The first trailer for "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" has come out in the form of an international trailer. Brought into attention by Allocine, this around-two-minute video footage teases more than what the Super Bowl XLIII spot offered. This French trailer popped up just a day before the U.S. version is set to be debuted on May 1.
Providing more sneak peek into the live-action film, the trailer shows that the Cobra organization takes microscopic robot nanites and uses them to destroy the Eiffel Tower. It is further displayed that a special military task force, consisting of best operatives in the world, is being set up to combat these global threats. Then, the action sequences take over.
"G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" is based on the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise. Directed by "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" producer Stephen Sommers, it stars Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid, Marlon Wayans, Rachel Nichols, Arnold Vosloo and Said Taghmaoui among others. The action adventure has been set to arrive in U.S. theaters on August 7.
