At the 36th Toronto International Film Festival later in September, George Clooney will get a spotlight as two of his movies would be screened there. "The Ides of March", a political thriller which Clooney directed, and "The Descendants", a family drama directed by Alexander Payne.

"Ides of March" will first open the Venice International Film Festival in August before screened at Toronton's Roy Thomson Hall. The movie will then open in theaters on October 7. Also on the list of TIFF's screening are Brad Pitt -starer "Moneyball" and Jane Fonda -starer "Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding".

Fox announced on Tuesday, July 26 that this year's Teen Choice Awards would be hosted by Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory". The 13th annual ceremony will also invite OneRepublic, Selena Gomez & The Scene, and Jason Derulo to the stage as performers. Meanwhile, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas would do a DJ set.

At the same time, the network also said that there's a new category added to the already extensive categories. The 348th nomination is for Choice Vampire. Nominated under this are Nina Dobrev ("The Vampire Diaries"), Robert Pattinson ("Twilight"), Nikki Reed ("Twilight"), Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood"), Ian Somerhalder ("Vampire Diaries") and Paul Wesley ("Vampire Diaries").

A funeral for Amy Winehouse has been held on Tuesday, July 26 at Edgwarebury Cemetery in north London. The affair was made small and private with only family and close friends who are invited allowed to attend.

Seen arriving at the venue was Mark Ronson, Amy's long-time collaborator, as well as Amy's best friend Kelly Osbourne. The singer, who could not hide away her tears when arriving at London's airport the day before, wore her hair in a beehive style in tribute of Amy.

There's a word out there that Carey Mulligan is engaged to her boyfriend of five months, Marcus Mumford. Carey, who previously dated Shia LaBeouf, started going out with the Mumford & Sons singer only this February but Marcus was ready to pop the question this recent weekend.

Carey and Marcus stayed at a 250BPS-a-night hotel at Babington House in Somerset. He then showed her a new diamonds ring and asked her hand in marriage. Carey apparently said yes. "Carey looked like the cat who had got the cream. She was wearing a beautiful ring and didn't seem to mind who saw it," an onlooker told The Sun.

The relationship between "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester and her mother keeps getting ugly. In her latest claim, Constance Meester said that her daughter beat her with a bottle during an alleged argument that occurred back in December 2010.

Constance is launching a countersuit against Leighton who filed hers last week. In the papers, Constance recalled that Leighton threw her to the ground, "repeatedly hitting her with a bottle" during the incident. Leighton's younger brother reportedly had to pull her off their mother.

Neil Burger will bring a new version of "Bonnie and Clyde" story to the big screen. The "Limitless" director is in talks to helm "Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde", which will see him joining forces with "Up in the Air" scribe Sheldon Turner.

Aside from this film project, Burger, the man behind "The Illusionist", has also been tapped to direct video game adaptation "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune". Turner, meanwhile, is set to make his directorial debut in an upcoming thriller "By Virtue Fall". He will write the script for "Bonnie and Clyde" before that.

The first footage from "Castle" season 4, which was recently screened at San Diego Comic-Con, has landed online. The emotional scene features bleeding Beckett being wheeled into a hospital, while Lanie won't let her hands off her friend's wounded chest.

Tamala Jones, who plays Lanie, has shared about the making of the scene. "I'm very overwhelmed by looking at that scene," she said during the show's panel at the annual convention on Sunday, July 24.

Haley Reinhart, who finished third on "American Idol" season 10, is rumored to have scored a deal with Interscope Records. An official announcement regarding her addition to the giant label is going to be made soon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If the rumor is true, the 20-year-old singer will share the same label with fellow "Idol" alum Pia Toscano. The former wedding singer who finished at the ninth place on the singing competition has already released her debut single called "This Time" and is currently preparing her album.

Jake Gyllenhaal has shown support to his film director father's second wedding. The Prince Dastan of "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" took a break from his busy schedule to witness Stephen Gyllenhaal tying the knot with Kathleen Man on the North Shore of Oahu over the weekend.

Serving as a groomsman, the 30-year-old actor donned loose-fitted khaki trousers and brown shirts. He also sported a shaved head and wore lei around his neck for the informal ceremony attended by about 30 guests. Also present for the fete was the "Source Code" actor's sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who wore a long floral dress.

A first look at Olivia Thirlby in "Dredd" has been unleashed in a photo that will appear in "Heroes of 2012" issue of Empire magazine. A scan of the image hits the web, presenting the "Juno" actress as Judge Cassandra Anderson. She's sporting blond hair and wearing a full costume, looking fierce holding a machine gun.

Along with Thirlby's first look, the magazine also published other images that include a clear look at a villainous character, clan leader Madeline Madrigal a.k.a Ma-Ma, played by Lena Headey. Also featured in the images are Karl Urban's Judge Dredd and Langley Kirkwood's Judge Lex.

Another celebrity couple have called off their engagement. A day after Kristin Cavallari broke up with Jay Cutler, news came out that Jesse James has parted ways with tattoo artist fiancee Kat Von D. On the reason why, the ex-husband of Sandra Bullock put the blame on distance.

