'300' Sequel Definitely in the Making

Giving confirmation to the speculation about '300' follow-up movie, Legendary Pictures made public that the script is being developed.

This past week has been filled with many reports about various sequels on the work. One of them speculated about the development of sequel/prequel to the Greek warriors movie "300". But, words circulating around the epic drama won't be a mere rumor any longer.

Recently, Legendary Pictures have given out confirmation that the studio have been developing the follow-up of "300" for Warner Bros. Pictures. The production company further announced that they will team up with Frank Miller, the original creator of "300", for the script of the second movie and is looking forward to sign director Zack Snyder once again to take the behind-the-lens role as helmer.

On the part of Snyder, the filmmaker has confessed that though he is definitely interested in working for the film's future project, he won't make any commitment yet until he has seen where Miller will be taking the next movie. Additionally, Snyder allegedly is the one who has ignited sequel speculation once again when he discussed about the possibility of the second movie at the 34th Saturn Awards on June 24.

Telling the epic story how the army of 300 Spartans fights to their death against Xerxes and his invading Persian army, "300" stars Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham and Dominic West among others. It has opened atop box office chart on its opening weekend pulling in an impressive $70.8 million and went on to collect as much as $456.1 million worldwide.
