John Mayer has joined a plea, hoping people across the world to donate money so children in Africa could fight Malaria and reach the same age as Justin Bieber, who is now 16. In the new campaign called "Comedy Fights Malaria", Mayer said, "Almost a million people die every year from malaria."

Then Mayer explained that due to the illness, those children were not able to reach the same age as Bieber. "And of that number 85% die under the age of Justin Bieber," the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker stated.

Even before his latest rap album "Man on the Moon II : The Legend of Mr. Rager" comes out on November 9, Kid Cudi says he is "just over" rapping and wants to sing more. He additionally states that he tries his hands on rock music, forms a band and learns how to play guitar.

"I just really get more fulfillment out of singing now," he told MTV. "I'm teaching myself the guitar, that's my new found love. I never thought that I could play an instrument. Picked it up, surprised myself. It's been two and a half months, I'm already starting my next project. It's a rock album, I'm doing a band with [producer] Dot [da Genius] called Wizard."

Another environmental disaster movie, "Ice", is coming out and a trailer is available for preview. It picks up a real issue of climate change that, in the movie, causes unimaginable devastation and panic worldwide as the human race finds itself contemplating the dawn of a new ice age.

In 2020, environmental scientist Professor Thom Archer suggests that Halo, the corporate energy company drilling on the Greenland Glacier are causing it to melt. When his warnings are ignored, he heads to the Arctic to find indisputable evidence. Upon arrival, he realizes humankind is under immediate threat, and races home to save his family.

Randy Quaid has spoken out to address his recent arrest and legal woes, insisting he and his wife Evi are not "crazy". The actor and his wife were released from custody in Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday, October 27, where they were being held on a California warrant issued after they failed to show up for an arraignment earlier this month to face felony vandalism charges.

But speaking to reporters after a brief immigration hearing on Thursday, the "Brokeback Mountain" star maintained his innocence. He told reporters, "Up until a year ago, Evi and I had never had any run-in with the law whatsoever. We are not criminals, nor are we fugitives from justice, nor are we crazy. We are simply artists and film-makers being racketeered on."

Carrie Underwood announced on her official website that she has co-written and recorded a song for "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". It was further confirmed that the soundtrack will be featured on the end credits of the upcoming Fox movie.

The song will be released on iTunes next month on November 16. "Fox's objective is to promote the movie, but there's also an opportunity for Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for the song/Carrie," it was explained more. Title of the song hasn't been revealed though.

U.S. tax officials have called off an auction of items seized from Young Buck's home after the rapper agreed to pay back his debts. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents raided the hip-hop star's Tennessee property in August and left with his most valuable assets after he allegedly failed to pay $300,000 in taxes.

The goods were due to be sold on Thursday, October 28 but IRS officers canceled it after Young Buck's bankruptcy lawyer took legal action to block the sale and agreed a payment plan with the government.

"True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten escaped a confrontation with a killer cat when a panther co-star on the set of his new film "Red Hill" turned on its owner. The actor was supposed to work with the big cat in the Aussie outback adventure but the scenes were pulled when the panther showed its claws - and teeth.

Kwanten tells Access Hollywood he had to pretend he was staring down a panther, while director Patrick Hughes pretended to be a cat. Another panther was added later.

Laurence Fishburne's estranged teenage daughter Montana Fishburne is making good progress dealing with her behavioral issues in rehab, according to her lawyer. The "Matrix" actor's aspiring porn star daughter checked into an inpatient facility in Southern California last month to undergo a 30-day treatment program specializing in anger management.

And her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley is impressed with the 19 year old's improvement. Holley tells EOnline.com, "(She is) in a treatment facility and doing incredibly well. I couldn't be happier with her progress."

Michael Jackson's nephew, TJ Jackson, is to step into his uncle's moonwalking shoes for a new musical with singer Taylor Dayne. The King of Pop was planning to hit the stage in Los Angeles in the ambitious production of "Sisterella" after wrapping his This Is It concerts in London, but his death last summer forced his fellow producers to rethink the whole show.

Marilyn Manson fans can buy a piece of the shock rocker's original artwork this Halloween - his famed Grey Daisy painting is set for auction. The watercolor painting, one of his most documented and widely-recognized artworks, is set to be sold at The Gods 'n Metal Monsters Auction, which will showcase over 500 rare pieces of rock memorabilia.