Bjork has just released an official music video in support of her new single "Crystalline". Directed by Michel Gondry, the clip is filled with laser beams and opens with a shower of meteorites hitting the ground and making sound.

"We shot it frame by frame, and we shot it by recranking the camera and re-exposing the film many times," director Michel Gondry told Billboard. "The idea that a beam of light can have the impact to make these things move is something that intrigued me."

"House M.D." has recruited an actress to be a new doctor for its eighth season. It has been confirmed that Odette Yustman is added to the cast ensemble as a series regular starting this fall. While details of her role are still kept under wraps, it is said that her character will meet Hugh Laurie's House behind the bars and become a member of his team of diagnosticians.

This marks the first regular addition to the cast ensemble since Olivia Wilde, Peter Jacobson and Kal Penn were promoted in season 4. The FOX hit medical drama show is additionally looking for an actress to fill the role of Dean of Medicine, which was recently left vacant by Lisa Edelstein.

The music video was directed by Bryan Barber and shot in East Los Angeles. "The video is kinda walking back through the days when I didn't have anything, taking my son with me and showing him how we used to live," Game told Rap-Up TV about the video.

Emma Stone might land a role in "Gangster Squad". The actress, who plays opposite Ryan Gosling in soon-to-be-released romcom "Crazy, Stupid, Love.", reportedly got along so well with him that he offered her to reunite with him in the crime movie.

"From your lips to God's ears! But I don't think anything is official yet," director Ruben Fleischer said of the rumor when being asked by Celebuzz at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. When talking about the progress of the movie, he said, "We are in pre-production."

After being dumped by two men, Ashley Herbert was thrown for a loop yet again on "The Bachelorette". In an episode aired Monday, July 25 episode, she learned that one of the final three bachelors was not that into her, while previously dumped contestant Ryan was still expecting her love.

In this "overnight dates" episode set in Fiji, Ashley and Constantine took off a helicopter and headed to Bouma Fall where they had fun swimming in the water. But during their dinner, Constantine made a shocking revelation that he is "not feeling it" with her, so he denied the Fantasy Suite even before it was offered. "It wasn't going to the next level," he explained, before leaving the show for good.

A tribute concert to remember Michael Jackson has been announced by the late King of Pop's mother Katherine and siblings La Toya Jackson, Tito Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Jackie Jackson. However, the plan was slammed by other members of the Jackson clan just hours after the announcement.

Coming forward to speak up their protest were Jermaine Jackson and Randy Jackson. "Today's press conference in Los Angeles announced a tribute concert to Michael to be attended and supported by the Jackson family. However, we want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family," they said in a joint statement.

Alexander Skarsgard has a special message for parents everywhere. Taking a pledge against bullying, the actor known for his role as Eric Northman on hit HBO series "True Blood" lends his famous face for a new "It Gets Better" PSA and urges parents to lead by example.

"We have to teach our children that - not only through our words but through our actions - that every single human being has equal value," the 34-year-old stresses. "And to bully someone or force society to discriminate against someone because they have a different sexual orientation is unacceptable."

James Franco is set to be back on "General Hospital" again. The "Your Highness" actor will reprise his role as performance artist and serial killer Robert "Franco" Frank starting September 20, and this time it will not be a short one since his story arc is described as "longterm".

James' character, who has a crush on hit man Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), returns to the show right when Jason is set to tie the knot with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Ian Somerhalder was very protective of Nina Dobrev at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Us Weekly reported. While the leading stars of "The Vampire Diaries" have yet to confirm their rumored romance, they were allegedly "inseparable" when attending the Maxim, FX and Fox Entertainment Party.

Some companies have cashed in on Amy Winehouse's death. Online music stores iTunes and Amazon, for instance, have made what supposed to be a tribute page for the late singer soon after her passing, only to have it redirected to the download links to her songs which might contribute to increase the number of her music sales.

Another company outside music industry which had also profited from Amy's death was Microsoft. The corporation, however, came under fire after posting an "insensitive" tweet read, "Remember Amy Winehouse by downloading the ground-breaking 'Back to Black' over at Zune." Following the critique, the message was deleted and an apology was issued.

First trailer from J.C. Chandor-directed financial drama film "Margin Call" has been dropped via Yahoo! Movies. Set in early stages of the 2008 financial crisis, the video captures some seriously intriguing scenes that revolve around a 24-hour period at a large investment company in the world's most famous financial district, the Wall Street. It highlights the actions taken by a group of employees during the terrifying financial collapse.

The movie was first premiered at the 2011 Sundace Film Festival, and also played during the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear. It has many notable stars in the cast ensemble, including Kevin Spacey, Penn Badgley, Simon Baker, Zachary Quinto, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons and Stanley Tucci.

Gwyneth Paltrow has found herself getting tied in with an incident in Italy. Director Steven Spielberg got into a trouble with Italian coastguards recently after his speedboat came too close to the coast, and the Pepper Potts of the "Iron Man" film series allegedly was on board when the incident happened.

