NBC has responded to the criticism that latest "The Biggest Loser" winner Rachel Frederickson dropped so much weight that she looked unhealthy. Meanwhile, Frederickson, who lost 155 pounds or almost 60 percent of her body weight, preferred to dodge the question about people's concern on her new appearance.

NBC and show production company Shine America said in a statement, "We support Rachel and all of 'The Biggest Loser' contestants who have shared their journeys over the past 15 seasons. We remain committed to helping contestants achieve healthy weight loss and live healthier lifestyles, and to inspiring viewers to do the same."

Kim Kardashian will walk down the aisle for the third time this May, it has been reported. The reality show star and fiance Kanye West reportedly have decided to move up their wedding date by two months.

According to Us Weekly, the couple initially planned to get hitched in Paris in July but later changed the date to May. The location itself was confirmed by Kardashian when she appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last month. "I'm not telling where or the date, but I think it's kind of obvious it's in Paris," she told the talk show host.

Philip Seymour Hoffman's Friend Sues Over Report They Were Gay Lovers

Playwright David Bar Katz, who discovered Philip Seymour Hoffman's body in the actor's bathroom on Sunday, February 2, has launched a lawsuit against National Enquirer after the publication reported that he and Hoffman were gay lovers. Enquirer, owned by America Media Inc., reported that Bar Katz gave them an exclusive interview in which he admitted to have romanced Hoffman and saw the actor using heroin. The publication also alleged that Bar Katz had seen Hoffman freebase cocaine the night before his death.

"The story is a complete fabrication: There was no interview," the lawsuit said. "Bar Katz and Hoffman were never lovers. Bar Katz did not see Hoffman freebasing cocaine the night before he died, or at any other time. Bar Katz never saw Hoffman use heroin or cocaine." He insisted that there was no meeting between him and three National Enquirer's writers and that he "unquestionably has not spoken to them or anyone else from the Enquirer since Hoffman's death."

During his appearance on the late-night talk show, Damon told host David Letterman that last week he received two giant baskets of fruits from Fey and Poehler. The two comedians additionally attached two letters. One letter was an apology from them for hurting his feelings with their jokes at the award show, in which they called him "garbage man."

Tom Cruise, who recently settled his $50 million defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media, now finds himself on the other side of the law. The actor has been hit with $1 billion lawsuit for alleged copyright infringement.

Timothy Patrick McLanahan, who filed the suit in December, claims his script idea was stolen for 2011's film "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol". He named Cruise, Brad Grey, Paramount Pictures and 10 others as defendants.

"Ray Donovan" adds Hank Azaria to the cast line-up of its second season. The Gargamel of "The Smurfs" films has nabbed a major role on the critically-acclaimed series as James Cochran, the ambitious head of the L.A. division of the FBI, who becomes a thorn in Ray's side.

Azaria is joined by Sherilyn Fenn ("Twin Peaks"), who will guest star as James' frumpy wife, Holly Cochran. Both new cast members are booked for multi-episode arcs. More guest stars are coming to the show in its sophomore season since the production team is also casting for an ace reporter and detective.

News on Wednesday, February 5. "Cheyenne Jackson and entrepreneur Jason Landau are pleased to happily confirm that they are engaged," the representative said. A source previously told Us Weekly that the couple had "already begun planning the wedding!"

Jackson and Landau went public with their relationship in October. In December, Jackson was joined by his boyfriend on the red carpet at the amFAR Inspiration Gala in L.A. The actor is an ambassador for the organization.

Elton John has picked up movie rights to the famous stage musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" through his production company, Rocket Pictures. According to The Wrap, the British music icon is now going to adapt the story into an animated film.

Created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the musical tells the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors. "I have always thought 'Joseph' was a strong contender for an animation production, and I'm delighted this is now going to happen," Rice gushes in a statement.

Following the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, some people started to open up about their battle with addiction. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, February 4, Cher's son with Gregg Allman, Elijah Blue Allman, talked about his past experience with drugs, saying that he started using them when he was only 11 years old.

"I started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around 11. I mean it's just what you did, it's just what everybody did," the 37-year-old guitarist said. At that time, he took marijuana and ecstasy before later moving to heroin and stronger drugs. "I [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that's when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates."

