AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson's Las Vegas concerts are no longer scheduled to take place later this month. The singer has decided to cancel the shows at Planet Hollywood's Axis theater on October 9 and 10 after she received "medical advice to rest her vocal chords," according to a statement issued on Thursday, October 1.
However, Jackson is still expected to visit Las Vegas as part of her ongoing world tour. The two canceled dates have now been rescheduled for May 14, 2016, but it's slated to be held at a different venue at the MGM Grand Garden.
Fans with tickets to the Planet Hollywood shows will get refunds and will have the first chance to buy tickets for the new date starting on October 14. Tickets for the May 14 performance go on sale to the general public on October 16.
Jackson has been touring North America in support of her comeback album, "Unbreakable", which is due out on Friday, October 2.
