A representative for the Agency for the Performing Arts has confirmed that the company decides to sever ties with the '7th Heaven' actor after five years.

AceShowbiz - The Agency for the Performing Arts, which has been representing Stephen Collins for five years, has decided to sever ties with the "7th Heaven" actor a week after an audio of him allegedly admitting to molesting underage girls made its way out to public. A representative for the APA confirmed the decision to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, October 9.

Earlier this month, TMZ released a tape recording of a man's voice, which allegedly is Collins', saying he exposed himself to some girls. The audio was secretly recorded during a therapy session by his estranged wife Faye Grant, but Grant said she had nothing to do with its release to media. She also denied claims made by Collins' lawyer that she was trying to extort some money from Collins during their divorce proceeding.

Before news of the shocking confession made headlines, Collins penned two erotic novels. A novel titled "Eye Contact", released in 1994, tells the story of a character named Nicolette "Nick" Stallings who is an exhibitionist. The other work called "Double Exposure" was released in 1998.

According to a new report by TMZ, a woman who claims she was abused by Collins between the age of 11 and 13 decided to come out with the story after reading his novels in 2000. She reportedly also wrote e-mail to Grant to warn her about his action and eventually reported him to police in 2012.
