This wasn't the first time Meryl made headline at this year's event. During the red carpet arrival, "The Devil Wears Prada" actress successfully made Kelly Clarkson freak out after meeting her.
The "American Idol" winner was wrapping up her interview with Ryan Seacrest when she spotted Meryl on the red carpet. "Oh my God!" the singer screamed as she turned around. "That's Meryl!" She then told Meryl that she had always wanted to meet her since she was 8 years old, leading Meryl to hug and kiss Kelly on the cheek.
