Catherine Zeta-Jones Gets Emotional Onstage When Talking About Michael Douglas

Catherine Zeta-Jones fought back tears when addressing a 13,000-strong crowd during her welcome speech at a Ryder Cup concert on Wednesday night, September 29. The actress, who hit the event without her husband Michael Douglas due to his throat cancer treatment, said, "He's holding up very, very well."

"Everyone couldn't be happier with his progress. He's holding up with great strength and dignity," Catherine went on. The "Mask of Zorro" star told the audience that Michael was initially set to join her at the Welcome To Wales concert at Cardiff Millennium Stadium but later scrapped the plan due to the treatment in New York.

New Motion Poster for 'Saw 3D' Assembles Jigsaw

Another motion poster has come out for "Saw 3D". Still presented in 3-D, the one-sheet captures "the making of giant Jigsaw". The one-sheet, which boasts a tagline mentioning "The Final Chapter", also highlights a big sharp tool though it is not put on a prominent side.

"Saw 3D", which is previously known as "Saw VII", will follow a group of Jigsaw survivors who gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror, when a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy. Tobin Bell will reprise his role as serial killer John Kramer with Sean Patrick Flanery playing Dagen.

If a recent report is true, Justin Bieber might have found love in his tour's opening act, Jasmine Villegas. Us Magazine reported that Justin has asked his "My World" tour manager to keep Jasmine on the road with him, longer than she was initially scheduled.

"She was supposed to be left off the upcoming Hawaii concerts," an insider told the site. And because Justin allegedly wants Jasmine to stick around with him during the Hawaiian tour, the YouTube sensation made sure that his former "Baby" music video partner would be present in the island. The insider revealed, "But Justin wanted her there, so he made it happen."

Rocker Dave Navarro has penned an open letter to bullied teens urging them not to consider taking their own life. The Jane's Addiction guitarist has faced a series of personal tragedies, including the murder of his mother, but is advising youngsters to stay strong following a series of suicides in the U.S. linked to schoolyard bullying.

Navarro was particularly disturbed after learning about the death of 15 year old Billy Lucas from Indiana, who allegedly took his own life earlier this month after he was taunted for being gay. Now the rocker has reached out to victims of high school harassment, insisting they need to remain strong to pull through.

Actor Patrick Dempsey has taken in a giant tortoise after it was found on the side of the freeway in Las Vegas. The 83 pound (37.6 kilograms) African tortoise had been hit by a car.

The animal-loving "Grey's Anatomy" star says, "The animal rescue called and said, 'Would you take this tortoise in?' She has a bit of an eye thing and a nervous twitch but she's fine." He unveiled the animal's photo during his recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

A pre-taped episode of MTV's "Teen Mom" has led to a police investigation when officers were tipped to watch the episode on Tuesday, September 28. Amber Portwood is accused of domestic violence against her ex-fiance and father to her baby, Gary Shirley. She was seen kicking and punching Gary in the episode, all while the camera was rolling.

"We assigned an officer to it this afternoon," Lt. Paul Boulware of the Anderson Police Department said on Wednesday. Calling it a unique case, the lieutenant said, "It's a new way of receiving information. It's like a 911 call through reality TV."

The actor endured panic attacks after filming lengthy scenes locked in a coffin, and found the experience particularly disturbing when director Rodrigo Cortes started shouting orders while sand was poured on top of him.

Reynolds admits he didn't handle the situation effectively - and had to apologize to the crew after lashing out and smashing up the set. He tells Britain's The Times, "I had a few moments on set which I think were understandable, but I'm not proud of them. One time, I just completely lost my mind. I saw red."

Anna Nicole Smith's Two Cases Dismissed

The judge presiding over the Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial has dismissed two charges against the late star's companion and lawyer Howard K. Stern and doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich stand accused of providing excessive medication to the model/actress, who died from a prescription drug overdose in a Florida hotel room in 2007.

On Wednesday, September 29 Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry threw out two counts of obtaining drugs by fraud and deceit against Stern, ruling there isn't sufficient evidence. The judge allowed the majority of the 11-count complaint to go ahead. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges. The jury will return to court on Monday, October 4.

Back in July, Snooki told New York Times' Cathy Horyn that she has only read two books in her life, "Twilight" and "Dear John", which both have been turned into big screen projects. But now, the "Jersey Shore" star might add one more book to read, her own novel. On Wednesday, September 29, Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books announced that Snooki is writing her first novel.

Us Magazine reported that pint-sized glowing reality star Snooki will publish a romance novel, titled "A Shore Thing", in January 2011. According to the publisher through the press release, the book tells a story of "a girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans and fights galore)."

More detailed info on "Star Wars" 3-D release has just come out. It was previously known that the sci-fi saga will hit theaters starting 2012 and now The Hollywood Reporter reports that 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm are eying to re-release "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" in February 2012.

Specific date of "Star Wars: Episode I" 3-D release has not been announced but sources tell the site that Fox is eying a date around Valentine's Day. The other five films are expected to follow a year apart on comparable dates.
