The private memorial service for the late Jett Travolta is performed based on John Travolta's Scientologist faith and closed to outsiders.

AceShowbiz - A number of relatives and close friends have been seen attending the private memorial service for John Travolta and Kelly Preston's young son, Jett Travolta, who died of seizure during a family vacation last week. The service was held Thursday, January 8 at the family's Ocala, Fla. estate.

People attending the proceedings, which remained closed to outsiders, were screened by security before being allowed to approach the Travoltas' house. "The family is doing an incredibly good job keeping this private. With all the media here, no one's been able to get much," Reuven Fenton, a reporter for The New York Post told the local Ocala Star-Banner.

Prior to the memorial service, "Caterers and florist trucks had been passing in and out of the complex throughout the day, while neighbors and other well-wishers left mementos and flowers outside Jumbolair's main gate," E! Online reported.

The service reportedly was performed based on Travolta's Scientologist faith and begun at 4 P.M. "Shortly after 4:30 P.M., Ocala resident Gabriel Berryhill performed a traditional Native American musical number with his drum, the second of two brief performances held in front of Jumbolair," Ocala Star-Banner reported. Still according to Ocala Star-Banner, the service was said to have come to an end at about 4:50 P.M. as some cars were seen leaving the gates of Jumbolair Estates.