The "Neon Lights" singer, who sought treatment for drug abuse and other issues in 2010, shared some wise words on Twitter on Wednesday, February 5. "Weakness is living in denial. Only the strongest people ask for help," she tweeted.

A representative for Gomez confirmed earlier that day that the "Come & Get It" singer checked into the Dawn of the Meadows facility in Arizona. The representative did not reveal more details, but stated that the rehab was "not for substance abuse." She was admitted to the facility on January 5 and completed the treatment about two weeks later.

"American Idol" sent 212 people to Hollywood this season, but for some it might be a very short trip to the famous district. As soon as they arrived at the airport, they were transported to a soundstage inside a hangar on the airport grounds instead of being taken to the hotel. Fifty two of them, whom the judges "were on the fence about," had to sing immediately for the judges.

Caitlin Johnson, Adam Roth and Khristian D'Avis were among those who failed to convince the judges. Following the performances, the other 160 contestants were sent to the hotel while the 52 singers were divided into two groups. One group was taken to the hotel while the other went to the airport to get sent back home. Thirty-two people were eliminated in this round.

According to Deadline, the half-hour scripted comedy series has received 6-episode series order. The show is set in the world of professional basketball and follows Cam Calloway after he signs a multi-million dollar contract with an NBA team in Atlanta and is subsequently thrown into the limelight.

NBC Yanks 'The Michael J. Fox Show', USA Cancels 'Psych'

Two shows are coming to an end. NBC has pulled struggling sitcom "The Michael J. Fox Show" from its schedule after airing 15 episodes of its freshman season, while USA Network pulls the plug on "Psych" after eight-long seasons.

NBC will replace the Michael J. Fox-starring sitcom on its Thursday timeslot with Jane Lynch's "Hollywood Game Night" starting February 27, following NBC's Winter Olympics coverage. It's unclear whether the remaining seven episodes, which were completed last December, will be broadcast.

'Frozen' Soundtrack Still Tops Billboard 200, Holds Off 'Grammy Nominees' Album

"Frozen (2013)" soundtrack is still unmoved at the peak of Billboard 200. More than two months after it was first released on November 25, 2013, the album rules the U.S. album chart for fourth non-consecutive week with another 94,000 copies (up 1%) sold in the week ending February 2, benefiting from the release of the movie's sing-along version on January 31.

It marks the first theatrical film soundtrack to spend four weeks atop the chart in more than 10 years. The last album which achieved such feat was "Bad Boys II", which topped the chart for four consecutive weeks in August 2003.

Evangeline Lilly is circling a role in upcoming big-screen adaptation of Marvel's superhero "Ant-Man". Variety reports that the former "Lost" star is in negotiations to play the leading lady in the movie that already cast Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd on the lead roles.

A plane carrying Justin Bieber and his entourage were detained and searched in suspicion of carrying marijuana at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport on Friday, January 31, and details of the search now have emerged online. According to an official report obtained by NBC News, the 19-year-old pop star and his father Jeremy ignored pilot's request to stop smoking marijuana and they were abusive to the flight attendants.

"The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana," the report read. The pilots said that they had to wear oxygen masks to avoid inhaling the smoke and failing drug tests which could cost their license.

NBC Sets Date for 2015 Golden Globe Awards

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and NBC have announced the date for the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards. The show presented by the HFPA and Dick Clark Productions will be held January 11, 2015 and air live on NBC from 5-8 P.M. PT / 8-11 P.M. ET from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the ceremony for the third year in a row. The "Saturday Night Live" alumnae signed a two-year deal to return as the hosts of the 2014 and 2015 telecasts following their successful first Golden Globe hosting stint in 2013.

An autopsy performed on Philip Seymour Hoffman returned inconclusive. New York City medical examiners' office said on Wednesday, Feb 5 that more tests would be needed to determine the cause of the actor's death.

"Our examination has been concluded but the results are inconclusive," Julie Bolcer told The Times. "We are awaiting results and additional studies." There is no timetable on when the autopsy will be finished.

Rep: Selena Gomez Checked Into Rehab

Selena Gomez's representative revealed that the singer went to rehab last month but confirmed that it was not for substance abuse. She checked into Dawn of the Meadows facility in Arizona on January 5, around the time she canceled her tour dates in Asia and Australia.
