Nevertheless, he says his inconvenience turns into something good now that he has become a famous actor.
Long before embracing his fame after starring in last year's hit movie "Twilight", Kellan Lutz was insecure about his lips. Revealing the matter is the actor himself on the red carpet of "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" Los Angeles premiere on Monday, November 16.
"I played the trombone growing up and my lips developed and I thought it was because I was playing the trombone," Kellan told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson. "You have to use that buzzing, so I thought that's what made me have big lips and I was very insecure about it. I was like, 'I have huge lips!' "
However, "Now it's turned into something good," added the movie hunk. "It's funny, I just heard [a rumor] that I'd been getting lip injections ... collagen or something like that."
Kellan Lutz is currently busy promoting "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" which is going to be released in the U.S. on November 20. In anticipation of the much awaited flick, he made an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for an interview on Wednesday, November 18.
