Brooke Shields is reported being courted as the new co-host of ABC's "The View". According to Showbiz 411, sources say that the wife of writer Chris Henchy fulfills all the qualifications needed. A French literature graduate from Princeton university, Shields is very articulate. Thus, she is believed to be able to discuss wide range of topics with other existing members, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

News of Shields' possible casting comes after Joy Behar announced she would leave the show by the end of the current season. An original cast member, Behar decided to leave the New York talk show on March 8 after serving as the co-host for 16 years. "You can't stay forever on a show," Behar said on ABC's "Good Morning America". "I am graciously exiting stage left. I've put in 16 years and felt the time was right. I want to explore other opportunities."

A video of Rihanna paying a visit to a lucky fan's dressing room has been posted online. The video shows Rihanna, who recently launched her clothing line River Island in London, surprising a fan by showing up outside her dressing room. Previously, Rihanna held an event in which the winner would have a chance to try products from River Island. To the winner's surprise, she also met the singer in person.

Before trying her favorite dress, the excited winner Maneira, said to the camera, "I won a competition to be here, and I like Rihanna." She said that she wanted to try some outfit from the collection. She picked a black dress and brought the dress to a changing stall.

After being hospitalized due to a seizure on Thursday, March 7, Kelly Osbourne reportedly had a possibility to be an epileptic. However, a representative for the host of "Fashion Police" claimed any rumors alleging she suffered an epileptic fit were premature.

"There is absolutely no confirmed diagnosis regarding Kelly's condition at this time," the representative told PEOPLE on Saturday, March 9. "She is under a doctor's care and they are continuing to run tests."

Mumford & Sons' members are preparing for a big gig in a newly-premiered music video for their latest single "Whispers in the Dark". The screen that is split into four small frames offers different stories of how each member reaches their destination.

As the track off their critically-acclaimed "Babel" album is played, the lead vocalist, Marcus Mumford, rides a 2012 Triumph Bonneville T-100. One of his bandmates hops a car and does a slow-motion running, while another opts to go by boat.

One Direction's member Louis Tomlinson showed his support to fellow celebrity Justin Bieber. On Saturday, March 9, Tomlinson tweeted, "Although I don't know him personally, I do wish the press would take it easy on @justinbieber." He added, "I really do empathize with him, I don't see anything out of character in comparison to any other teenagers I know."

Tomlinson sent his support to Bieber following endless negative publicity about the Canadian pop star, such as his late arrival to a London concert, the "worst" birthday party celebration in a London nightclub, and an incident which involved paparazzo after Bieber was discharged from hospital. It looked like the One Direction member felt that media was being too harsh on Bieber.

As he first teased back in October last year, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Rod Stewart confirmed the release of his new album, which he described as "just a good, old-fashioned Rod Stewart album (with) a lot of mandolin and acoustic (guitar) and fiddles and good storytelling, I believe, too." The forthcoming album is his first recording under Capitol Records after releasing his holiday album "Merry Christmas, Baby" last year on Verve.

Capitol previewed seven songs from the set for a group of journalists in New York City last Thursday, March 7. Entitled "Time", the new album is his first set of all-new material since 2001 and credits long-time collaborator Jim Cregan for inspiring it.

Lindsay Lohan is reported to have received an offer of 90 days under house arrest to end her probation violation case and keep her out of jail. Even though the Santa Monica City Attorney and the L.A. City Attorney have softened their position from lockdown rehab to house arrest deal, the 26-year-old actress still shows no interest as she allegedly claims that she was innocent.

Sources tell TMZ that there is a big chance the case will go to trial on March 18. If Lindsay does not want to change her mind by then and if she is convicted, she will actually receive much harder punishments, 19 months in jail plus 245 days for probation violation.

In 2012, Danny Boyle confirmed that he moved forward with a sequel to his 1996 hit film, "Trainspotting". Recently, Boyle revealed that he would film the adaptation of Irvine Welsh's "Porno" in 2016. Furthermore, he believed the entire original cast members would be returning for the sequel.

"This has been a long time coming. There's always been this long term plan for 'Trainspotting 2', if John (Hodge) can produce a decent enough script, I don't think there will be any barriers to Ewan (McGregor) or any of the cast coming back... I think they'll wanna know that the parts are good so they don't feel like they are letting anyone down," Boyle said of the project.

