Describing her labor time before giving birth to son Knight as "the longest most painful days" of her life, Kelis says she will remember the moment for the rest of her life.

AceShowbiz - First time mother Kelis is quick to tweet about her newborn son, Knight, sharing the pain she experienced when delivering the baby boy. "Ok so I did it, he's 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth," she began her Twitter post, before then adding, "I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don't understand when women say they don't remember giving birth." She went on writing, "I will remember for the rest of my life. He's kinda perfect btw :)".
Kelis was forced to skip a scheduled court appearance in her divorce case with estranged husband Nas when she was in labor on Tuesday, July 21. Nas, who was confirmed to be rushing to the hospital for the birth of the baby, has shared with fans his joy of welcoming his first child with Kelis. He announced in an online video recorded by Video Music Box, "My son is born today, so shout-out to my son, Knight".
Kelis and Nas, in the meantime, are undergoing divorce battle. She filed for legal separation from him in late April after more than four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. In addition to seeking the joint legal and physical custody of Knight, Kelis also seeks spousal support and child support from Nas.
On Thursday, July 23, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Nas must pay Kelis $30,471 in spousal support per month and $9,027 per month in child support. Besides, he was also ordered to pay $45,000 to cover her attorney fees and for a forensic accountant.
