Katy Perry Offered a Role in Paul Potts Biopic

Katy Perry could make her feature movie debut in a biopic developed by Weinstein, the same studio that produced recent Oscar winner "The Artist". The singer was approached by Harvey Weinstein at his Oscars pre-party at SoHo House to take part in a movie about British opera singer Paul Potts.

Weinstein was said telling Perry to take the role of Potts's wife, Julie-Ann, whom the tenor met via online dating. Potts claimed his fame after winning the first series of "Britain's Got Talent" in 2007. He was a manager at mobile phone store who said he was often bullied as a child.

Nick Cannon Revealed: It's Lupus-Type Autoimmune

Nick Cannon opens up more about his recent health scare which got him hospitalized for almost a week. The husband of Mariah Carey revealed that his kidney, blood clots and heart troubles are caused by a condition called "lupus-type" autoimmune that doctors found in his system.

"They kind of say [my] autoimmune [disease] is - like a lupus type of thing, but no one else in my family has it," he told People. The 31-year-old was particularly scared of his second hospitalization. "The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because...I've known people who have passed away from that. I thought I was getting better and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere," he continued.

Mila Kunis has been added to the voice cast of a one-stop movie called "Hell & Back". The "Black Swan" actress is tapped to voice a demon named Deema in the adult animated film, which has been granted an R rating.

ShadowMachine announced Kunis' casting for the film, which marks the studio's first R-rated animated feature, on Thursday, March 1. "We're thrilled to have Mila involved. Her unique blend of comedy and charm fits perfectly with what is sure to be one of the most memorable animated female characters in a long time," said ShadowMachine's Corey Campodonico.

Bomb scare at Rush Limbaugh's South Florida home turns out to be a false alarm. On late Thursday, March 1 afternoon, the Palm Beach County Sherriff's Office bomb squad was called to the North Ocean Boulevard house after the conservative radio talk show host's security team received a suspicious package.

Palm Beach police spokesperson Fred Hess said that Limbaugh's staff made the call after they x-rayed the 18-by-18-inch package and found wires inside. "When they saw what appeared to be on the x-ray as wires, they decided to not continue to open it," he shared before noting, "In Palm Beach, people tend to be very cautious, especially an internationally known person."

Autopsy Confirms Davy Jones Died of Severe Heart Attack

Martin County Medical Examiners Office said that an autopsy was performed on the former lead singer of The Monkees by Chief Medical Examiner Roger E. Mittleman at 10:30 A.M. Preliminary results of the autopsy uncovered that Jones suffered ventricular fibrillation due to severe coronary atherosclerosis. That means the 66-year-old had an abnormal heart rhythm which is caused by a blocking of blood to the heart because of a hardening of the arteries. Zac Efron finally came clean about having a condom in his pocket while attending the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie "The Lorax". The 24-year-old actor told Matt Lauer on "The Today Show" that it was actually "a great message" for the youth out there when he accidentally dropped a shiny packet on the red carpet.

Lauer teased Efron, "There's something else that brought the attention to this movie recently at the premiere." Although he initially said he didn't want to discuss it further, Efron said with a smile, "I never really had a pocket-checking policy prior to going on the red carpet before, but now we fully instated one."

Ken Watanabe Takes Hiatus From Hollywood to Help Japan

"Inception" star Ken Watanabe said that he is taking a break from Hollywood to help his country. In a statement to THR, the actor announced that he is coming back to Japan this year to focus on the recovery of the Asian country from the tsunami that devastated the northeast coast region in 2011.

"I was in LA a week ago and I told my agent that I have to be in Japan this year, maybe next year I'll think again about projects in Hollywood," said Watanabe. He was filming an hour-long documentary on the disaster recovery in the port of Kesennuma. The not-yet-titled project is to air at the end of March on Japanese public broadcaster NHK to mark the one-year anniversary of the disaster.
