Aside from undergoing plastic surgery, a number of well-known stars chose to begin the new year by altering the color and style of their hair for a fresh look. Meanwhile, others surprisingly chopped off their long tresses to let go of negative energy from the past.
From singers to models, and from rappers to actresses, here are celebrities who welcomed the new year with a new look.
1. Lizzo
In the beginning of 2024, Lizzo flaunted her slimmed-down look via social media. On January 3, the "Truth Hurts" hitmaker released a series of photos featuring herself confidently showing off her new appearance as she posed in a revealing outfit, including a skin-tight long green dress with huge cut-outs and silver embellishments on both of its sides.
Lizzo's new look might be the result of her diet and workout routine. In May 2023, she shared via TikTok, "I've always loved moving my body. I've always loved working out," adding that she was "very holistically conscious" about "food and supplements." However, she stressed, "I'm not tryna be thin. I don't ever want to be thin."
2. Sami Sheen
A few days ahead of wrapping up 2023, Sami Sheen surprised the public with a dramatic hair transformation. On December 17, the daughter of actor Charlie Sheen and actress Denise Richards debuted her brunette hair, which was let loose, styled into waves and parted in the middle, on her TikTok page.