R 'n' B artist Frank Ocean is being sued by producer and songwriter Micah Otano over his Grammy Award-winning album "Channel Orange" track, "Lost". Ocean, along with record labels Def Jam and Universal and record producer Malay, is being sued by Otano for allegedly copying his song "Daylight" which Malay apparently took and re-named as "Lost" when it appeared in Ocean's LP.

In the lawsuit filed last week by Otano, the songwriter also claimed that despite co-writing the song with Malay, he did not get properly credited for his work on the "Channel Orange" album. He accused Malay of wrongly taking all the production credit for the song and is seeking an undisclosed amount in back royalties and damages for it.

The so-called "Evil Dead 4" project Sam Raimi previously talked about in an interview is confirmed by his Ghost House Pictures producing partner Robert G. Tapert. However, Tapert insists it is actually "Army of Darkness 2", not the "Evil Dead 4" like it was originally claimed.

"That would be 'Army of Darkness 2'," the producer clarifies the confusion in a Q&A section at the South by Southwest Film Festival. "Everybody calls it 'Evil Dead 4' but 'Army of Darkness' wasn't called 'Evil Dead' anywhere except by the fans."

Sarah Jessica Parker reveals her thoughts on "The Carrie Diaries", the prequel series to "Sex and the City". In an interview with Net-A-Porter's The Edit, she candidly says that she is unsure of how the series will turn out, especially the iconic character Carrie Bradshaw that AnnaSophia Robb plays. "You know, I think it's one of those tests of your generosity," she tells. "She [AnnaSophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it's . . . odd."

JT, as musical guest, performed his hit "Suit & Tie" with collaborator Jay-Z and his latest single "Mirrors", to cap off "SNL" highest rating show in the last 14 months. Reminiscent of their Grammy performance, JT and JZ rocked the "SNL" set, the pop/dance crooner with his vocals and choreography and the rapper with his rhymes.

British director Danny Boyle and American actress Rosario Dawson reportedly ended their romantic relationship recently. A source close to Boyle told U.K.'s Telegraph, "It's all over. It's very sad, but they always were an unlikely couple, in many ways." Boyle, however, has not said anything about the breaking up rumor.

Boyle cast Dawson, who is 23 years younger than him, as Elizabeth in his latest movie "Trance" in 2011. Rumor about Boyle and Dawson's relationship, however, only surfaced in August 2012. The director confessed in an interview on Saturday, March 9 that his love story with Dawson started after finishing "Trance" last year. However, Boyle refused to talk further about his relationship with the "Men in Black II" actress.

A new video that showed Chris Brown giving a bizarre speech at the Emerson Theatre, the same club where he was previously reported yelling "f**k Drake," has hit the web. This time around, he was caught on camera rambling to the other clubgoers on how to treat women.

Taylor Swift granted a fan's wish as she made a special visit to Omaha's Children's Hospital and Medical Center last Saturday, March 9. She specially came to see Lauren Hacker, a fifth-grader at St. Margaret Mary School who has cancer.

The "Speak Now" singer learned of Lauren's situation after her parents tried to reach out to Swift and a YouTube video titled "Come See Lauren Please, Taylor!" was specially made by a representative of non-profit organization Caring Bridge, Ellie Mulligan, to request the 23-year-old singer to visit the 10-year-old girl who has been struggling with acute myelogenous leukemia. The singer's representatives then contacted the family and eventually arranged the meeting. The visit was "something Taylor really wanted to do," a source tells Gossip Cop.

It's still a year away, but U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama has booked as early as now two of her most favorite singers for her 50th birthday bash at the White House. Grammy Award winners Adele and Beyonce Knowles have been asked to perform at Mrs. Obama's A-list private party next year on January 17, with the "Skyfall" singer reportedly already accepting the invitation.

"America's First Lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyonce, she has asked them both to sing," an unnamed source revealed. "Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the First Lady and her friends."

David Bowie's ex-wife opens up about his sexual exploits during their tumultuous relationship as the rocker launches a musical comeback with a new album "The Next Day". Mary Angela Barnett known as Angie Bowie says in a new interview with The Sun that they're almost late to their own wedding following a night of wild threesome.

