After missing from several episodes, Eric Delko will be seen regularly on the "CSI: Miami" team again. Announcing through Twitter was the character's portrayer Adam Rodriguez who wrote, "Twit Fam, I have some news that I hope will make CSI:Miami fans happy. Eric Delko will be back to the show full time 4 all of season 9!!!"
CBS has also confirmed the return although did not go into details when he would be seen regularly since. Following a series of traumatic events in Eric's life, the character was written off in several episodes in late season seven and the current season eight. While his character is in and out of the unit, Rodriguez spent his time filming a recurring role on "Ugly Betty". But now that ABC has announced that "Ugly" is coming to an end, Rodriguez will have the time to concentrate on "CSI".
Meanwhile, TV Guide said that "Delko will return when Calleigh faces a life-and-death situation at a crime scene. While he's around, he'll also launch an undercover investigation of the CSI lab for the State's Attorney's office."
Co-executive producer Barry O'Brien supported this, saying "They're going to face a defining moment of decision. All the starts and stops in their relationship are going to be put to the test and they will finally make a decision that will inform their relationship for the remainder of the series."

I do hope the writers keep Eric and Calleigh together. It will not be the same if they just remain colleagues. I also wish that Alex would come back.
at last Delko is back... I need some update about season 8 cos i actually fling mine into a waste being after realinzing that the perfect character "Eric Delko"is missing...

Glad to know that Delko will be back full time in season 9. Hope that He and Calleigh can solidify their relationship as a married couple. With their smarts, they can work well together especially with Lt. Caine's keen sense of direction in advice that seems to take care of problems. The world needs to see shows where stability can be in homes inspite of the adversities.

I also think the CSI Trilogy things are stupid. Who was the brainiac who came up with that idea. Fire him.
There is a God . I have stopped watching CSI since Delco left. It's not the same. There is no more perfect couple than he and Callie. Bring back the GOOD show.
