Hugh Jackman Sings Gettysburg Address on 'Letterman' to Sway Oscar Voters

During his visit to 'The Late Night Show with David Letterman', the 'Les Miserables' actor tries to outshine Daniel Day-Lewis' on-screen performance as Abraham Lincoln.

Hugh Jackman makes a special campaign when coming to "The Late Night Show with David Letterman". Channeling his inner Abraham Lincoln, the actor shows off his singing skills to sway Daniel Day-Lewis' supporters so that he can win Best Actor at the upcoming 85th annual Academy Awards.

Wearing a fake beard and stovepipe hat to resemble the 16th President of the United States, Jackman says, "The truth is, I wanted to sway a few last-minute Oscar voters. I'll be honest. I mean, really, can Daniel Day-Lewis do this?" He then proceeds to sing the opening line of the Gettysburg Address.

Both actors are facing off each other for Best Actor title at the Oscars for their respective roles in "Les Miserables" and "Lincoln". "The Wolverine" actor jokes, "I don't know why I didn't get cast [in 'Lincoln']. Really, I have no idea."
