Though so, he was not doing it for charity since he was shooting a part for his film "Man on a Ledge". Standing on a ledge of the Roosevelt Hotel, the Aussie star threw some bucks in the air while filming the particular scene.

In the movie, Worthington portrays ex-cop and wanted fugitive Nick Cassidy threatening to jump to his death. Elizabeth Banks will portray a hard-living New York Police Department hostage negotiator who tries to talk Worthington down. But the longer they are on the ledge, the more she realizes that he might have an ulterior objective.

New report has surfaced, adding controversy to Eva Longoria and NBA basketball star Tony Parker's split news. After the two filed for divorce against each other, now a 19-year-old British model, named Sophia Egeler, told Britain's The Sun that Tony had sent her racy text messages and a half-naked photo of himself behind his actress wife's back.

Sophia revealed that Tony pursued her with the sultry messages after they met at an Ultimate Fighting show at the O2 Arena in London where he had gone with French Arsenal ace Bacary Sagna and a sports agent. "From the minute he met me he was trying it on. I had no idea he was Eva Longoria's husband," Sophia disclosed.

Kelly Osbourne was so depressed about her fluctuating weight she considered undergoing a drastic gastric band operation to slim down. The reality TV star has lost 48 pounds following her stint on TV talent show "Dancing with the Stars" last year and was rumored to have shed the weight with the help of a surgeon.

Osbourne admits she was tempted to have the operation to reduce the size of her stomach but insists she was too "terrified" to have a gastric band fitted. She tells British newsman Piers Morgan, "I got really fat, because I stopped doing drugs. I had just gotten out of rehab and I had been living in America again..."

Legendary comedian/actor Peter Sellers tried to charm actress Britt Ekland by offering her marijuana on their first date - but she passed out. The former Bond girl, who was married to Sellers for four years until 1968, first met the funnyman at The Dorchester Hotel in London, where they were both staying.

"Pink Panther" star Sellers tried to woo Ekland by offering her drugs on their first outing, but she soon fell asleep. The Swedish star, who is taking part in U.K. reality show "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!", recalled to her fellow contestants on the series, "He came to the front of the hotel and drove us to Leicester Square and we went to see a film called The Pink Panther, which he was in, and I was very impressed because we didn't have to pay for it. A model who was with Charlie Sheen when he reportedly trashed a New York hotel room has accused the star of placing his hands around her throat during the incident. Capri Anderson has spoken publicly for the first time since the "Two and a Half Men" actor hit the headlines last month over reports he ransacked his suite during a night of passion with the adult actress.

Sheen maintains speculation about the incident has been blown out of proportion - but Anderson admits she was terrified of the star after he allegedly grabbed her by the neck. Kind-hearted actress Angelina Jolie has pledged to help victims of severe flooding near her Italian home. The "Tomb Raider" star, who owns a house in Italy's north-east Veneto region with partner Brad Pitt, has reportedly donated cash after the area suffered rising water levels following a spate of heavy rains.

Several residents have been forced to abandon their home, while others had to be rescued after becoming trapped by the floods. And Jolie has also offered to head fundraising appeals to help boost efforts to overcome the floods, reports Britain's The Daily Telegraph.

Co-produced by will.i.am and Benny Benassi, "Brave" is taken from Kelis' fifth studio album "Flesh Tone" which has been in stores since July this year. The song was co-written by her based on her failed marriage with Nas.

As Justin Bieber's mentor, Usher recently gave the YouTube sensation one more advice which may upset Bieber's devotees. According to News Time, the "Burn" hitmaker advised Bieber not to become romantically involved with any of his female fans.

"I tell Justin you've got to love all your fans without falling in love with them. I can't say I've never dated a fan but it's not a good idea," Usher said as quoted by the site. "I tell him to understand that you are a fantasy to them and you should be mindful of that."

As it is getting closer to the release date of "Tron Legacy", Walt Disney Pictures keeps teasing fans by releasing more sneak peek videos. The studio has recently debuted a new clip as well as behind-the-scene video from the movie.

Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand rejected a string of lucrative offers to sell their wedding photos to the press, because they feared it would only lead to further media intrusion into their lives. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker wed the outlandish Brit in a lavish ceremony in India last month and hired burly security guards to keep the paparazzi out.

A source tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "Al and Miles know Kelly from their time on - Smallville and they think she is a star in the making. Jake Gyllenhaal is planning a 30th birthday to remember - he's jetting off to the Arctic to face his fear of freezing temperatures and frightening mammals. The Hollywood star will celebrate the milestone in December and he's treating his family to an adventure in the Arctic Circle to scuba dive with walruses.

But Gyllenhaal admits there's another reason behind the icy excursion. He tells the New York Daily News, "The only reason I'm doing it is I wanted to do something that absolutely terrified me - killer whales and walruses and freezing cold water? That seems absolutely terrifying."

Soon after it was reported that "The Man of Steel" began its casting search, a name has surfaced as the alleged contender. According to Movienewz (via Comic Book Movie), Matthew Goode is the frontrunner to portray the title character.

Sources told the site that Zack Snyder wants Goode "to play mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent" though the previous news said the project is likely to cast an actor who is not well known yet. Goode, in the meantime, is not an A-list star but he has had key roles in several films like "Watchmen", "Leap Year" and "A Single Man".

Dannii Minogue is losing one more of her protege on "The X Factor". Paije Richardson was sent packing on Sunday, November 21 after a sing-off with Cheryl Cole's act Cher Lloyd. The winners list of 2010 American Music Awards might be dominated by male artists like Justin Bieber, Eminem and Usher, but the event itself saw a lot of female performers. Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift were two of them.

Coming closer to its midseason premiere, "Pretty Little Liars" releases a new promo that reminds fans of what happened last summer and what's coming ahead. Plenty of sneak peeks from the second half of season 1 are in it, including the scene where Hanna thinks she sees Allison well and alive.

"Moments Later", the first episode of 2011, will air on January 3 on ABC Family. Moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls' world is turned upside down. Even a big name could not help Lindsay Lohan to secure her movie role. After the star is ordered to stay in a rehab facility until at least early 2011, filmmakers of "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story" have decided to let her go and hire another actress.

Reports suggested Perry's aides asked for her boobs to be photo-shopped for the patriotic poster, but Perry took to Twitter to reveal the truth.

Jay-Z has opened up for the first time about the day he shot his older brother, revealing he felt his life was "over" even though he was still just a boy. Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, grew up in a tough housing project in Brooklyn, New York and was just 12 when he pulled the trigger on his sibling Eric.

The rapper was furious after discovering his brother, who was addicted to crack cocaine at the time, had stolen his ring so he found a gun and decided to take revenge. But he admits he was "terrified" after the shooting and feared he would be locked up for life.

Colin Farrell was so determined to impress British hardman Ray Winstone with his Cockney accent in new movie "London Boulevard", he hired a dialect coach. The Irish actor plays a criminal recently released from jail in the film, opposite Winstone and Keira Knightley, and he went to great lengths to ensure his East London accent was just right for the role.

He tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "I had a great dialect coach who came to my house in Los Angeles every day. I'm happy with the way it turned out but it was intimidating doing it in front of Ray. You can't get more Cockney than him. He's a sweetheart and we do get on - but I do find him a bit scary."

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal had an early run in with the law as a young teenager after he was dared to steal a pair of swimming trunks and walk out of the store wearing nothing but the skimpy pants. The fourth studio album from Aldean, "My Kinda Party" has been doing well in the Billboard Hot 200 chart. Optimum Releasing has dropped the first trailer for "Brighton Rock" via Guardian. It is set in the mods and rockers era of the 60s and follows Pinkie, a razor-wielding disadvantaged teenager who is hell bent on clawing his way up through the ranks of organized crime.

At the heart of the story is the anti-hero Pinkie's relationship with Rose, an apparently innocent young waitress who stumbles on evidence linking Pinkie and his gang to a revenge killing that Pinkie commits. The story is based on a novel with the same title by Graham Greene which had been made into a movie starring Richard Attenborough in 1947.

