The three-day event will take place in Indio, California from 15 to 17 April and feature The Strokes, The National, Tinie Tempah, Brandon Flowers, Interpol, Klaxons, Erykah Badu and Mumford & Sons with blasts from the past Suede, Duran Duran, Wire and Big Audio Dynamite.

Reclusive R&B superstar Lauryn Hill is also billed to perform, as are cult acts Elbow, Marina & The Diamonds, Bright Eyes and The Black Keys. Enhancing the festival experience for music fans at California's biggest music event, organisers are adding a roller skating rink and a free shuttle service to a local grocery store.

Rockers Motley Crue have been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit after the iconic snap from the band's "Too Fast for Love" album cover was used on merchandise. The band and bosses at tour giant Live Nation are being sued by Ron Toma, who claims he owns the rights to the photograph, which was taken by Michael Pinter in 1981 and shows a close-up of a man wearing a belt and leather trousers.

The image features on sweatshirts sold on the band's website, and Toma has filed papers in Illinois Northern District Court accusing the two parties of using the image without permission, according to TMZ.com. He is asking a judge to block the use of the snap on any merchandise without prior authorization.

Julianne Moore is to be honored by Harvard University students as 2011's Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year. The Oscar-nominated actress has accepted an invitation to be part of the drama club's wacky annual festivities on January 27.

The "Far From Heaven" star will be paraded around campus before taking part in a revue. The Hasty Pudding is awarded to entertainers who make a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment."

Russell Brand and U.K. broadcaster Jonathan Ross are set to reunite on TV for the first time since the pair's controversial calls to actor Andrew Sachs almost cost them their careers. The British comic quit his BBC radio show in 2008 after he and Ross faced a public backlash for leaving offensive messages on TV star Sachs' answer machine during a live broadcast. In the program, the pair discussed Brand's fling with the 80-year-old's granddaughter Georgina Baillie.

Ross was suspended from his job at the BBC for 12 weeks without pay and was forced to step down from hosting The British Comedy Awards in 2008 for the first time since he began fronting the show in 1991. The pair is now chancing a risky reunion when Ross hosts the prizegiving again later this month - Brand has been confirmed as one of the award presenters on the televised show.

Editors at a British newspaper have won a longrunning legal battle over the huge fees supermodel Naomi Campbell's lawyers charged after winning a privacy case in 2004. In 2002, the British beauty took bosses at tabloid the Daily Mirror to court claiming her privacy had been breached by the publication of a snap of her leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in London.

A judge ordered the newspaper's publishers to pay Campbell $5,250 and cover her legal costs, which, due to 'success fees' in the U.K., had a huge mark-up and amounted to a staggering $1.5 million. The Daily Mirror editors took an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, where judges declared the fees charged by Campbell's lawyers at London legal firm Schillings were extortionate.

Howard Stern refuses to feel guilty for airing David Arquette's now notorious chat about his sex life with estranged wife Courteney Cox despite admitting the comments "backfired" on the actor. The couple announced plans for a "trial separation" in October 2010 after 11 years of marriage and the "Scream" actor subsequently called Stern's Sirius Satellite Radio show to discuss the break-up.

Rocker Vince Neil has been sentenced to serve two weeks behind bars for driving under the influence of alcohol. According to reports, the Motley Crue frontman will plead guilty to a DUI charge on January 26 and surrender to Las Vegas officials on February 15.

He will serve 15 days in the Clark County Detention Center, followed by another 15 days of house arrest. A statement from the rock star reads, "I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all. I take full responsibility for my actions and will learn from this experience."

"Crank" star Amy Smart has found new love with TV handyman Carter Oosterhouse. The actress, 34, and her beau were spotted "stealing kisses" at an Art of Elysium event in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 15.

When Joe Jonas said in a previous interview that he's making dance track for his solo album, the 21-year-old singer actually refers to Daft Punk kind of music. The middle of Jonas Brothers spilled the beans when having a chat with MTV and producer Danja.

"I think for me the biggest influences are Daft Punk," Joe said. He additionally stated that he and Danja are fans of "Tron Legacy", "I think, for both of us, we are huge fans of the new 'Tron' movie." He decided to make it one of the references for the album after watching it at its premiere.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's father-in-law Sargent Shriver has died at the age of 95. Shriver, who founded the U.S. Peace Corps in the early 1960s before becoming a leading American philanthropist and beloved politician, was father to Schwarzenegger's wife Maria Shriver.

He was also a one-time U.S. vice-presidential candidate. Shriver announced he was battling Alzheimer's disease in 2003.