It was originally unveiled and sold to a private collector at the rocker's very first art exhibit in 2002, called The Golden Age of Grotesque. Manson previously called the painting his only "nice" artwork, telling MTV News: "Someone said, 'Why don't you ever paint something nice like a flower?' so I painted one, but I ended up using only the dirty water from another painting. If I wasn't me, I would probably want this one."

Taylor Swift wowed 1,500 fans at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Wednesday night, October 27 with a show at JetBlue's Terminal 5. The country star performed a five-song set for contest winners and their guests and JetBlue employees.

She took the makeshift stage in a red polka-dot dress and bellowed, "Hello New York, I'm Taylor," before starting the performance with her hit You Belong With Me. Black Eyed Peas star Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie is set to receive the Woman of the Year Award at the 2010 Billboard Women in Music Event. The wife of "Transformers" star Josh Duhamel will accept the honor on December 2 in a ceremony which will be held in New York.

Of the honor, Fergie said as quoted by Billboard, "I am humbled and excited to accept the Billboard Woman of the Year Award. Being honored by Billboard is a great career achievement." The event comes two days after Black Eyed Peas' new album "The Beginning" hits the U.S. stores.

The editor-in-chief of fitness magazine Shape has apologized to readers for putting singer LeAnn Rimes on the October cover of the publication. Valerie Latona has called the decision to publish bikini shots and an interview with Rimes, who split from husband Dean Sheremet in 2009 following an affair with married actor Eddie Cibrian, a "terrible mistake".

In an email sent to some readers and obtained by TooFab.com, the editor wrote, "Please know that our putting her on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal, but to show (through her story) how we all are human. "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester has confessed she steals clothes from the set of the hit TV show. The actress, who plays socialite Blair Waldorf, admits she couldn't resist the temptation to swipe a pair of expensive shoes her character was recently given to wear.

In anticipation of the impending release of "Skyline", Rogue Pictures has debuted two new clips for the movie. Both videos reveal the tension after aliens begin their invasion in Los Angeles, with one snippet showing a group of people running away from a giant creature and the other clip featuring a helicopter being attacked by the monster.

While the movie is yet to open in U.S. theaters until November 12, directors Colin and Greg Strause have talked about a possibility of making a follow-up. Speaking to Film School Rejects, the filmmaker duo say the sequel will be made if the first film "makes a 'tenth' of what a normal event movie does." In the meantime, they already have 45 page treatment for the sequel.

Anna Nicole Smith's longtime doctor and friend Khristine Eroshevich has been convicted of conspiracy in the model/actress' 2007 drug death. Smith's lawyer and companion Howard K. Stern has also been found guilty on some charges at a trial alleging the pair conspired to prescribe prescription drugs to an addict.

A Los Angeles jury returned mixed verdicts on Thursday afternoon, October 28 in the two-month drug trial. The jury members found psychiatrist Eroshevich guilty of four counts of obtaining medication through fraud, but were left deadlocked on two additional charges of illegally obtaining controlled substances for an addict.

Robyn premieres an R-rated music video in support of her new single "Indestructible". It features a lot of love-making scenes which are done either by a couple or a threesome. None of those steamy scenes involve the Swedish singer though. Still, she is featured in this clip in a separate scene, wearing transparent little tubes with colorful water flowing through them.

"Indestructible" is one of the songs in "Body Talk", a third album of Robyn's 3 part trilogy, which is going to be released in the United States on November 22. An acoustic version of the track was previously included in "Body Talk Pt. 2" which has been in stores since September, roughly three months after "Body Talk Pt. 1".

Entertainment Tonight has debuted a new sneak peek video for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". Not only longer in terms of time, but also the new snippet features interviews with more cast than the previously released promo video, revealing a potential love triangle between the main characters.

Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for joint custody of teen pop superstar Miley Cyrus and her siblings after signing off on his 17-year marriage to estranged wife Leticia "Tish" Cyrus. The "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker filed for divorce in Tennessee on Tuesday, October 26, citing irreconcilable differences and he's determined not to be cut out of his kids' lives.

In court papers, Cyrus has asked to "share the care, custody and control" of Miley, 17, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10. The couple also has three adult children from previous relationships.

Mariah Carey only found out she was pregnant when she took a test to prove to gossips she wasn't expecting. The R&B superstar went public with the happy news in a series of TV chats on Thursday morning, October 28 and told "Access Hollywood Live" she only took a test because she and husband Nick Cannon were sick of reports she was with child earlier this year.

