Setting record straight on circulating rumor about 'Breaking Dawn' casting call, 'Twilight' casting director states that the team have yet to be hired to provide casting services.

AceShowbiz - Contrary to the swirling rumor, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" has yet to receive a green light. Providing the denial was Gossip Cop which has come out with a claim that "as of now, nothing is official." The site further quoted a Summit rep as saying, "The film has not been greenlit - and thus no decisions about the film's shooting location, start date, the director, etc...have been made."

The rumor that the production of "Breaking Dawn" has got the thumbs up was sparked by Acting-Auditions.org on Saturday, October 10. In the report, the blog claimed that Sunswept Entertainment was brought in by Summit as a second production company, and that casting call for other roles like Renesmee Cullen is likely. Accordingly, it reported that the filming which will take place in Portland, Oregon won't begin until September 2010.

While Gossip Cop delivered Summit's denial over the greenlit report, "Twilight" casting director Lana Veenker issued a statement related to the casting call on The Casting Scoop. "For the record, we have not yet been contacted by production about this possibility and have not been hired to provide casting services," so read the statement.

The next "Twilight Saga" movie to be seen in theaters is "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Awaiting its November 20 U.S. release, it centers on the personal conflict Bella experiences following Edward Cullen's abrupt departure. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return to reprise their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Meanwhile, the third film, "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse", is in production.
