Justin Bieber to Release Second Perfume 'Girlfriend'

The new fragrance is going to be launched one day before 'Believe' hits the market in the United States.

Following the massive success of his first fragrance for women "Someday", Justin Bieber is gearing up to release a second perfume for his female fans called "Girlfriend". He is going to release the scent on June 18, a day before his new album "Believe" makes its out in the United States.

While the first one is bottled in a clear glass with its lid featuring overlapping heart petals that form into the shape of a rose, this new one comes in a pink-and-purple spray bottle. It's additionally caged in a multi-colored criss-crossed cocoon.

To promote the fragrance, Bieber launched a sing-off competition. He invites his fans to send a video of them covering his single "Boyfriend" and changed every "Boyfriend" word with "Girlfriend". The chosen ones will get their video aired during his NBC Special on June 21. A few special selects will be included in an commercial for the scent.

Bieber became a world idol at record time, and at the age of 18, he's now stepping into adulthood. "Adult artist? Just because he's legal now doesn't mean he's an adult," his manager, Scooter Braun argued to Billboard. "He still needs guidance; he's still finding his way. He's no longer a boy, but he's definitely not yet a man."

He then praised the teen for handling the media scrutiny quite well. "No one in the history of the world has ever grown up with the pressure that he has, being a solo artist that young, that famous, in a world with technology that exposes us 24/7," he gushed.

"He was literally going through puberty in front of the entire world, with everyone expecting something from him and a lot people waiting for him to screw up. He's a fighter. I'm proud of him - how's he's stayed true to himself and taken control of the entire situation."
