A performance from Bruno Mars would be one of the highlights at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The network has just announced that the "Grenade" crooner would be back on their stage as performer at the August 28 event. He previously joined B.o.B and Hayley Williams at the 2010 bash.

"We're thrilled to have Bruno Mars bring his exceptional talent to the VMA stage," said Amy Doyle, Executive Producer of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and EVP, Music & Talent, MTV. "He is one of the most exciting live performers today and with his artistic versatility, he will undoubtedly deliver a standout performance."

Elena, Damon and Alaric are found in the first official picture of "The Vampire Diaries" season 3. Taken from the season premiere, the scene takes place outside with the three of them seriously discussing something during Elena's birthday party.

In "The Birthday", Elena turns 18 and her friend Caroline insists on throwing her a party at the Salvatores' mansion. "There will be a small time jump [from where last season ended] as we celebrate Elena's birthday," executive producer Julie Plec told TV Guide. "But as is the pattern in Mystic Falls, the event never reaches its climax."

Robert Pattinson appears on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's newest issue sans his shirt. In the issue which hits newsstands on Friday, August 12, Pattinson poses as his "Twilight" character, Edward Cullen, along with on-screen lover Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan.

Inside the edition, Stewart talked about shooting the wedding scene for "Breaking Dawn". She said, "It's a trip to watch the wedding scenes especially. It was so volatile and emotional - I was being such a crazy person."

Kiowa Gordon, the "Twilight" actor who got arrested in Tempe, Arizona for DUI on Monday, August 8, is now outside the wall. The 21-year-old posted $1,000 bail and was released from Maricopa County jail on Wednesday.

Hollywood Life previously said that the actor is due to appear at Mesa court on Thursday, August 18 at 8.30 A.M. He was also arrested on Monday for failing to appear in other Phoenix area courts for previous drug possession and liquor arrests.

Nicholas D'Agosto and Emma Bell brought their charm to the Los Angeles premiere of "Final Destination 5". Hitting the black carpet rolled outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday, August 10, Nicholas showed off his masculine look in tieless shirt and black suit, while his beautiful co-star stole attention in a leg-baring colorful mini dress.

Nicholas and Emma were joined by other cast members, such as Arlen Escarpeta and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. Arlen showed off an eye-catching style with colorful shirt and bowtie, while Jacqueline looked sexy in her mini dress. There were also Ellen Wroe and Courtney B. Vance in attendance.

George Lopez has given a response to TBS' decision not to renew his talk show. Opening one of the last two episodes of "Lopez Tonight" on Wednesday, August 10, the funnyman broke the news to those who had not heard about the cancellation, before joking about unemployment rates and how Latinos are affected by it.

Eighteen characters from much-awaited drama "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" have been previewed in photos which are released along with their short biographies. Among those getting the highlights are Daniel Craig's Mikael Blomkvist who appears in sleazy appearance with dirty looking face, and Rooney Mara's Lisbeth Salander with punk-rock style ensemble and many piercings on her face.

"Mad Men" will not return until 2012, but AMC has unleashed a promo for a fifth season of the Emmy Award-winning series. There is no new footage in the video since the long-delayed production has just been kicked off this Monday, August 8, but the compiled scenes point out that the show will not stray from the things that Don Draper has been dealing with all this time, which are money and business.

The Draper depicter, Jon Hamm, serves as director for the first episode of the new season which will bow in March next year. He was recently pictured giving a direction to co-star Elisabeth Moss during the rehearsal shot in Joan Harris' office. Sharing about his experience working behind the lens, he gushed, "Directing is fun!"

Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane have released a joint album in the same week fellow rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z dropped theirs. Despite the coincidence, Gucci and Waka refused to be compared to the "Watch the Throne" duo.

Waka gave his own analogy to explain why he and Gucci should not be compared to the mega rap duo. "Trying to compare us to Jay-Z [and Kanye] is like comparing Dirk Nowitzki to Larry Bird - that's disrespectful," he told MTV. "That's like two different classes."

Warner Bros. Pictures are done with "Harry Potter" film franchise, but are yet to let go some masterminds behind it. According to HitFix, the studio are finalizing the deals for David Yates and Steve Kloves, who have collaborated on the last three "Harry Potter" movies, to work together again for "The Stand".