Laura Linney will return to the stage on Tuesday, January 18 night for the first time since the death of her father. The actress dropped out of Broadway's "Time Stands Still" over the weekend following the passing of her playwright father Romulus Linney on Saturday, January 15.

She also missed the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, where she was honored with a Best Actress prize for her role in TV drama "The Big C". The lights of Broadway's theaters will be dimmed for a minute on Wednesday to mark Linney's death.

A man dressing in full Spider-Man costume can be seen flipping into a truck in a YouTube video embedded below this article, but a closer look during the filming in Los Angeles can be seen in a video obtained by TMZ.

Several set pictures have additionally made their way out on the web, showing Spider-Man running across the street and jumping onto a big truck with a sling attached on his back. Considering the difficult stunts and since his face was hidden under the mask, it is safe to assume that it is a stuntman filming the action scenes instead of lead actor Andrew Garfield.

While The CW remains mum on the fate of "Life Unexpected", the show quietly signed off on Tuesday, January 18 with two hour episodes which could both serve as the season and series finale. [Spoiler Alert] Five minutes into the end, the show jumped two years later to Lux's graduation and a lot have changed since.

Should the show return for season 3, they have a lot of explaining to do including how Lux ends up with Jones and Tasha is okay with it. Melissa Etheridge is set to step in for Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong while he takes a break from performing in his Broadway musical "American Idiot" next month. Armstrong - who composed and co-authored the musical based on Green Day songs - kicked off the New Year reprising the role of drug dealer St. Jimmy in the show after original castmember Tony Vincent bowed out, making appearances from January 1 to 9.

He resumes the role onstage on Tuesday, January 18 and will perform on and off until February 27. And now director Michael Mayer has revealed "Come to My Window" hitmaker Etheridge will fill in for the star from February 1 to 6.

Actress Minnie Driver is set to show off her musical skills in new movie "Hunky Dory" by performing with a children's orchestra. The actress, who has recorded two albums, has never sung on film before and she admits it was a dream come true to combine her two passions.

She says, "Apart from singing the title track on the Phantom of The Opera soundtrack this is my first time singing on film. It's the best experience I've had. It was incredible singing all the music from the 70s; I sang a Beach Boys song, I sang a Dusty Springfield song. My favorite was singing Strange Magic. The orchestra in the movie were these kids from seven to 17 and they had been workshopping for the last three years."

Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry has asked a judge to declare him the father of the couple's daughter Nahla. The Canadian model filed a paternity petition on December 30, according to TMZ.com.

Sources tell the website Aubry merely wants to protect his rights now he and Berry are no longer together. The former couple has not filed for child custody, visitation or support and they don't plan to.

British model-turned-reality star Katie Price has confirmed her second marriage is over following weeks of press speculation. Price, also known by her glamor modeling alias Jordan, married cage fighter Alex Reid in Las Vegas last year, just months after divorcing Australian singer Peter Andre, the father of two of her children.

Jennifer Lopez threatened Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais with physical violence if he poked fun at her as she took to the stage as a presenter at the ceremony on Sunday, January 16. "American Bullshit" is now set up at Sony Pictures after coming in number 30 on 2010 Black List, a compilation of favorite screenplays that would not be released during the calendar year. It tells "the true story of Abscam, the FBI's 1980 undercover sting operation of Congress to root out corruption which was the brainchild of the world's greatest con man."

Alex Lambert, a former contestant of "American Idol" season 9, shared some disturbing news on his Twitter on Tuesday, January 18. Becoming one of the cast of "If I Can Dream" soon after eliminated from the "Idol", the 20-year-old aspiring singer said he's been homeless after the Simon Fuller web series ended.

Four men have been arrested and charged over the murder of Lauryn Hill's former bassist, a year after he was found dead in his car in Oakland, California. Dewey Tucker was discovered slumped behind the wheel of his vehicle with a gunshot wound to his head on January 12, 2010.

Police believe the 24-year-old bassist had been on his way to a practice session when he was shot and killed in what authorities have described as a "horrendous case of mistaken identity". Cops arrested four suspects last Wednesday, January 12, on the first anniversary of Tucker's death, and they were hauled into court on Thursday.

Jerry Lewis' slapstick humor is heading back to the big screen. The funnyman has signed a deal to remake his most successful comedies.

Artificial Intelligence Entertainment and Social Capital Films have acquired the remake rights from Lewis to develop his 1960s films "The Bellboy", "Cinderfella" and "The Family Jewels" with a modern twist. The comedian, 84, will serve as co-executive producer on the films.

The organizers of Germany's Berlin Film Festival will turn the spotlight on the plight of jailed Iranian director Jafar Panahi by honoring him at the 2011 event in protest of his six-year sentence. The filmmaker, an outspoken supporter of Iran's opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi, received the punishment in December 2010 after he was convicted of campaigning against the country's government and shooting without permission.

