Words have been circulating that another "Untitled Nightmare on Elm Street Prequel" will be made. According to Bloody-disgusting.com, New Line Cinema is reportedly putting the horror project into production as "Freddy vs Jason 2" is put on hold indefinitely.
Accordingly, John McNaughton is attached to direct the film, while Robert Shaye will be the producer. Details concerning what the film will be about hasn't been shared. It is only reported that "Nightmare" will possibly start the production after another New Line Cinema's horror "Friday the 13th" finished its production.
Meanwhile, "Friday the 13th" helmed by Marcus Nispel is expected to be released on February 13, 2009. The movie that centers on the origins of the Jason Voorhees character is produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.
