'Spider-Man' Reboot Will Film in Atlanta, May Feature Two Other Huge Characters
Movie

Tom Holland confirms the upcoming 'Spider-Man' reboot will be filming in Atlanta just like two previous Marvel movies 'Captain America: Civil War' and 'Ant-Man'.

AceShowbiz - "Spider-Man" reboot would be shooting in Atlanta, Tom Holland confirmed in an interview with SuperHeroHype.com. The untitled new Spider-Man movie will start production sometime next year in the same place where they shot "Captain America: Civil War" and "Ant-Man".

"We're shooting in Atlanta for most of it, because they have studios there and I think it's cheaper to build a New York set than it is to shoot here, because it's going to be very expensive," Tom explained, "We probably will end up here (in New York) for one week or two."

Tom also discussed Spider-Man's uniqueness in the MCU. "I think one of the most interesting things about Peter Parker for us is that he's the only person in the MCU now that has a secret identity, so we all know who everyone else is," he said, "I think it's quite interesting to go back to that hiding behind a mask."

When asked about joining "The Avengers" cast who have done three or four movies together, Tom said Robert Downey Jr. had been very welcoming and helped him clinched his role. "I guess they're such easy people," he shared, "They're lovely people and Robert did my first screen test and he was so welcoming."

"He took me aside and gave me a little advice about the audition. Like with Ron (Howard), I just felt at ease with him, 'cause he's just a down to earth easy-going guy, and I can't wait to get to work with them more. I'm really excited to get to work and be a part of that universe," he added.

Spider-Man is set to appear in "Captain America: Civil War", but could his upcoming solo movie feature Captain America and Iron Man in supporting roles?

During a recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", Chris Evans and Robert Downey bantered about an upcoming filming they'd have to do. After joking about how hot it was filming in Atlanta, Robert told Chris, "By the way, we are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I." Chris responded, "I know, I'm ready, I'm ready."

Fans previously assumed that Robert and Chris' joke was about their involvement in "Avengers: Infinity War Part I", but that's years away. However, after Tom said he's filming "Spider-Man" reboot in Atlanta, fans began to speculate that Robert and Chris would join the 19-year-old actor.
