Christopher Nolan has finally confirmed his return to the director's seat of untitled Batman 3 project. Mendes reveals he "couldn't be more delighted" to be working on the programmes, adding, "One of my earliest introductions to Shakespeare was watching the plays on TV, and it's terrific to have the opportunity to bring them to a new, wider audience."

Ryan Reynolds "freaked" out the cast and crew on his tough new movie "Buried", after breaking down and wrecking the entire set. The actor endured panic attacks after filming lengthy scenes locked in a coffin, and found the experience particularly disturbing when director Rodrigo Cortes started shouting orders while sand was poured on top of him.

Reynolds admits he didn't handle the situation effectively - and had to apologize to the crew after lashing out and smashing up the set. He tells Britain's The Times, "I had a few moments on set which I think were understandable, but I'm not proud of them. One time, I just completely lost my mind. I saw red."

On Wednesday, September 29 Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry threw out two counts of obtaining drugs by fraud and deceit against Stern, ruling there isn't sufficient evidence. The judge allowed the majority of the 11-count complaint to go ahead. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges. The jury will return to court on Monday, October 4.

Back in July, Snooki told New York Times' Cathy Horyn that she has only read two books in her life, "Twilight" and "Dear John", which both have been turned into big screen projects. But now, the "Jersey Shore" star might add one more book to read, her own novel. On Wednesday, September 29, Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books announced that Snooki is writing her first novel.

Us Magazine reported that pint-sized glowing reality star Snooki will publish a romance novel, titled "A Shore Thing", in January 2011. "The Office" won't miss the upcoming Halloween festivity. The show's official webseries will present its next episode in horror, calling it "The Third Floor". But now Lohan is making moves to create a conservatorship for the "Mean Girls" actress again, just a day after she entered rehab for the second time in a month. Josh Groban's new album features the singer's first foray into Portuguese. The singer has teamed up with Def Jam Records co-founder Rick Rubin for his fifth album "Illuminations" and it features a foreign track.

Leonard Cohen has canceled his upcoming Hawaii concert due to "insurmountable logistical issues". The "Hallelujah" singer was planning to kick off a planned five-date North American tour with a show in Honolulu, Oahu on December 4.

Instead he has now added two shows in Oakland, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. The dates will be the last of his ongoing world tour. Cohen will wrap up the pre-Christmas gigs with two concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 10 and 11.

Rapper Flo Rida turned into a diva at a music festival in Singapore over the weekend when he refused to leave his hotel room for his concert start time and then extended his set. The "Low" hitmaker was supposed to hit the stage at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center for a midnight performance as part of the two-day Avalon At Large GO! event, which was staged around the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix.

But he kept organizers waiting for over an hour when he refused to leave his hotel room. A source says, "No one had any idea why he was delaying his performance. His DJ showed up on time and in the end he had to play Flo Rida hits to keep the crowd happy."

Courtney Love has been turned into a new cartoon character in a new film by animator Michael Mouris. The filmmaker has covered Love's rise from grunge rocker to often classy fashion icon in a six-minute movie called "The Dark Night of the Soul".

Actress Minka Kelly became a Los Angeles nurse so she could pay her bills while she was chasing her modeling dreams. The caring star didn't want to waste time waiting tables while she went for talent auditions and so she spent a year working at a hospital.

More detailed info on "Star Wars" 3-D release has just come out. It was previously known that the sci-fi saga will hit theaters starting 2012 and now The Hollywood Reporter reports that 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm are eying to re-release "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" in February 2012.

Specific date of "Star Wars: Episode I" 3-D release has not been announced but sources tell the site that Fox is eying a date around Valentine's Day. The other five films are expected to follow a year apart on comparable dates.

Zac Brown Band have prevented Maroon 5 from taking the No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 200 this week. The country music band's album "You Get What You Give" opens with 153,000 copies, outperforming the Adam Levine-fronted group's "Hands All Over" which sells 142,000.

While Zac Brown and his bandmates score their best sales week, Maroon 5 fail to go near the previous opening number of their 2007 "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". Zac Brown shifted 62,000 units with 2009 "The Foundation", while Maroon 5 debuted at No. 1 in 2007 with 429,000.

