Miller learns about the baby's sex in an episode of 'The Doctors', revealing that this baby will be 'the first girl grandchild on my side of the family.'

Former gymnast Shannon Miller and husband John Falconetti will be parents of a baby girl. The 36-year-old mom got to know the sex of her unborn baby on an episode of "The Doctors" which was broadcast on Wednesday, March 13. Miller and Falconetti are already parents to a 3-year-old son, Rocco.

Before getting ultrasound, Miller said that she did not have special preference on the sex of their baby. "If we get a boy we have lots of clothes and toys, and I think we feel like we have the boy thing down at this point. If we get a girl, I'm going to be a little intimidated but it's going to be fantastic." However, it seemed that her son Rocco wanted a sister. "I think Rocco wants a girl. It'll be the first girl grandchild on my side of the family," she concluded.

Miller, who is an ovarian cancer survivor, revealed that she previously "talked about having another child" with her husband. With one ovary and cancer treatment, the possibility of having another baby decreased. She further explained, "We knew with the surgery, having my left tube and ovary removed along with the tumor, that that would decrease the chances. Then you add chemotherapy on top of that."

"My oncologist said at least a year to wait before even trying. It really gave us a chance to appreciate everything we already had. We got a the green light to start trying and we are now five and a half months along," Miller said.
