Screen beauty Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized in an undisclosed Los Angeles-area hospital for her long battle with anal cancer.

AceShowbiz - Farrah Fawcett's fight against cancer keeps on going as she reportedly has been hospitalized and is in critical condition due to the particular disease. Radar Online, which is the first to bring the news to public's notice, claims the actress has been hospitalized for days in a Los Angeles-area hospital.

Several sources, moreover, say Farrah currently is unconscious, but in stable condition. Her former lover Ryan O'Neal reportedly is at her bedside. Their son Redmond James O'Neal, who quit his stint in a California rehab centre on Wednesday, April 1 after allegedly failing a drugs test, was also at the hospital, Radar Online reports.

Name of the hospital where Farrah has been treated isn't disclosed. And while the exact date of her hospitalization also isn't made public, People magazine claims in a report on its site that Farrah has been hospitalized since Thursday, April 2. A call made Sunday, April 5 to Farrah's spokesman in an attempt to seek comment on her latest condition wasn't returned.

Farrah Fawcett, who earned her worldwide fame after starring as Jill Munroe on TV Series "Charlie's Angels" (1976), was first diagnosed with anal cancer back in 2006. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, doctors pronounced in early 2007 that she was cancer free. Unfortunately, the disease returned in May 2007, prompting her to travel to Germany for embryonic stem cell cancer treatment, an alternative method which is not available in the United States. At that time, Ryan O'Neal accompanied her.
