Alec Baldwin reportedly approached Meryl Streep after SAG Awards and the actress agreed for a cameo in '30 Rock'.
Along with her win at Screen Actors Guild Awards last weekend, Meryl Streep earns an acting gig in "30 Rock". The actress who snatched the Best Actress title for her role in "Doubt" was reportedly in a good mood and immediately said yes when Alec Baldwin offered her to join in the show.
New York Daily News reported that Baldwin took the opportunity to approach Streep and it was not so hard a task to do. "Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show. She said yes immediately," the publication quoted an insider. No words yet whether this swing-by offer will lead to a serious cameo.
"30 Rock" won 3 awards that night, including Outstanding Actor and Actress for Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey respectively as well as Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series. The show has been full-speed in having guest stars this season with Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston and Salma Hayek among others. On February 5 there will be a cameo by Jon Hamm, also a winner at SAG.