Carey explains, "They kept saying, 'Oh, she's pregnant,' and we were like, 'Ha ha, yeah, whatever,' so we took the test and it was positive." The singer then swore her husband to secrecy, "Only one other person knew about this and we were like, 'Let's not tell anybody else'."

"Falcon Crest" 's butler Chao-Li Chi has died at his home in Granada Hills, California. The 83 year old died in his sleep on October 16, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Born in China, the actor also appeared in "The Joy Luck Club" and "Wedding Crashers" and he taught tai chi at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena. Chi is best known as the butler of series star Jane Wyman's character on the hit 1980s soap.

Charlie Sheen is set for another porn star embarrassment - his hit TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men" has been turned into a hardcore sex romp. The actor recently hit the headlines after trashing a hotel room in New York during a night of passion with adult actress Capri Anderson, who locked herself in the bathroom as her date went wild.

Anderson, real name Christina Walsh, is now considering pressing charges against Sheen, claiming she feared for her life as the actor punched the door, demanding she come out of the bathroom. Tom Cruise and the cast and crew of the new "Mission: Impossible" movie are set for a new high - stunts will be filmed in the world's highest building. Scenes will be shot around Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and some of the action will take place in and on the Burj Khalifa tower, which stands tall at more than half a mile high.

Cruise tells the Associated Press, "I'll be spending many days, many hours on the side of this building. I can't give you details, but I will be up there."

Like "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes said, it's still a long way to go before Cristina is back on her feet following the season 6 finale trauma. Cristina is tested when left alone to monitor a very ill lung transplant patient. Meredith tries to help her but Cristina believes she is ruined.

Rhimes explained why Sandra Oh's character is moving at slower pace compared to her peers. "Cristina is a person who has identified herself purely a surgeon before anything else," Rhimes said. "For her to be at a place where she's not sure if she can even pick up a scalpel is devastating." However, this would be over eventually. "She has a long journey [before her]. But when she gets a little bit better, she comes roaring back," Shonda promised.

Beside putting "We R Who We R" on iTunes for purchase, Ke$ha has also released another song called "Sleazy" on the online outlet. Having "the beat so fat," the new track is listed in her upcoming album "Cannibal" and reportedly produced by Bangladesh.

American opera singer Richard T. Gill has died, aged 82. He passed away in Providence, Rhode Island on Monday, October 25 after suffering heart failure.

Gill, an economist and longtime faculty member at America's esteemed Harvard University, quit his tenured job after discovering his voice through formal vocal training, which he began as an anti-smoking regimen at age 40.

Four-time Grammy winner Christina Aguilera is such an "extreme perfectionist" she doesn't consider her career a success. The former child star has sold almost 50 million albums worldwide and won a string of awards. She's even trying her hand as an actress in new movie "Burlesque".

But the newly single 29 year old insists she won't be happy until she has achieved all her goals. Aguilera says, "There are still so many things that I've yet to accomplish, I think it's something that I do tell myself, just to stay hungry. I am an overachiever and an extreme perfectionist. I would like to do more film and I feel that I still have yet to acquire the type of success that I desire."

Gym Class Heroes rocker Travis McCoy has been arrested in Germany after spraying graffiti on the remains of the Berlin Wall. Katy Perry's ex was caught by cops tagging one of the last remnants of the historical wall late on Wednesday night, October 17 - after his band's concert at the city's Magnet Club.

McCoy was taken into custody and later released on $2,080 (GBP1,390) bail. The singer will have a hard time pleading not guilty to charges - he pre-announced his graffiti attack on his Twitter blog, writing, "The Berlin wall. I'm def gettin up on this before we leave tonight!!!"

"The Hangover" director Todd Phillips started his career luring sexual tales from members of the public on late night TV show "Taxicab Confessions". Phillips experienced his first taste of filmmaking on the long-running HBO show, driving loose-lipped passengers around New York City.

And he claims he's individually responsible for the series moving from the Big Apple to Las Vegas. Phillips tells Details, "I was an intern and HBO needed more English-speaking drivers to get people to talk about f***king, which is my specialty. So I got my hack license and did the show in New York."

Pamela Anderson has stripped down for Playboy magazine for a good cause - the actress has donated her $25,000 (GBP16,670) modeling fee to charity. The former Playmate and "Baywatch" star posed nude for the January, 2011 issue, and had the check sent directly to Waves 4 Water, a charity that distributes filters to people who don't have access to clean drinking water.

The actress tells TMZ.com: "Waves 4 water are my heroes. They get things done... and yes, Playboy wrote them a check when I shot the cover directly for 25Gs. I've also donated personally. I wish I could do more. Indonesia, Haiti and Pakistan are all in need of these filters. Spread the word!"

