The actress who plays the female assassin in 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' is expected to play a significant role in the 'Star Trek Into Darkness' sequel.

AceShowbiz - Sofia Boutella is added to "Star Trek 3". Fresh off her role as a blade-legged assassin in "Kingsman: The Secret Service", the actress is now cast in an unspecified "lead role" for the "Star Trek Into Darkness" sequel.
She will join returning cast like Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, and Zoe Saldana. Idris Elba is reportedly in talks for a villainous role in the third installment of the rebooted "Star Trek" franchise.
"Star Trek 3" is set to open on July 8, 2016 Stateside. J.J. Abrams who directed the first two films sits this one out due to his commitment to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", but he is still involved as a producer. He hands over the reins to Justin Lin with a script penned by Doug Jung and one of the returning cast members Pegg.
