Cameron Diaz is honored with the 2,386th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, thanks to her work in a wide range of films.

AceShowbiz - Cameron Diaz has on Monday, June 22, attended the ceremony honoring her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wearing an ivory embroidered linen dress and red patent leather corset belt from the Oscar de la Renta Resort Collection, she finished off her look with a pair of heels.

Supporting her during the event which took place at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the historic Egyptian Theatre were her older sister Chimene, fellow celebs Lucy Liu, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and film directors McG and Danny Boyle. Hundreds of Cameron's fans were also in attendance. Honored for her work in a wide range of films, the movie beauty credited the love that her mother and late father shared for her acceptance of the 2,386th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me, bright enough for me to be honored today with this star on the Walk of Fame," said the actress. She was also quoted as telling the Hollywood Reporter, "It will be cool to be under people's feet. It really is the place where people can understand exactly that actors are not really stars - they don't exist in the sky, they exist on the ground just like everybody else."

In another Cameron Diaz news, she will have her next film "My Sister's Keeper" being released in U.S. theaters this coming Friday, June 26.
