Kris Allen's new single titled "Live Like We're Dying" has got a preview which features chorus of the song. The winner of "American Idol" season 8 confirmed on Twitter that the track will be debuted full on radio Z100 Monday, September 21 at 7:40 A.M.
A cover version of The Script's 2008 song of the same name, "Live Like We're Dying" is confirmed to be the first single from Kris' not-yet-titled debut album. The song didn't make it to The Script's debut album "The Script" but appeared in a b-side of their mini album "We Cry".
Kris Allen will release the album in U.S. on November 17. He works with The Calling's vocalist, Alex Band and will enter studio with Kevin Rudolf in October. He is also said to work with The Fray's guitarist Joe King and acclaimed producers Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse) and Claude Kelly (Leona Lewis, Akon).

well its no different from the script's version and Danny from the script has a nicer sound in his voice when he sings it, so i have to say im disapointed.

This is a great song for Kris. A very catchy upbeat single that has a great hook to it . He will be doing The Script a favour as he will make the band known in the US[ they are well known in Australia & Europe] when this song becomes a hit!! First singles of Idol winners are usually covers as the single comes out just after they finish the tour , so there's no time to do an original. Don't worry there's more time for the rest of the album & Kris is working with some great artists so the whole album will be great!! For now though there seem to be mostly positive comments from critics who do have the whole song!!
OMG good on you, Kris Allen. :) This actually sound really amazing. This has made my mind up...I will definately purchasing Kris' album as well as Adam's...and Allison Iraheta's too. I'm sorry to all who think Glamberts are transparent. I will always love Adam more than the other two...but, well, I actually have a bit of a soft spot for Kris :)plus Allison rocks as well :) Listen guys...sorry for all those who think us Glamberts are still bitter and resentful. Kris did a much better job on "ALL THESE THINGS THAT I'VE DONE" on the tour ... much better song for him ... but this is only one song ... wait till the album is released and see what else is on it ... IMO

I would love to hear the whole song. I love it. I see the Glamberts are here. Adam and Kris are friends and they still are upset? They are sad. They should be happy for Kris who is Adam's friend.
