"American Idol" judge Mariah Carey and "The Voice" mentor, Cee-Lo Green will put their respective shows' rivalry aside in the meantime to participate in NBC's 15th annual "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" TV special. The show, which celebrates the lighting of the Christmas tree in New York's Rockefeller Center, will air on Wednesday, November 28 at 8-9 P.M. ET.

The two artists will perform alongside other great acts like veteran singer Rod Stewart, country crooner Trace Adkins, singer-songwriter Victoria Justice, former "Voice" competitor Chris Mann, and Italian pop-opera trio Il Volo. Celebrities Billy Crystal and Bette Midler will also make special appearances during the event hosted by "Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie and weatherman Al Roker. This year's telecast will also include a special one-hour pre-show broadcast from 7-8 P.M. ET.

The special holiday event will feature the lighting of the 80-foot tall, world-famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. During the live broadcast, a star-studded show is presented to viewers as part of the annual tradition of lighting up the significant Christmas landmark.

NBC first televised the tree lighting event back in 1951 on "The Kate Smith Show" and as part of the nationwide "Howdy Doody" television show from 1953-55. The Rockefeller tree was first erected in 1933 and was decked with 700 lights and stood in front of the RCA Building, now the GE Building.