Anne Hathaway stepped into the shoes of princess-to-be Kate Middleton this weekend when she joined Andy Samberg for a foul-mouthed spoof about the engagement of Prince William on hit U.S. comedy show "Saturday Night Live".

The Hollywood actress donned a cheap copy of Middleton's sapphire blue engagement dress to portray the British royal's new fiancee, opposite Samberg as William, during a raucous sketch on Saturday's episode. The segment saw William introduce her to his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip - played by Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, respectively.

R&B star Faith Evans fears police will never solve her former husband Notorious B.I.G.'s murder mystery, because they've struggled to make any progress in the 13 years since his death. The hip-hop star, real name Christopher Wallace, was gunned down in Los Angeles in March 1997. An investigation was launched immediately after the fatal shooting but the matter remains unsolved.

Various conspiracy theories have linked his death to the East Coast/West Coast rap rivalry involving former Death Row Records mogul Marion Suge Knight and his top artist Tupac Shakur, who was shot and killed less than a year before Biggie's tragedy. Universal Pictures' Illumination Entertainment has unleashed the first poster for "Hop" which is targeted to come out next spring on April 1, 2011. The one-sheet gives the first look at Russell Brand as animated Easter Bunny, who is captured alongside a number of rabbit statues and a cheerful chick.

Described as the world's worst houseguest, Brand's Easter Bunny is accidentally injured by an unemployed slacker Fred played by James Marsden, who is then forced to take the holiday creature in until he recovers. As Fred struggles to live with Easter Bunny, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up.

Simon Cowell's fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy has dismissed ongoing reports the couple has split, insisting the claims are "nonsense". The music mogul proposed to the make-up artist earlier this year and rumors were rife they would wed within months.

Mum-to-be Miranda Kerr has thrown her support behind a telephone helpline in a bid to prevent young suicides - after a similar tragedy in her own family last year. The model, who is expecting a baby with husband Orlando Bloom in 2011, was devastated when one of her relatives committed suicide in 2009.

And she's backing Australia's Too Many, Too Soon initiative, which aims to give advice over the phone to upset youngsters. Kerr explains, "The sadness of losing someone, especially in these circumstances, is something we live with and continually question how it could have been prevented."

Teri Hatcher has quit her starring role on "Desperate Housewives", according to a U.K. report. The actress has played Susan Mayer in all seven series of the drama since it hit screens in the U.S. in 2004. But Hatcher has reportedly told executives at America's ABC network the next season will be her last, so she can work on a new show.

A source tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on. She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes 'Desperate Housewives' - she wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season."

Actor Wesley Snipes is remaining "strong and positive" ahead of his three-year jail sentence for tax evasion, according to his lawyer. The "Blade" star was found guilty of failing to file returns when he stood trial in 2008, but his lawyers appealed the verdict and he was freed on bail to challenge the ruling.

He lost the appeal in July and was due to surrender to authorities on September 2 - but U.S. District Court Judge Terrell Hodges granted him a postponement pending a retrial hearing this month. On Tuesday, November 16, Snipes' lawyer Daniel Meachum argued jurors in the 2008 trial had been biased against the star, amid allegations three members of the jury had made up their minds about the case before the court battle began.

Capri Anderson, a woman who was found with Charlie Sheen during his Plaza hotel meltdown and was identified as an escort, has now broken her silence. During a recent interview with ABC's "Nightline", Capri claimed that night ended with her locked in a hotel bathroom in fear for her life as Charlie lost control.

Capri started with telling ABC that Charlie hired her to escort him to dinner that night, in late October, but it later turned sour. "He was, from the beginning of the night, very loud and he had no hesitations when it came to using derogatory language or cuss words," Capri said in the interview which will be aired on Monday, November 22 at 11:35 P.M. Bosses at a U.K. rehab centre attended by Amy Winehouse and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers have been fined $57,000 for treating patients without obtaining a proper license. District Judge Cooper criticized the owners of the Causeway Retreat for being "scandalously negligent, if not downright misleading and fraudulent" in a ruling at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court, England on Friday, November 19.

