AceShowbiz - There is a whisper out there that Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson (II) will name their upcoming baby girl Maxwell. Simpson, who can give birth any days now, previously revealed in the new issue of Elle magazine that they have decided on a "nontraditional" name for the tot.
A so-called "family friend" leaked the name to In Touch, saying Jessica and Eric "are going to call [their baby] Maxwell, Maxi for short." Indeed, Maxwell is Eric's middle name and also his grandmother's maiden name. "Jessica wanted a name with meaning," the friend added.
Jessica has been wearing an "M" pendant around her neck but she did not reveal its meaning when asked by Ryan Seacrest in an interview.
Regarding choosing a name for the baby, Jessica told Elle, "We're sure on the name. It's nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they'll know ... why."
