The troubled star has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold in a California hospital where she will be held for 72 hours after accusing her father of abusing her as a child.

AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes was immediately taken into a hospital in Pasadena, California shortly after touching down in Los Angeles on Friday, October 10. She has since been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold where she will be held for 72 hours. According to TMZ, the hold can be extended for up to two weeks.

The site reported that Amanda thought she would take a car service after arriving at LAX to The London Hotel where she's going to meet her parents and their lawyer. But instead at the behest of her parents, the car service took her into a Pasadena hospital where their lawyer, Tamar Arminak, was waiting for her with doctors.

According to the site, there will be a plan to get another conservatorship during the psychiatric hold.

Earlier that day, Amanda took to Twitter to accuse her father of sexually, verbally and physically abusing her as a child. The "Easy A" actress tweeted, "My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child." Later, she clarified that her father "never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."

Amanda's mother Lynn Bynes has issued a statement through her lawyer, denying the accusations. "I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years," she said, "Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually."

She continued, "These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."