He was also banned from writing or making films for 20 years, according to his lawyers. Panahi's legal troubles have caught the attention of Hollywood heavyweights Martin Scorsese, Harvey Weinstein, Sean Penn and Paul Haggis, who have all backed an Amnesty International campaign to free him and his co-defendant, Mohammad Rasoulof, who was also ordered to serve six years behind bars.

Hollywood father and son Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez are putting pen to paper for a family memoir. The actors have signed a deal with publishers at Simon & Shuster imprint Free Press to write "Along the Way" in time for America's Father's Day next year, or June 17, 2012.

A statement from Estevez reads, "I'm so happy to be working on this unique project with my father. Leaving after four years on air without a fanfare, "Hannah Montana" set a record history with its Sunday, January 16 finale. More than 6 million viewers said goodbye to the Disney Channel series. The number outperformed its record-setting fourth-season average by 9 percent.

At 6.2 million, the rating was cable's most watched telecast during 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. hour among kids 6 to 11 (2.1 million viewers) and tweens 9 to 14 (2.0 million viewers). It was at the same time, the Disney Channel's highest ratings ever in the hour in total viewers and among kids 6-11. The final season of the show thus averaged 5.65 million viewers, its best season-long number ever.

American shock jock Howard Stern has launched a scathing verbal attack on U.S. TV host Jay Leno, calling the funnyman "a crook" and accusing him of stealing jokes. The foul-mouthed radio personality launched into a rant about "The Tonight Show" host during an interview with British newsman Piers Morgan on his new CNN talk show.

Stern insists Leno is not as good as rival TV star David Letterman, and claims the comedian relies on others to provide his gags. He tells Morgan, "Jay is insane. And Jay is a crook. Lindsay Lohan's father is convinced his daughter has emerged from rehab a "changed" woman, insisting the actress is back "at her best". Veteran U.S. TV presenter Regis Philbin is retiring from his daytime chat show "Live With Regis and Kelly" - after almost 28 years on air. The beloved 79-year-old host announced his exit at the start of Tuesday, January 18's programme, which he now co-hosts with actress Kelly Ripa.

Philbin will step down from the show at the end of this summer, although he did not specify a departure date. The news comes a year after Philbin underwent an operation to remove a blood clot that formed following hip replacement surgery and forced him off the air for several weeks.

The cast and crew of the latest "Twilight" movie were left stranded on a Brazilian island recently after a heavy rainstorm stopped them from returning to their hotel. The stars, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, have been busy working on the final installment in the vampire franchise, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II", which will be split into two films.

The shoot has taken them through a range of diverse locations from Vancouver, Canada to New Orleans, Louisiana, and they recently relocated to an island off the coast of Brazil to film key scenes with Pattinson and Stewart.

Funnyman Ricky Gervais has dismissed accusations he offended Tim Allen and Tom Hanks with his risque jokes at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 16 - he enjoyed a drink with the Hollywood actors after the ceremony.

The actor/comedian has come under fire for his humor at the event, with a number of stars, including Claire Danes, subsequently taking aim at him for making jokes at the expense of celebrity guests. Phillip Berk, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the group behind the Globes, called Gervais' jibes "totally unacceptable".

Miranda Kerr has debuted her son with Orlando Bloom, Flynn, who was born on January 6. Through her Kora Organics website, she shares an intimate picture which is taken by her actor husband and featuring herself while nursing the baby on bed, writing "Our beautiful little son."

"He weighed 9lb 12 ounces (a very healthy and big baby boy)," the model writes details of the baby on his birth. Charlie Sheen and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller are attempting to put their differences aside and reconcile for the sake of their young sons, according to the actor's mother-in-law. Organizers of a series of shows in Australia featuring Mary J. Blige, Sean Paul and Maxi Priest have vowed to donate proceeds to a relief fund for victims of the country's devastating floods. The state of Queensland was plunged into a state of emergency this month as heavy rain caused massive flooding throughout the region - at least 25 people have died and thousands of residents have been forced to flee their homes. The floodwaters have now also affected the state of Victoria.

Blige and Priest are among the stars due to perform at Brisbane's Raggamuffin music festival on January 30, and organizers have now renamed the gig Reggae For Recovery - Flood Relief Benefit Concert. They've promised to donate money from ticket sales to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal.

American boy band O-Town has reunited - four of the five original members have teamed up again to start work on new music. The hitmakers, whose track "All or Nothing" has been covered by Westlife, formed on the first season of MTV reality show "Making the Band" in 2000.