Yates, who directed the final four "Harry Potter" film installments, is reportedly projected to step behind the camera. As for Kloves who penned all "Harry Potter" movies except "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", he will likely provide the script.

Having already won Grammys, toured around the globe and sold million copies of their albums, Evanescence are now eying to get hired by Summit Entertainment to write a song for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I". In fact, they already have one perfect song for the movie.

"I've been screaming for [new song] 'My Heart Is Broken' to land in that, because I think it would fit the story so well. I got sucked into the 'Twilight' vortex by the girls at home, so by default, I've got to watch it," drummer Will Hunt said during an interview with MTV recently. On the day Emma Stone-starring movie "The Help" arrives in the United States on August 10, one of its soundtracks called "The Living Proof" got an accompanying music video. It features Mary J. Blige belting out its emotional lyrics. All the while, random scenes from the drama are flashed on the screen.

Talking about singing the ballad for the movie's theme song, Blige once said, "I wanted to be involved with this film, because I think we need to encourage each other more, we are here to tell a story." She added, "The beautiful thing about these women is that they were very smart. To speak to so many women with this song means a lot to me."

A man may threaten the existence of vampires in the new season of "The Vampire Diaries". Entertainment Weekly reports that Sebastian Roche has been cast as a recurring guest star to take the role of "a very mysterious man who appears to be hunting vampires, most specifically Klaus."

The character was originally to be named Eric, but will be changed to avoid accidental "True Blood" comparisons since the CW show will also introduce a new character named Bill in season 3. Both Bill, who will be played by former "Heroes" star Jack Coleman, and Roche's character are expected to appear during the third season's first chapter.

Kanye West and Jay-Z hype up the upcoming premiere of their "Otis" music video by dropping an official trailer. The mega rap duo are seen having a good time and sharing laughs in studio and rooftop. They craft music in studio, chill out in front of Star-Spangled Banner and set off fireworks when the night comes.

There are two versions of the trailer. One which came out via VEVO sees longer footage of Kanye and Jigga when they are in studio and has extra scenes featuring a flock of birds on the sky. The other, courtesy of MTV, is the one which gives an additional look at the rappers hanging out on the rooftop.

Harold and Kumar are back in a first trailer of an upcoming holiday movie, "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas". Coming out via Yahoo! Movies, the video opens with a humorous scene where John Cho's Harold Lee shoots down Santa's flying reindeer sleigh. "I shot Santa Claus in the face," he says in shock.

The video also features Neil Patrick Harris who plays himself in the film. In one of the scenes, he is seen holding a giant candy cane and wears an eye-catching red velvet suit among sexy dancers, while Harold and Kumar are dressing as red-cheeked tin soldiers.

A Thursday (August 11) episode will be the last for "Lopez Tonight". TBS has announced its decision to cancel the George Lopez-hosted late night show on Wednesday, August 10. "TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight," so the network said in a statement.

"We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer," it was added. "TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air."

Chris Brown has mapped out a bunch of dates for his 2011 fall tour. He will kick it off on September 12 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto before moving to a number of stadiums across the United States and eventually bringing his entourage for a last stop at XL Center in Hartford.

"This tour will allow me to paint a picture musically," he said of the traveling show to promote his latest studio album "F.A.M.E.". "I want to bring a lot of energy and excitement to all the fans. It's going to be a great show." He has tapped Kelly Rowland, T-Pain and Tyga as his special guests during the tour.

Viola Davis will soon become an adoptive parent. The actress who received an Academy Award nomination and won various awards for her portrayal of Mrs. Miller in "Doubt" recently revealed that she and her actor husband, Julius Tennon, are in the process of adopting a baby.

The 46-year-old broke the news to E! News when hitting the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of "The Help" last Tuesday, August 9. "We're about to adopt a baby," she confirmed before adding that they would be adopting "domestically". Despite the announcement, she didn't disclose any further details.

"Glee" kids have been back in school for the production of season 3. On Wednesday, August 10, Lea Michele tweeted a picture of herself as Rachel Berry on the set, wearing a blue and pink plaid mini-dress paired with knee-high socks. "#berryisback," she wrote on the photo's caption.