Beloved "Hawaii Five-O" actor James MacArthur, has died at the age of 72. MacArthur passed away on Thursday, October 28, a family representative tells People.com. Details surrounding the cause of death were not made available as WENN went to press.

The actor seemed destined for a career on the stage and screen, as the adopted son of actress Helen Hayes and her husband, American playwright Charles MacArthur, and he made his big screen debut in 1957 drama "The Young Stranger". MacArthur went on to appear in Walt Disney films "Third Man on the Mountain", "Kidnapped" and "Swiss Family Robinson", and in 1961 he made his Broadway debuted opposite a little-known Jane Fonda in "Invitation to a March".

Model-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks has been granted a permanent restraining order against a fan she alleges has stalked her since 2006. The "America's Next Top Model" host asked a judge to grant her request for a protection order against Marten Williams, Jr., who she claims is a "mentally unstable celebrity stalker" who has harassed her and members of her family for four years.

In documents filed in Los Angeles, Banks alleged the 39 year old has a history of mental illness and believes "he killed George Bush Jr. and that Michael Jackson is alive and living in Long Beach". Banks also claims Williams, Jr. has bombarded her with "ominous frightening letters and items".

Lady Antebellum have made public a music video for "Hello World", a single from chart-topping album "Need You Now". The country music band want you to smile to the world instead of letting yourself filled with frustration and hatred because in the midst of all problems that seem to get worse by day, life is actually not that bad.

"It's this guy in traffic, he's obviously havin' a horrible day, looks over and sees this little girl and it kind of brightens his day, and he's 'Hello, world, good to see you again'," Charles Kelley said as quoted by GAC News. Words on the street are Miley Cyrus has been spotted sporting a huge tattoo on her forearm when she was out with her friends at the Bourgeois Pig restaurant in Los Feliz on Tuesday, October 26. The "Hannah Montana" star drew attention not because of her super-short-mini-dress but due to her reported body art.

The tattoo allegedly stretched from Miley's left wrist to her elbow. However, it has not yet been known whether the massive piece of body art is a needlework, a temporary transfer, or a henna marking that will fade over time. The "Can't Be Tamed" crooner is no stranger to the needlework. She has tattoo on her ear which says "Love" and the phrase "Just Breathe" on her chest.

Six days after giving birth to twin sons, Celine Dion has finally revealed her babies' names. A rep for Celine told People that the "My Heart Will Go On" hitmaker and husband Rene Angelil, who are already parents to 9-year-old son Rene Charles Angelil, named their newly-born boys Eddy and Nelson.

The rep further revealed that Celine and Rene have reason behind the names. The name Eddy comes from Eddy Marnay, Celine's first five records producer. "He was like a father to her. Eddy is a major influence in both Celine and Rene's lives," the rep explained.

Tom Cruise has finally given away the official title of his fourth "Mission: Impossible" film. Though the name is quite different from the first three, it does not necessarily ditch the familiar moniker as it only omits the movie's number.

"One of the things I always wanted for the franchise was for it not to have a number afterwards," Cruise says at Doha Film Festival on Thursday, October 28. "I've never done sequels to films and I never thought of these films as sequels. Paramount has done a great job in coming up with a title, so it's not going to be MI2, 3, 4. It's going to be 'Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol'."

Officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have offered to help cash-strapped Lindsay Lohan pay for her rehab treatment if she eats a vegan diet for the remainder of her stay. The "Mean Girls" star has been in and out of jail and rehab this year and is currently serving a three-month stint at California's Betty Ford Clinic after failing two court-ordered drug tests.

Lohan's recent probation report stated the actress fears she will be unable to pay the $53,000 fees for her rehab stay because she "can not afford" it. PETA executives have now reached out to Lohan and offered a solution to her financial problem - they will give her $10,000 if she cuts animal products from her diet until she is released from rehab in January.

Former child star Charlotte Church wants to return to her classical roots - she's planning to relaunch herself as an opera singer. The "Crazy Chick" hitmaker, 24, first found fame as an 11 year old when she impressed TV viewers in Britain with her powerful vocals, and went on to achieve global fame as a classical singer.

In her late teens, Church moved into pop music and overhauled her squeaky-clean image before putting her career on hold to start a family with rugby star Gavin Henson. Rocker Chester Bennington is delighted with his latest role - he's been immortalized as a victim of twisted serial killer Jigsaw in the new "Saw" movie. The Linkin Park frontman is a huge fan of the bloodthirsty film franchise, and he jumped at the chance to play a man held in a gruesome "do or die" trap in "Saw 3D", which hits cinemas on Friday, October 29.

