Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks Break Up
November 11, 2009 10:11:22Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks are a couple no more. The pair has called it quits after more than one year of dating. Official confirmation is yet to be made by either parties, but a source has informed People the separation "was mutual" and "they needed some time apart."
News of the split emerges about six months after Julianne and Chuck, both of whom are country music singers, competed together in "Dancing with the Stars". And in spite of their failed love relationship, the twosome is expected to attend this year's annual Country Music Association Awards which is slated to be held on Wednesday, November 11, during when Chuck is booked to cover the red carpet for Entertainment Tonight and Julianne is tapped as a presenter.
Kellie Pickler and Julianne Hough Are 2009 CMA Awards Presenters
October 28, 2009 11:10:17Several presenters for this year's Country Music Association Awards have been announced. Kellie Pickler, Julianne Hough and LeAnn Rimes are recruited for the job when the show is aired live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Wednesday, November 11.
Joining them to present awards at the annual event are NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., "Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts as well as cast of ABC's "The Middle", Neil Flynn and Patricia Heaton. There are also the likes of Jake Owen and Randy Houser in the presenters ensemble.

"I've been wanting a camera for so long and he got me one of those nice Nikon D5000s," she told the weekly publication on the gift that her boyfriend, country singer Chuck Wicks, gave to her during a low-key private celebration recently. "It's awesome. I'm addicted," she added.
Now that she has the camera, Julianne admitted she often takes the pics of her puppy called Lexi. "I've got a thousand pictures and they're all of my dog Lexi," so she gushed. Speaking of Lexi, the country music songstress claimed her fans also love the dog very much. "I did a show last night in Madison, Wis., and [fans] had signs that said 'Go, Lexi!', 'She's the cutest dog in the world!' and 'We love Lexi!' I'm like, 'Okay, my dog is more famous than I am'," she revealed. "People are always like, '[Lexi] needs to have her own Twitter account!' "
Confirmed, Julianne Hough in Talks for 'Footloose' Remake
June 20, 2009 02:06:48Julianne Hough, the two-time champion of "Dancing with the Stars", is officially in talks to join the cast of Paramount Pictures' remake of "Footloose". The Hollywood Reporter came out with a story that the singer/dancer is pursuing to make her film debut and join Chace Crawford in the project.
Hough was previously rumored to have auditioned for the role of Ariel Moore which was once made famous by Lori Singer. About her, director Kenny Ortega has said during his appearance at 2009 MTV Movie Awards, "I love her. I adore her. I'm a big fan of hers. Not only how beautiful but how deep her talent goes."
Taylor Swift to Duet With T-Pain at 2009 CMT Music Awards

'Dancing with the Stars' Sends Chuck Wicks Home
April 29, 2009 11:04:30Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough have been eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday, April 28, leaving five to compete in the show. The real life couple was in the bottom two along with Melissa Rycroft and Toni Dovolani who missed Monday's performance due to injury.
The axing of Chuck and Julianne was unexpected for they scored 9-9-8 which total to 26 out of 30 with their cha cha cha. Melissa and Tony, on the other hand, were judged based on the rehearsal footage of their Jive and scored 21 out of 30. But apparently the audience favor in the latter couple and vote them to be back next week.
Julianne Hough Having Her Last Season in 'Dancing with the Stars'

Finding that her schedule is cramped with both activities, the 20-year-old decides to let go the dancing stint on "Dancing with the Stars" in order to focus on her singing career.
"I will be taking next season off," Hough confirmed to Fox News. She is currently in the eight season of the dancing competition, partnering with real-life boyfriend, Chuck Wicks. "I wasn't planning to come back this season because I wanted to focus on my music," Hough said further. "But I went back and it's been so much fun to dance with my good friend who happens to be my boyfriend."

Apparently the leaked casting scoop last week hits the bullseye for all three, country singer Jewel Kilcher, actress Denise Richards and reality TV star Steve-O, are confirmed signing up for the dancing competition.
Bringing a different twist, however, this season for the first time presents celebrity spouses that will compete against each other. Rodeo star Ty Murray joins the show to battle his wife, Jewel. The professional dancer who has been eliminated from the show on November 18 has decided not to return to the competition show next season.
Hough assures that her definite absence from "Dancing" show will only be for the next season, but she cannot give any guarantee whether she will return for other upcoming seasons. She states, "I won't be on Dancing this spring season. I don't know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see."