Teasing about a scene she was filming with Chris Colfer, she added, "awesome scene in Emma's office." Later in the afternoon, she updated her status with a message that read, "Finished filming for the day! Now back in the recording studio. Singing some BROADWAY! You know I'm happy."

Production for Zack Snyder-directed "Man of Steel" has been set in motion. An on-set footage recently hit the web, giving a sneak peek at a tornado scene which was recently filmed at the Sugar Grove area near Plano, Illinois.

Some huge fans were seen being set on the side of the road supposedly to give a tornado effect. According to narration provided by the person who secretly took the video from behind the bushes, Kevin Costner who plays Jonathan Kent is involved in the filming. Instead of running away, he is seen walking in the direction of the storm.

White House has responded to claims from Peter King, a Republican congressman who sent a letter to CIA and the Department of Defense on Tuesday, August 8. In the letter, he asked for an investigation into whether the Obama administration has leaked confidential information to director Kathryn Bigelow and Sony Pictures about the hunt for Osama bin Laden which could be used for their upcoming movie.

"The claims are ridiculous," Jay Carney, a spokesman from White House said in a statement. "We do not discuss classified information. And I would hope that as we face the continued threat from terrorism, the House Committee on Homeland Security would have more important topics to discuss than a movie."

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are not calling off their divorce. The estranged couple sparked report of a possible reconciliation after TMZ brought out a photo of the two sharing the backseat of a red Mustang convertible in Long Island. Representative for both stars, however, was quick to deny.

Reacting to the photo taken near Sagg Main Beach in Southampton, New York on Wednesday, August 10, Marc's rep told the gossip site the Latin crooner was on the East Coast visiting his children. Jennifer Love Hewitt has officially found a new starring vehicle for her next major TV gig after "Ghost Whisperer" was canceled last year. Lifetime picks up "The Client List", a new hourlong series starring and executive produced by the 32-year-old beauty.

The show is based on the network's 2010 original movie of the same title which also has Hewitt as lead star and executive producer. It features the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actress as a financially-strapped Texas housewife who runs a lively day spa after she is abandoned by her husband.

Taylor Swift has premiered a music video filmed to support her latest single "Sparks Fly". The country music cutie gives her devotees a "Speak Now" tour experience in the clip by compiling footage from her ongoing traveling show across the United States.

The thrills are shared in a number of elaborate sets involving floating balconies, glittery costume changes and acrobatic routines by aerialists. Still, all eyes are on Swift who is strutting her stuff, wiping her blonde hair and twirling around the stage in high spirit.

It doesn't take long for Mark-Paul Gosselaar to be in a committed relationship again. Less than three months after finalizing his divorce from wife of 15 years Lisa Ann Russell, the Zack Morris of "Saved by the Bell" got engaged to his advertising executive girlfriend, Catriona McGinn.

Confirming the news was a representative for Gosselaar, who told E! News that the 36-year-old actor got down to one knee sometime last week. He proposed with a 5-carat diamond ring designed by jeweler Neil Lane. Of the sparkler, Lane said, "Mark wanted to give Catriona her dream ring. He was great to work with and she was thrilled with her ring."

Good news comes in three. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed on Wednesday, August 10 that Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson will all return to the new season of "American Idol" as judges.

"I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol [Seacrest] is back for the next season," Lythgoe said during a call to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. In addition, he also informed that the judges would hit the road soon for 11 auditions in such cities as San Diego, Denver, Portland, Charleston and Pittsburgh among others.

Bullying is nothing new to Rebecca Black but it reaches to a point where she has to move to a new environment. The "Friday" singer has been removed from her school by her mother due to constant harassment from her classmates last spring after her instant YouTube fame.

Black's song was the subject of criticism ever since it was released on YouTube. Saying that she was "cyberbullied", Black also received the same treatment during her 7th grade year. "When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice. Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?' " she just described to ABC News.

Joe Jonas' idea of a dance music is poured into his new single "Love Slayer" which first listen has just been released. This would be the third single released for his debut album after "See No More" and "Just in Love With You".

Joe is also challenging musicians to remix the new song for a chance to win $2,500. The top three entries would be selected by Joe himself and featured on Cambio in addition to the cash.