Nicole Richie has brushed off reports suggesting she will be Mrs. Joel Madden by the end of the year, insisting the celebrity couple is too busy to plan a wedding. The socialite sparked rumors her big day was imminent after whisking good friends Christina Aguilera and DJ Samantha Ronson off to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico for a supposed bachelorette party earlier this month.

Hellraising rocker Ozzy Osbourne was once banned from his daughter Kelly Osbourne's school in England after farting and falling asleep in the middle of a parent/teacher conference. The reality TV star was horrified when her dad decided to join mum Sharon for a meeting with school officials about her grades - because the rocker is known for passing gas and dozing off in public.

And his smelly habit got him banned from the school for good. She remembers, "In England, my dad was banned from my school because he fell asleep at the parent teacher conference (and) because he has this thing where he doesn't realize, farting in public is usually not acceptable."

Rocker Ronnie Wood has set his sights on conquering Hollywood when he finally retires from The Rolling Stones. Actor Tom Arnold is undergoing rehab to help him detox from pain drugs prescribed to him following recent emergency colon surgery. The "True Lies" star was recently treated in secret for a perforated colon, a painful procedure that forced him to spend a month in hospital and take a cocktail of pain pills.

Arnold, 51, has battled hard to kick an addiction to alcohol and has been sober for 20 years - so he checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in California to properly wean himself off the powerful medication. The actor's spokesperson says, "He spent over a month in the hospital after emergency surgery for a perforated colon. During that time, extensive pain and anti-anxiety meds were administered."

Sir Michael Caine abandoned plans to write his first novel in 2001 after watching in horror as his plot about a terrorist attack came to life during America's 9/11 tragedy. "The Dark Knight" star admits he was left speechless when he realized he had unwittingly predicted the atrocity in his own story about an attack in his native London.

In an interview with Britain's BBC Radio 4, he says, "I had this plot where terrorists fly a plane into a London skyscraper. Then they did it in real life. I was stunned by that, so I stopped writing."

"Bonnie and Clyde" director Arthur Penn has died, just one day after celebrating his 88th birthday. The filmmaker, a veteran of World War II, passed away at his home in New York on Tuesday, September 28 after suffering congestive heart failure, according to his daughter Molly.

Penn began his Hollywood career in the 1950s with small jobs in TV before making his feature film debut with "The Left Handed Gun", starring a young Paul Newman. He quickly established himself as a top director following the success of the Oscar-nominated "The Miracle Worker" in 1962, a film adaptation of the play he had previously staged on Broadway.

Lady GaGa and Cher reportedly developed a strong bond after meeting at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. The two female artists allegedly have been toying with idea of recording a duet for GaGa's highly anticipated "Born This Way".

"They are now like mother and daughter," best-selling author Mark Bego, who has written two books about Cher, tells The National Enquirer. "They both take their outlandish fashion sense dead seriously, both have a sense of humor about themselves, and they are both staunch gay rights activists."

A bodyguard working for Drake has been accused of punching a fan at a gig in Florida after the man attempted to approach the hip-hop star. Jeremis Soriano alleges he was hit in the face by the unnamed security guard when he attempted to talk to the rapper following a concert at a nightclub in Jacksonville.

Soriano claims Drake shoved him away as he approached and when he called the star a derogatory name, the bodyguard punched him. He tells ABC Action News, "Before I got to say his name, (the bodyguard) hit me in the mouth and I fell back."

Oscar-winning moviemaker Danny Boyle is to be honored in his native U.K. with a special award at the upcoming BFI London Film Festival. The "Slumdog Millionaire" director will receive the British Film Institute (BFI) Fellowship for his contribution to the motion picture industry, following in the footsteps of previous recipients including Clint Eastwood, Sir David Lean and last year's honoree Sir Ridley Scott.

Boyle says, "A significant helping of humility is called for in the face of this honor and that is not difficult considering those awarded it before. I am shocked, flattered and delighted to receive the Fellowship on behalf of everyone who has helped me make the films, the successful ones and the not so successful ones, and on behalf of all runts in every litter."

Comedian Greg Giraldo has passed away on Wednesday, September 29, five days after he was hospitalized for an overdose. Greg, who is known for his celebrity roast appearances, died at the age of 44 after accidentally overdosing on prescription drugs.

A source close to Greg told TMZ, "Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose. His family was by his side." According to the site, plans are currently made for the late comedian's public memorial service.
