The 'Can't Be Tamed' singer recreates her 'We Can't Stop' music video to poke fun at government shutdown, and appears as Scarlett Johansson auditioning for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie on 'SNL'.

AceShowbiz - All the criticisms directed at Miley Cyrus for her raunchy MTV Video Music Award performance and her sexy music videos could not stop her from bringing the subject to "Saturday Night Live" last weekend. The former Disney star made fun of her controversial stage act at the VMAs in the cold open of the October 5 episode of "SNL", with Kenan Thompson playing a man who lived in an apocalyptic future which he blamed on Cyrus' VMA performance.

In her monologue, Cyrus said she didn't apologize for her VMA performance. "If I owe anyone apology, it's the people who make the bottom half of shirts," she stated, before adding, "But I can give you an update of what she's up to. She was murdered."

The 20-year-old singer/actress later made light of the government shutdown situation in a sketch that spoofed her "We Can't Stop" music video. She played an overly sexual Michele Bachmann while Taran Killam played a sexed-up version of politician John Boehner. They twerked and partied in the clip, while Jay Pharaoh's President Obama peeked from behind a curtain.

"This is our house/ This is our rules/ And we did stop (the government)/ Yeah, we did stop (shut it down)," Cyrus sang the song whose title was switched to "We Did Stop". "Can't you see it's we/ Who are right?/ Can't you see it's we/ Who 'bout that life?"

Cyrus also appeared as Scarlett Johansson in another skit about the screen test for "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie which paired unlikely celebrities (played by "SNL" cast members) to portray Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Cyrus' Johansson was auditioning with Christoph Waltz, Philip Seymour Hoffman was paired with Kristen Stewart, Steve Harvey with Rebel Wilson and many others.

In her final sketch, Cyrus stripped down to her bra as she wanted to film a sex tape with Kyle Mooney, who had second thought of it after his friends caught them when they were just about to begin. Cyrus then invited his older brother in an attempt to convince Mooney to do it, but she ended up hooking up with his brother.

The former "Hannah Montana" star also served as the musical guest that night, singing her hits "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop". Her performances were tame as she delivered the latter song in an acoustic version.
