Diana Krall Confirms Pregnancy

The popular Canadian Jazz pianist and singer, Diana Krall, is expecting. The good news was confirmed Sunday June 25th, 2006 by Krall and husband Elvis Costello's spokesman.

The baby is due in December later this year, just in time for the couple's third wedding anniversary. Good news come in two for the pair then.

The Works for DreamWorks, Spielberg Included

DreamWorks Pictures is working on dream projects! One of which involves Hollywood's outstanding movie director, Steven Spielberg.

Through its CEO, Stacey Snider, DreamWorks stated that Spielberg is targeted to direct new screenplays, after his 2005 "War of the Worlds" and "Munich". The next queuing project for him is the sequel of the legendary "Indiana Jones 4". This new lining up project will be under George Lucas' Lucasfilm and Paramount Pictures's financing. The script is penned by David Koepp and scheduled to be ready in the following three months, at the most.

Portraying the Man of Steel in the highly anticipated and long awaited movie "Superman Returns" has made Brandon Routh an idol, especially for female fans. It wasn't a surprise then to see hundreds of movie fans soaked the red carpet at Century 20 Theater at the Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines for a glimpse of the starlet.

The actor and his girlfriend for two and a half years, Courtney Ford, walked the red carpet before a private charity screening as he glad-handed fans for more than an hour.

Another big wedding took place during the weekend besides that of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's. It's the wedding of Marcia Cross and stockbroker Tom Mahoney.

The pair walked down the aisle on Saturday June 24th, 2006 at the Church of Our Savior Episcopal Parish in San Gabriel, California. Reception followed at the Ritz-Carlton in nearby Pasadena, so said a source.

TV Mogul Aaron Spelling Died

It was a great loss for Hollywood entertainment industry. The TV mogul, Aaron Spelling, died Friday June 23rd, 2006 at his Los Angeles estate with wife Candy and son Randy at his side. He was 83.

Detailing on his death, Aaron's publicist Kevin Sasaki revealed the TV titan passed away at 6:25 p.m. The cause of death was complications from the stroke he had suffered June 18.

Another Hold from Sony for "3:10 to Yuma"

The director of the critical and commercial hit "Walk the Line", James Mangold is heading up to start shooting "3:10 to Yuma". The schedule is set to begin in October, with Russell Crowe in the leading role.

"Yuma" was eventually produced this summer for Sony Pictures. It was also prepared to start shooting until Sony put the project on a hold. Mangold is now striving with Cathy Konrad, as the producers, to collaborate with other studios.

Diddy, rock disc jockey Rodney Bingenheimer and Barbara Walters are all among the many Hollywood public figures slated to be honored a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As of this year recipients, they are all announced Friday June 23rd, 2006 by Walk of Fame committee chairman Johnny Grant.

The 23 recipients for 2007 also include the likes of Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Lauren Shuler Donner, Jamie Foxx, John Goodman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert Altman, Erik Estrada, Kiefer Sutherland, Jerry Stiller, Dick Wolf, Mariah Carey, The Doors, Crystal Gayle and many more.

"Committed Life" Receives Its Writer

The new lining up movie project of Warner Bros., "Committed for Life", is having the scriptwriter credit goes to Shane Morris. The producer might go to Bob Cooper under Landscape Entertainment.

Morris appears to the scriptwriter for the on going Warner Bros.' screenplay, "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning". No further details upon the credits and the casts are revealed so far.

Justin Lin Revives Bruce Lee, in Comedy

Bruce Lee is back! Well, indirectly. Under the hand of Justin Lin, the helm for the sensational "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift", the old rendezvous of Lee's remarkable kung-fu kicks is going to entertain moviegoers, in comedy form.

Lin is going to start shooting within six more weeks for a movie he called as the "a comedy about denial, more than anything". The movie does take the legendary Bruce Lee as the underlying idea. Setting back in the 1970s, Lin is going to unveil the real thing happened during the filming of Lee's dream project, "Game of Death". It was Lee's movie project put on hold due to his starring in the Warner Bros.' screenplay project, "Enter the Dragon" back in 1973.

She commissioned US artist Don Bachardy to paint three portraits of her to record the different stages of her pregnancy. Rumors on the street say Bachardy flew to Paris and Namibia to paint the 'Tomb Raider' actress before she gave birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel last month.