Managers of the private hospital on Osea Island in Essex, England pleaded guilty to two charges of carrying on a medical service that was unregistered with the Care Quality Commission. The judge ordered them to pay $12,000 in fines and $45,000 in costs.

British stars Take That and Cheryl Cole helped raise more than $27 million for charity as part of the annual Children in Need fundraiser on Friday, November 19 The seven-hour U.K. TV appeal saw a host of stars including Take That, Susan Boyle, Kylie Minogue and Sir Tom Jones put in appearances to urge viewers to make donations.

More than $27 million was raised by the end of the evening - but organizers are hoping to beat last year's total of $58.5 million once all the donations are counted. David Ramsden, chief executive of Children in Need, says, "In these tough times the millions raised... will make a real difference to thousands of young lives right across the U.K. On behalf of the children I would like to thank everyone for their incredible generosity."

Cher's hand and footprint ceremony outside Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Thursday night, November 18 was interrupted by the rescued Chilean miners. The survival heroes were being driven around Hollywood in an open-topped bus when the vehicle drove by the famous cinema, where Cher was being saluted.

Paris Hilton has been busy painting and cleaning the streets of Hollywood as part of her community service sentence. The socialite has been ordered to volunteer 200 hours of her time as part of a plea deal stemming from her drug arrest in August this year.

She was charged with felony drug possession after cops saw a small bag of cocaine fall out of her purse during a Las Vegas trip. Hilton attracted a swarm of paparazzi as she joined a group called the Hollywood Beautification Team on Friday, November 19 to paint over graffiti marks on buildings in the downtown area.

Actress Sienna Miller has bowed out of Kevin Spacey's annual theater extravaganza in London due to a scheduling conflict. The "Factory Girl" star was due to participate in Spacey's 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala at the Old Vic theatre on Sunday, November 21 but she has axed her appearance to film a movie.

Her spokesperson says, "Very sadly, she had to pull out due to a clash of dates and she's extremely disappointed not to be able to be involved." Miller is believed to be in Los Angeles shooting the upcoming drama "Yellow", in which she plays a drug addict.

A Hollywood studio where hit show "Dancing with the Stars" is filmed was evacuated on Friday night, November 19 when staff found a strange white powder in fanmail. Reports suggest the substance turned out to be nothing but talcum powder, but it was enough to send producers and studio executives into a panic.

A source tells TMZ.com fire crews and FBI Hazardous Materials officials were called to CBS Television City in the heart of West Hollywood after the mysterious package was found and "measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel". Officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

Sir Sean Connery has been ordered by a Spanish judge to contribute to a $76.5 million bond as part of an ongoing money-laundering and property fraud investigation. Judge Ricardo Puyol named the James Bond star as one of the individuals who must deposit the combined sum as surety in the probe into a number of property deals, including the 1998 sale of the actor's beachfront mansion near Marbella, Spain.

Connery and his wife Micheline made $8.4 million in the sale but allegedly failed to pay $2 million to the local authority. The property was knocked down to allow for 72 luxury apartments to be built, despite planning permission for just five family houses. The condominiums were said to have yielded a $75 million profit.

"Twilight" star Bronson Pelletier is recovering after he was attacked by a group of drunken men at a fan convention in Birmingham, England. The actor, who plays werewolf Jared in the franchise, was left with a broken nose after he was confronted in the restroom of the Hilton Metropole Hotel while attending the Eternal Twilight 4 event.

Chaos broke out as the 24 year old was hit over the skull, headbutted and held in a headlock before he managed to free himself. Four alleged attackers, who were guests at a wedding reception in the hotel, were then chased by police officers and one was restrained after cops used a Taser gun.

Warner Bros. Pictures once again has had their glorious moment at North American Box Office with beloved franchise "Harry Potter". The latest film of the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I", debuts atop the chart with $125 million.

The number marks the franchise best bow, surpassing the previous record holder "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" which raked in $102.7 million on its opening weekend in 2005. "Deathly Hallows: Part I" is also the sixth highest opening weekend ever following "The Dark Knight", "Spider-Man 3", "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "Iron Man 2".
