A new year means new things to come and movie industry takes part in this, too. Since successful flicks like "Avatar" and "Inception" have set the bar higher last year, people can expect more developed films, both in stories and technology, for their entertainment in 2011.

While Michael Bay combines the action-packed signature with 3-D in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", Terrence Malick pitches a fresh story for "The Tree of Life" that presents drama in a more twisting way. Other films that have become talks of the town during 2010 and will potentially become box office hits are sorted in this list of The 10 Most Anticipated Movies in 2011 by AceShowbiz.

Emily Osment's "Lovesick" music video makes its way out over the weekend. The clip features the "Hannah Montana" star doing some robotic moves and singing the song in a dark room with lights glowing around her.

"My entire idea for the music video was based around a robot concept, about robot love," the 18-year-old songstress said. "How love is universal and all that." She had already got the idea about this video while she was recording the song in studio.

Plot Details of 'Thor' Leaked

The first official trailer for "Thor" was debuted by Paramount Pictures almost a month ago but there is still plenty that we don't know about the film. However, some details have now been leaked to provide spoilers ahead of the film release.

The major spoilers first came out on SuperHeroHype forums and were then confirmed by Comic Book Movie's source. [SPOILER ALERT!] It says the film will start with Natalie Portman's Jane, Kat Dennings' Darcy and Stellan Skarsgard's Professor Andrews in a van out in the New Mexico desert observing a phenomenon in the sky. This is when Chris Hemsworth's Thor drops to Earth. Jane accidentally hits him with her van and she does that again later in the film.

Jay-Z's Broadway Production 'Fela!' Moved to Nigeria

Jay-Z's Broadway musical "Fela!", about famed musician and activist Fela Kuti, is heading to the late star's native Nigeria. The Tony Award-winning show, which is currently starring Patti LaBelle in the role of Fela's mother, closed on Broadway on Sunday, January 2 night after 13 months in the Big Apple.

Now Edward Tyler Nahem, who co-produced the Broadway run with Jay-Z and Will Smith, is taking the production to the Nigerian capital of Lagos after proving its draw by bringing big names to its audience. Nahem tells the New York Post, "Fela Kuti was to the music of the last 40 years what Picasso was to art in the 20th century."

"The X Factor" winner Matt Cardle has continued his chart reign in the U.K. after landing the first number one single of 2011. The singer topped the chart for the third consecutive week on Sunday, January 2 night with "When We Collide", while Rihanna and Drake's duet "What's My Name?" stayed in second place.

The Black Eyed Peas' "The Time (Dirty Bit)" took third spot, Ellie Goulding's "Your Song" and Katy Perry's hit "Firework" rounded out the top five.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Reduces Politician's Son's Prison Term

Arnold Schwarzenegger has used his last day as California Governor to reduce the prison term handed to the son of U.S. politician Fabian Nunez. Esteban Nunez, 22, pleaded guilty last May to voluntary manslaughter and assault stemming from the fatal stabbing of student Luis Santos during a brawl near San Diego State University in 2008.

He was handed a 16-year sentence - but on Sunday, January 2 Schwarzenegger cut the term to seven years. The "Terminator" star described the sentence as "excessive" as Nunez didn't inflict the fatal stab wound, reports the Los Angeles Times. Schwarzenegger is leaving the Californian office on Monday, January 3.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was doused in petrol and held at gunpoint as he tried to uncover the dark world of illegal shark fin trading for a new TV show. The "Hell's Kitchen" star was shooting scenes for a British programme "Big Fish Fight" when he confronted gangsters in Costa Rica who had slaughtered thousands of sharks to sell their sought-after fins.

But Ramsay was left terrified when the gang kept their guns trained on him and his TV crew before throwing fuel over him. He was later advised by local police to flee the country for his own safety.

The partial trailer follows Amber Heard's Kristen who is brought to a remote ward of Chamberlain Psychiatric Hospital with no idea why she was there and no memory of her life. It ends right after Kristen is haunted by a mysterious figure in a bathroom.

The other patients in the ward, four equally troubled girls, offer no answers and Kristen quickly realizes things are not as they seem. One by one the girls disappear and Kristen must find a way out of this hellish place before the ghost comes for her too. As she struggles to escape, she will uncover a truth far more dangerous and horrifying than anyone could have imagined.

'24' Movie Suspended After Rejected Script

Don't expect to see "24: The Movie" in a short future. Despite the fact that it already has had a script written by Billy Ray, the 20th Century Fox is not going to move forward with the project since they have rejected the script.

No details are provided on why the studio nixed the script. But Howard Gordon, the longtime executive producer of "24" series who is also expected to produce the big screen version, tells Entertainment Weekly, "As far as I know, it is in suspended animation."

Stuntman of 'Spider-Man' Musical to Leave Rehab on January 5

A stuntman who was injured in Broadway's troubled "Spider-Man" musical is scheduled to leave his rehabilitation center on Wednesday, January 5 and will continue treatment in New York. Christopher Tierney was forced to spend Christmas, December 25 under doctors' care after falling from a ledge during a performance of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" on December 20.

Tierney suffered several broken ribs, a fractured elbow, a bruised lung, three fractured vertebrae and a cracked skull, and subsequently underwent back surgery. But the 31 year old continues to make good progress in his recovery - he was transferred from the intensive care unit at New York's Bellevue Hospital to an inpatient rehab facility in the city on Thursday, December 30. And now show spokesman Rick Miramontez has confirmed Tierney will be released from a rehab facility later this week.