"The night before our wedding it was a mutual friend of ours. We went out for dinner, back to her place and had plenty of lively sex," she recalls. "We had a very late night and didn't go to bed until 3 A.M. or 4 A.M. Then we woke up late in north London and had to be in Bromley by 10 A.M. to get married. A new teaser trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" has made its way out over the weekend, sharing more scenes from the highly-anticipated action, sci-fi film. After Benedict Cumberbatch's villainous character became the central figure in the previous teasers trailers, this time Chris Pine's Captain Kirk gets the spotlight.

He and Karl Urban's Bones are seen jumping off a cliff in an extended scene which sees them being chased by unknown characters, and is being lectured by Bruce Greenwood's Pike for not playing by the rules. In another scene, Pike tells Kirk, "I believe in you."

After revealing to public that she has been diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer, Valerie Harper is set to appear on "Today" to talk about the support she's received and how she deals with her condition. In a pre-taped interview, she says that she refuses to say goodbye and is open to miracles.

"Incurable is a tough word," she tells host Savannah Guthrie. "A lot of people were calling 'can I come by the house?', 'are you in a wheel chair?', because they hear it as this death sentence. Which it may be. But I'm not dying until I do. I promise I won't."

Heavy metal band band Motley Crue's Sunday concert in Allphones Arena in Sydney had to be cut short when their lead singer Vince Neil had to be abruptly taken to a hospital when he experienced pain from his kidney stones ailment while performing. The group had delivered a handful of their hits before bassist Nikki Sixx announced that they had to end their set early as their 52-year-old frontman could no longer continue since he had to get treatment in a nearby hospital.

The band's manager Allen Kovac revealed, "He has been having problems for the last few days with kidney stones." Neil had apparently been confined overnight for observation.

Elle MacPherson is reportedly engaged to real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer. Quietly reconciling in November after breaking up in March 2012, the former "Fashion Star" host and the Miami-based businessman are set to wed, a source tells Access Hollywood.

The source reveals that the Australian supermodel is planning to move from London to Florida with the 43-year-old hotel heir, who lives in Miami. This time, the couple will not let distance affect their relationship.

Holly Madison is aware that many people found the name, Rainbow Aurora, she gave to her newborn daughter odd and so they dissed it. "There are a lot of smug haters out there who bag on my choice of a name, but I don't care about what they think," the proud mother wrote in a recent blog post.

Pop superstar Justin Bieber was set to perform at the Pavilhao Atlantico in Lisbon, Portugal on March 11 and 12 but now fans will only get to see him play on one night only, specifically the first show. The site of the venue announced that the second show was just cancelled "due to unforeseen circumstances."

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second performance in Portugal, March 12," a statement posted on the site read. "The Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on March 11. Holders of tickets valid for March 12 should contact the respective place of purchase to receive a refund within 30 days of the date of the scheduled concert, which ends April 11."

"Oz: The Great and Powerful" makes a strong debut on the North American box office this weekend. The Disney fantasy adventure movie starring James Franco and Mila Kunis becomes one of the only two newcomers which break into the top 10, bowing at No. 1 with the biggest opening of the year so far.

The Sam Raimi-directed film easily nabs the first spot with a whopping $79.1 million, marking the highest debut since "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" soared to the top spot with $85.8 million last December. Meanwhile, the other debut "Dead Man Down" settles at No. 4 with only $5.3 million.

Justin Timberlake boosted "Saturday Night Live" ratings to its best in 14 months. The March 9 edition of the show averaged a 3.7 rating among adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters. It's up 32% from last week's episode hosted by Kevin Hart and the highest for the variety series since January 7, 2012, when Charles Barkley served as the host.

In metered-market households, the episode which marked Timberlake's fifth hosting stint on "SNL" delivered a 5.9 rating, topping any telecast on broadcast networks that night. It's the same haul not achieved by the show since the Barkley-hosted edition.

Rihanna was forced to back out of her concert in Boston because she was suffering from laryngitis. The gig was supposed to take place at TD Garden Sunday, March 10 as a second show of her "Diamonds" world tour after a rocking night at First Niagara Center in Buffalo on Friday.

"Unfortunately, following her sold-out concert on Friday," concert promoter giant Live Nation announced the cancellation in a statement, "Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening."
