The final episode of the sixth season will be extended an extra 30 minutes.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" fans who are anxiously awaiting the appearance of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the Season 6 finale will apparently have to wait a few more minutes. AMC has decided to extend the final episode of the sixth season for an extra 30 minutes.

This year's season ender, airing on April 3, will now be 90 minutes long instead of the standard 60 minutes. The extra time could allow more time for the introduction of Negan, the long-awaited most notorious villain from "The Walking Dead" comic book.

While "The Walking Dead" has done extended episodes before, this time will be the first one which extended purely to torture fans worrying about who lives and who dies.

In a preview for next week's penultimate episode, Rick gets alerted about a member's disappearance. Wasting no time, Daryl rides his bike out of Alexandria to find the missing person. Without much preparation and back-up, Glenn thinks Daryl is going to get himself killed. Refusing to risk more lives, Rick orders the rest to stay inside Alexandria and get ready for a fight.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