'Hellcats' Drops Extended Preview of January Return

The CW has released multiple videos to remind fans of "Hellcats" return in the past few days. Now an extended look into the January 25 episode called "Papa, Oh Papa" includes some new footage instead of a throwback into the first half of the season.

"Hellcats" moves to a new night, being paired with "One Tree Hill" on Tuesdays. The previous occupant "Life Unexpected" is not renewed and would air its last episode on January 18. Meanwhile, "Hellcats" old slot on Wednesdays 9/8c is now taken by a new show called "Shedding for the Wedding". Combined with "America's Next Top Model", "Shedding" will serve The CW audience with a night of reality.

More details from the widely reported "Toy Story" short film have emerged in a form of a summary of a children's book entitled "Play-cation!" which will be published by Random House/Disney on August 9. It describes further the Barbie-and-Ken-Hawaiian-honeymoon-themed plot which was unveiled before.

"Bonnie is off to Hawaii, and Barbie and Ken are excited to go along on their first tropical vacation! But when they're accidentally left behind, it's up to Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys to create a Hawaiian paradise right in Bonnie's room," so read the synopsis for the book which is based on the latest animated short featuring the toys from Disney/Pixar "Toy Story". Chuck Berry Slumped On Stage Mid-Show

Chuck Berry was forced to cut his Chicago, Illinois concert short on Saturday night, January 1, after he collapsed on stage mid-show. The 84 year old startled fans an hour into his gig at the Concert Theater when he slumped over a keyboard and had to be escorted off stage to be checked by paramedics.

After being examined, Berry returned to the stage to thank confused fans who waited for the show to continue, but he told the crowd he was unable to carry on. According to Fire Department spokesman, Joe Roccasalva, Berry signed a release saying he was fine, and was not taken to a hospital.

Cannes Winner Per Oscarsson Could Be Dead in House Fire

Swedish actor Per Oscarsson is feared dead after a fire set his home ablaze on Friday, December 31, according to the Associated Press. Police spokesman Jan Strommegard says the remains of one person were found on Sunday, January 2 in the ashes of the house in Skara, which are believed to be those of the 83-year-old actor or his wife, 67-year-old Kia Ostling.

Both were reported missing by their relatives who say the couple apparently was home when the fire destroyed the house early Friday morning. The cause of the fire was unknown as WENN went to press.

'Jackass' Star Preston Lacy Charged for Drug Possession

"Jackass" star Preston Lacy has been charged with marijuana possession following a December arrest in Oklahoma. The daredevil, who is most often featured with Jason Acuna, aka Wee-Man, in the U.S. TV series and companion movies, was arrested on December 14 after police found him in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

According to TMZ.com, the 41 year old had marijuana and rolling papers in his possession. He was charged with two misdemeanors. If convicted Lacy could spend up to two years in prison and face $2,000 in fines.

Confirmed, David Arquette Enters Rehab

It seems that David Arquette wants to start 2011 as a sober man. He has checked into rehab during the holiday weekend, his representative confirms. The actor partied at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year's Eve before entering a live-in facility, TMZ reports.

While his representative says "no further information" would be released, a source reveals that David needs help with alcohol and other issues. Take That Named Amazon's Best-Selling Music Act

British pop stars Take That have fought off competition from The Beatles and Michael Jackson to be named the best-selling music act ever on website Amazon.co.uk. The group's latest record, "Progress", has dominated Britain's album chart since it was released last month and has gone on to sell more than 1.8 million copies.

Combined with sales of previous discs, Take That have topped the online retailer's music rundown to find the best seller since the site launched in 1998. The Beatles came second on the list, while Michael Jackson was third.

Paramore Work on New Album After Splitting From Farro Brothers

Rockers Paramore are moving on from the recent departure of the Farro brothers by starting work on a new album. Josh Farro and his brother Zac Farro, who founded the group with singer Hayley Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis in 2004, left the band earlier this month, playing their last their show with the group in Orlando, Florida on December 12.

Josh subsequently spoke out about the siblings' decision to quit, accusing Williams of taking over and causing arguments. He also claimed working with the vocalist on the band's last album, 2009's "Brand New Eyes", sparked their departure: "We fought her about how her lyrics misrepresented our band and what we stood for, but, in the end, she got her way."

A representative for Marc Anthony has confirmed the Latin singer has worked out a deal with U.S. authorities to pay off his multi-million dollar tax debts. Jennifer Lopez's Grammy-winning husband owes $3.4 million to the Internal Revenue Service, according to tax liens obtained by Eonline.com.

The sum is linked to unpaid taxes on the "I Need to Know" hitmaker's Long Island, New York property. A spokesperson reveals the star has enlisted the help of his management and financial team to reach "an agreement in principle resolving all of (his) federal tax liabilities... No further comments will be issued about this matter."

Pamela Anderson has been honored for her tireless work to end animal cruelty - she's been named People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)'s Person of the Year. The former "Baywatch" beauty was awarded the title after a year in which she drew attention to animal rights issues by speaking to students at the U.K.'s prestigious Oxford University, posing for pictures with her body painted in butcher markings, and filming a TV commercial in which she strip-searches plane passengers for hidden furs and pelts.

The vegetarian actress/model also adopted stray dogs from an animal shelter and called on leaders in India to ban the country's "unspeakably cruel" trade in leather. And her efforts to promote the cause have now been recognized by officials at PETA, who named her their Person of the Year for 2010 on Friday, December 31.

A statement from the network reads, "Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson's official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely."