Daily Mail reported that Steven angered sunbathers at a beach in Sardinia when his 280ft-long super-yacht, Seven Seas, breached maritime regulations. They were quick to call police and coastguards, who slapped the director of "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" with a 172 Euro fine.

Empire Magazine has got its hand on some stills from "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance". Hitting the web in scanned version, one of them highlights Nicolas Cage's Johnny Blaze looking gritty in his dark ensemble.

Arnold Schwarzenegger won't deny Maria Shriver spousal support after all. The former California governor has, on Monday, July 25, submitted revised divorce documents that remove his original request to terminate the court's jurisdiction to award his estranged wife financial support.

Days earlier on July 20, Arnold filed his response to Maria's divorce petition. In the papers, he asks a judge to deny her from any right to get spousal support and refuses to pay her attorney fees. According to TMZ, the 63-year-old signed the legal response without reading it first and didn't know that his lawyer moved to block both of his estranged wife's requests.

Universal Pictures has acquired a pitch for upcoming movie "The Nutcracker". The studio has Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes") to produce the new take on the classic tale.

The upcoming film will revolve around a 12-year old girl who receives a Nutcracker toy as her Christmas gift. Her adventure begins when the toy comes alive and a war erupts between him and Mouse King. Together, they now have to defeat the seven-headed king and his army of mice.

Lady GaGa is featured in a new promo for "So You Think You Can Dance". Billed to guest judge during the top 8 week, she appears through scenes cut from her "The Edge of Glory" music video, which are intercepted with footage from previous performance of the remaining contestants.

Beside GaGa, this week's episodes will also see "Nine" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: on Stranger Tides" director Rob Marshall sitting on the judge panel. The Mother Monster and the filmmaker will join regular judges to review the routines performed by Marko, Jordan, Jess, Sasha, Ricky, Tadd, Melanie and Caitlynn.

Amy Winehouse will be laid to rest three days after she was found dead inside her home last Saturday, July 23. A family spokesman told reporters that the funeral service for the "Rehab" singer will be held on Tuesday, July 26. It will be a private affair for family and close friends only.

Per Jewish tradition, Amy should have been buried within 24 hours of her passing. Her funeral, however, has to be pushed back to Tuesday because the autopsy wasn't conducted until Monday. The rep didn't share details about the funeral's location or time, but Daily Mail reported that a service will be held at a North London cemetery before Amy is cremated in Golders Green.

Josh Duhamel's "All My Children" character has been long presumed dead, but he is seen very much alive in first look at his return to the daytime soap. Reprising his role as Leo du Pres, he is snapped reuniting with Rebecca Budig, who portrays Greenlee, in some of the pictures. In another photo, meanwhile, he sports a suit.

"Everyone at 'All My Children' is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley," executive producer Julie Carruthers previously said of Duhamel's cameo. He added about the 38-year-old actor's conman character, "The appearance of Leo is sure to be one of the highlights of the season."

Lea Michele has a new song titled "When the World Turns Upside Down", and it's released at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Recorded for "Dorothy of OZ" soundtrack, it has been made available for listening pleasure via audio stream which hit the web recently.

Almost at the same time, a first look at Dorothy Gale, the titular character the Rachel Berry of "Glee" is voicing in the movie, was revealed via MTV's Hollywood Crush. The image shows a little girl in what seems to be a farm. She looks adorable wearing two braided pigtails.

There won't be a wedding for Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler. Speculations over what may have caused the couple to call off their engagement have surfaced soon after news of the break-up made media headlines. One of them suggested that Jay was too controlling in his relationship with Kristin.

"Jay Cutler was beyond controlling and didn't really like Kristin to go out," a friend of Kristin spilled as quoted by PEOPLE. "When she did go out, he called all the time and demanded to know exactly where she was going and who she was with. He made her choose between him and being friends with a lot of her girlfriends. The highly-awaited autopsy result of Amy Winehouse came as "inconclusive". Released on Monday, July 25, the report said that there should be additional lab work done before the officials can determine exactly what killed the jazz singer on Saturday.

"It did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further toxicology tests," a police statement reads. The autopsy was conducted at St. Pancras Coroner's Court on Monday afternoon. The new result will not be available in at least another two to four weeks.

Lauryn Hill has given birth to her sixth child on Saturday, July 23 evening. According to some reports, it was not an easy delivery but the mother and the baby boy turned out to be okay.

"Mother and baby are fine," a source told BlackCelebKids.com. The singer and her family "had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy."

Fresh from debuting their joint single "Otis", Jay-Z and Kanye West announce that they will embark on a tour together this fall. The first stop of the tour that supports the collaborative album "Watch the Throne" takes place in Detroit, MI on September 22.

"Watch the Throne Tour" is kicked off following the release of the first album by the duo who call themselves The Throne. The album would be available on iTunes August 8 and the physical version would hit the stores four days later.
