Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines wants the government to ban the group from entering the country following the leak of Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson's pot-smoking video.

One Direction's scheduled concerts in the Philippines may be ruined. Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has urged the government to ban the British/Irish boyband from entering the country following the emergence of a video showing Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking a joint.

"Do not lead [the youth in] the wrong direction," said Father Conegundo Garganta, executive secretary of the CBCP-Episcopal Commission on the Youth. "Why admit poisonous influences? There is enough poison in our society."

He also said that "parents should stop their children from buying the expensive concert tickets of [drug addicts]."

One Direction, who's on their ongoing "Where We Are" tour, is scheduled to play a two-day concert in the Philippines in March 2015. After the pot-smoking video leaked, many Directioners around the world expressed their disappointment by posting photos or videos of them shredding and burning tickets to the band's upcoming concerts.

Member Liam Payne has reacted to fans' anger. He recently took to Twitter to apologize, writing, "I love my boys and maybe things have gone a little sideways I apologize for that. We are only in our 20s and we all do stupid things at this age."