And the "What I've Done" hitmaker found it easy to slip into the role - he has suffered so many injuries in his life, he knows how it feels to be paralyzed by pain. Bennington tells Kerrang! magazine, "What I love about the Saw films is the incredible brutality. This is more than (Halloween killer) Michael Myers stabbing people. This is drawn-out, psychological torture where you have to hurt yourself, but it's really hard to pretend to be in agony when you're not feeling any pain."

On Thursday, October 28, a Los Angeles County jury convicted Anna Nicole Smith's psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and boyfriend Howard K. Stern of conspiring to use false names to get the actress' prescriptions, Associated Press reported. Smith's doctor Dr. Sandeep Kapoor who became third defendant, however, was acquitted on all counts against him.

Eroshevich was convicted of using a false name and misrepresentation to obtain prescriptions for the painkiller Vicodin for Smith. Meanwhile, Stern was found guilty of giving false names and acting by fraud to obtain prescriptions. Kapoor, who prescribed most of Smith's pain medications, was acquitted of all six counts.

Taylor Swift gave a talk to hundreds of schoolchildren on Wednesday, October 27, urging them to pick up books and start reading for pleasure. The country star visited the headquarters of educational organization Scholastic Inc. in New York City to address around 200 young pupils, who had been given a break from lessons to attend their idol's lecture.

Swift took to the stage and told the youngsters about her favorite novel, Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird", and encouraged them to take up reading for themselves. She said, "It doesn't have to be a big, thick, long book. You don't have to pick up something that looks scary."

Walt Disney Pictures has released a new clip from "Tron Legacy" via Apple, sharing scene which features Garrett Hedlund's Sam Flynn and Olivia Wilde's Quorra. The one-minute snippet follows the two in a Light Runner with Quorra sitting behind the wheel as they seemingly make an escape. During their way, Sam is wondering where Quorra is taking him.

At the same time, 20 minutes of the film are screened in 3-D for free during Tron Night on October 28 in several countries all around the world. The 5th International Rome Film Festival, which also hosted the screening, even recreated atmospheres of "Tron Legacy" on the red carpet at Auditorium Parco Della Musica with themed costumes and choreographies.

Rihanna has spoken of her disappointment after she was forced to miss Katy Perry's wedding at the weekend due to work commitments. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker married British funnyman Russell Brand in India on Saturday, October 23 and Rihanna, who organized Perry's bachelorette party, was expected to be a guest at the ceremony.

West's new short film "Runaway" is rumored to be about his love life with Rose, and now the 27 year old wants to tell "the world" her side of the story in a new TV project. Sharon Osbourne has fired off a foul-mouthed rant at an American journalist over an article which criticizes overweight actors on TV - calling the reporter a "discredit to other women". The rock matriarch, who has long struggled with her own weight issues, was outraged after reading an article by Maura Kelly, which was posted on MarieClaire.com on Monday, October 25.

The piece, titled Should 'Fatties' Get a Room? (Even on TV?), discusses the problem of obesity and refers to U.S. sitcom "Mike & Molly", which focuses on a couple who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous group. In the article, Kelly claims she would be "grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other..." and she finds it "aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply walk across a room".

"Big Love" is going to leave the TV screen with dignity next year. The show about a polygamist but breakaway Mormon church members family is ending its run after five seasons not because it loses viewers but because it has come full circle in the storytelling.

Creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer said that the show has run its course, stating "When we created 'Big Love' in 2002, we had a strong conception of the journey the Henrickson family would make over the course of the series, of the story we had to tell. While we were in the writers' room this year shaping our fifth season, we discovered that we were approaching the culmination of that story."

Former boxing champion Mike Tyson is urging Mel Gibson to seek professional help as he battles personal problems, insisting the actor needs "someone to talk to". Gibson has been embroiled in a public spat with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva this year over allegations he knocked out her teeth in a domestic dispute. Tapes of their bitter arguments, which later emerged online, intensified the fall out.

After long-running speculation, Mariah Carey has finally confirmed that she is having a bun in the oven with husband Nick Cannon. On NBC's "Today" show as part of a sneak peek at a three-part interview with "Access Hollywood" 's Billy Bush, Mariah said, "Yes, we are pregnant. It is true."