Jacob Underwood, Ashley Parker Angel, Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller went on to release two albums before they disbanded in 2003. And now they are set to make a comeback - but Angel, who has gone on to carve out an acting career for himself, has refused to sign up, reports TMZ.com.

Lauryn Hill has angered her fans for the second time in a month, after keeping an audience waiting for three hours at a comeback concert and changing her songs beyond recognition. The reclusive singer was due to take to the stage in Atlanta, Georgia at 9 P.M. EST on Friday night, January 14, but she didn't begin her performance until midnight.

And the crowd at the Center Stage venue was unimpressed when Hill finally began her set - the singer reportedly declared she was tired of "playing the same music night after night" and performed several unfamiliar versions of her hit songs. One fan told the Sandrarose.com blog, "Nobody could participate because NOBODY knew the music! Everybody was looking around like 'What Song Is This?' "

NBC is doing some adjustments in its midseason schedule that cause another delay to "Law & Order: Los Angeles". The spin-off to "Law & Order", which has already been on a two-month hiatus, is not going to return on February 8 as scheduled. Instead, the network will set a new date and announce it later.

In that case, "Parenthood" will leave its Mondays 10/9c slot and take over "LOLA" 's Tuesdays 10/9c slot. "Parenthood" 's original time is going to continue containing new series "Harry's Law" which is doing good at the time period.

As it has been anticipated before, a new sneak peek video from "Sherlock Holmes 2" comes out via Entertainment Tonight on January 18. It follows ET's reporter on the set of the movie where an interview with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law also takes place.

A quick look at a battle scene set in what looks like a wood is included and Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes is seen dressing in drag in some other parts. Still wearing the female costume during the interview, the actor explains that his character is in disguise with that appearance. "I actually have to say that this 'Some Like It Hot' moment was kind of my idea, and then when we were getting closer and closer I was thinking,' Is this a really bad idea?' And as it happens, it's good, I think," he shares.

Newsman-turned-TV personality Piers Morgan has bet Oprah Winfrey he'll land the first indepth interview with convicted dog fighter Michael Vick before her. Winfrey was the first guest on the Brit's new CNN show "Piers Morgan Tonight", which aired on Monday, January 17, and during the pair's chat it became clear that both are after a big interview with the disgraced American footballer.

When Oprah refused to discuss what she would ask Vick if she landed him as one of her final Oprah Winfrey Show guests, Morgan offered her a wager. He said, "One hundred British pounds says I get Vick before you." Winfrey offered, "Make it two." The two TV titans then shook hands on the bet.

"Pretty Wild" star Tess Taylor has checked into a rehab clinic in California to kick an addiction to opiates. The aspiring model is receiving treatment at the SOBA Malibu Recovery Center after becoming "extremely weak and exhausted from trying to detox and recover from opiate addiction," according to her mother Andrea Arlington.

Taylor's admission comes just weeks after her sister and TV co-star Alexis Neiers was ordered into a year-long rehabilitation program for breaching her probation following her conviction on a burglary charge as part of Hollywood's infamous 'Bling Ring' gang, which targeted celebrity homes.

Christina Hendricks flew into a panic at the Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday, January 16 after losing an $850,000 diamond bracelet on the red carpet. The "Mad Men" star borrowed gems from legendary jewelery company Chopard to wear to the star-studded event in Los Angeles.

But one of the matching diamond bangles slipped off Hendricks' wrist as she made her way into the venue, and the actress turned to reporters for help locating the pricey piece, asking, "Have you seen a diamond bracelet? I've lost one that looks like this."

Pregnant actress Penelope Cruz reportedly invited all of her female friends over to her Los Angeles home on Saturday, January 15 for a baby shower. The Spanish star is expecting her first child with husband Javier Bardem and is due to give birth in the coming weeks.

The reason Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger were not spotted at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 16 was a family passing. The actor's father, Charles, died at the age of 71 on Saturday, January 15 after a long illness which is not disclosed. Funeral services are kept private.

Renee who has been dating the actor in the past few years pulled out of the event at the last minutes to support him and traveled back to Jenkintown, Pennsylvania with him. Charles is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Holly and sister Nancy Peacock.

It turns out that Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor" which leaked over the weekend is not the final version. The Pitbull-assisted single comes out in its official form on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Tuesday, January 18 along with its cover art.

The song is produced by RedOne and recorded for J.Lo's upcoming studio album "Love?" which is expected to arrive later this year. Compared to the unfinished track, this new one is neater with more J.Lo in the intro. An image of "X-Men: First Class" has surfaced online, giving the first look at main cast of the film. While James McAvoy who portrays Charles Xavier had been spotted on the set, this is the first time he is seen wearing X-Men uniform.
