Another family member from the Raymond clan is set to take off in his music career. JLack, little brother of rapper Usher, has signed a publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing, as set up by manager and mom, Jonnetta Patton.
"JLack is an incredibly talented songwriter and producer. He has a true musical sensitivity and this, coupled with his incredible drive, is the combination for a bright future. He has emerged gracefully as a true songwriter," said Big Jon Platt, Executive Vice President/Head of Urban at EMI Music Publishing.
Among the "talent" specified here are his credit in R'n'B singer Lloyd's single 'Get It Shawty' that peaked at #16 on Billboard Hot 100 chart, and his remix of Gene Kelly's 'Singin' in the Rain' that was showcased by brother Usher at Movies Rock.
According to a press release, JLack is working in the studio with Lloyd for the latter's new album and also assisting Usher in the production of his upcoming album.
