Not only Carrie Underwood is an American Idol, but also she's a vegetarian idol. The star has been named he "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). In companion, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also is chosen for the same honor.
Further, it is claimed that PETA noted Underwood wore a shirt that said "V is for Vegetarian" on an episode of "American Idol," whereas for Martin, he and wife Gwyneth Paltrow made headlines by giving their daughter a vegan (VEE'-guhn) birthday cake on her first birthday. Both stars choosing automatically placed them up above other celebrity vegetarians in the running, like David Duchovny, Reese Witherspoon, Avril Lavigne, Joaquin Phoenix and Prince.
