The peak season of movie in a year, when Hollywood studios are unleashing what can be called their "master pieces", has just passed. However, despite beautiful promises offered in the promotions, some of the films turned out to be disappointing.

Most of these underperforming movies still pulled in big money for the studios and debuted high at domestic box office. But these did not come along with good quality since they received negative critiques. To give a short review on films that failed to meet people's expectations, AceShowbiz presents a list of 2010 Sloppy Summer Movies.

According to Showbiz Spy, Kristen Stewart is growing tired of Robert Pattinson's possessive ways. An insider said as quoted by the site that the Bella Swan of "Twilight" movie series hates that Robert wants to be with her 24 hours a day and showers her with text messages when she's not with him.

"Kristen loves spending time with Rob. But she sometimes wishes he'd just back off," the insider claimed. "When he visits her on set, he's always by Kristen's side - and it annoys her. She's a very independent woman and is used to spending time alone. She's getting frustrated."

"Justin Bieber will make you scream," promised the latest promo of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". Bieber would be guest starring in the season 11 opener which airs September 23 as Jason McCann, a boy caught up in the middle of his brother's case.

"When we first meet Jason, we meet him at a community center where he's giving a testimonial in honor of a man who takes Jason and his older brother in when they had no one else, and that man is now in jail and Jason's brother is out for revenge and looking for payback," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said. "And the CSIs are looking for the brother and Jason is caught in the middle."

Rihanna has got a name for her next studio installment. The 22-year-old "Rated R" singer calls it "Loud" and promises to fill it with "sassy, fun, flirty, energetic" sounds, according to RihannaDaily.com.

"My first promo pic will be released tomorrow along with the single," Rihanna shared to the publication. "We need to make sure only girl goes numba 1 in alllllllll of ur countries." The first single "Only Girl (In the World)" is scheduled to make its way out on September 7 at 3 A.M. PT / 6 A.M. ET.

A new sneak peek to "Let Me In" has been presented in a TV spot. Though it mostly compiles scenes which have been seen in previous sneak peek videos, this snippet still includes some fresh footage towards the end of it when a burning room, a little girl climbing a tree in unusual speed and someone breaking a door are seen in a flash.

Coming from "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves, "Let Me In" sees twelve-year-old Owen who is alienated seeking friend in his new mysterious neighbor Abby. A frail, troubled child about Owen's age, Abby emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements.

Justin Bieber has encouraged his fans to make a closer encounter with him once they see him. During a recent interview for October issue of Teen Vogue, which will be on newsstands on September 14, the "Favorite Girl" singer said when asked about his fans who might spot him on the street, "Just talk to me. Ask me how I'm doing."

"Introduce yourself instead of yelling, 'Justin! Justin! Justin! Can I have a picture?' " Bieber explained. Still, he had to warn his fans about one thing, saying "Don't come up to me while I'm eating. How would you like it if I came into your house and started taking pictures of you while you were eating? I hate that."

Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene were spotted having a good time on the set of "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" in Paris. Shooting their scene at the Trocadero on Monday, September 6, the two young actresses along with their co-stars got drenched in the fountains.

Before soaking into the water, they filmed another scene on the second level of a double-decker. 17-year-old Cyrus and her on-screen lover Douglas Booth looked getting cozy as they were pictured embracing each other.

More and more housewives are finding doing a reality TV with other housewives is too much. The latest to quit the "Real Housewives" franchise is Danielle Staub aka the bad girl of "New Jersey" version. Bravo TV has confirmed that the reunion episode airing on Monday, September 6 was her last.

Staub has been involved in numerous feuds with the other cast throughout the first and second seasons. She was shouted at by Teresa Giudice in the first reunion episode for making a remark about her nephew. Staub walked off the set and returned to talk about the way the show is edited to make her look bad.

"Cougar Town" gave Jennifer Aniston not only a chance to reunite with her "Friends" pal Courteney Cox but also a possibility of finding a new love in her life. People reported that Aniston has shared a dinner date with the TV series' star Josh Hopkins on Friday, September 3.

Aniston and Josh were said spending a two-hour Italian dinner at Madeo in Beverly Hills. "She seemed very excited about her date. She and Josh sat at a more private table and they seemed to get along great," an eyewitness told the site. "It was obvious that they don't know each other well, but there was a flirty energy between them and Jen looked very happy."

Taylor Swift reportedly is not happy when learning that Kanye West keeps bringing up the MTV Video Music Awards incident which saw her standing in embarrassment while he rudely threw drunken rants on stage. She allegedly accused the rapper of using her name to promote his new music.

"Taylor is furious that Kanye keeps discussing the VMAs incident," a source said. "She's fed up of hearing about it and is disgusted that he has the cheek to use her name to promote his new album! Taylor has moved on from the incident and is hoping Kanye will - eventually - do the same."

Las Vegas officials have defended their decision to expedite Paris Hilton's recent release from jail, insisting the socialite needed to be discharged quickly to avoid any disruptions to normal operations.

The heiress was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession last month and taken to Sin City's Clark County Detention Center, where she waited just three hours until she was freed. The average booking time for individuals facing the same charge is six hours - but jail officials admit Hilton was given preferential treatment for her own protection.

The son of British DJ-turned-actor Goldie has been found guilty of murder. Jamie Price was involved in an altercation with rival gang member Marlon Morris, 21, outside a fast-food restaurant in Wolverhampton, England in August 2008.

Morris was knifed four times and taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from a stab wound to the heart. Price, 23, had denied murder but was convicted of the charge at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, September 6, according to West Midlands Police. Prosecutor William Coker told Nottingham Crown Court, "Jamie Price was in the Fire Town gang. He said tensions had been building between gangs."

Simon Cowell has sparked speculation he's set to leave his native Britain for good to concentrate on launching his popular singing contest "The X Factor" Stateside. The music mogul has dealt a devastating blow to TV fans after hinting the U.K. show, currently in its seventh series, won't be back next year - because he'll be too busy working on an American version.

Cowell is due to start filming the U.S. "X Factor" in September - around the same time the U.K. show typically begins airing. He says, "At the moment you are going to see me doing one show next year - and not one in England. I have a contract for this year and that is it."

Lady GaGa treated Beyonce Knowles to a cracking surprise on her birthday - by presenting her "Telephone" collaborator with a diamond-studded whip. The R&B superstar turned 29 on Saturday, September 4 and her pal Gaga ensured her day was a naughty one by ordering the custom-made leather toy and a matching lingerie set.

Gaga also treated Beyonce to an a capella rendition of "Happy Birthday" backstage at Jay-Z's concert with Eminem in Detroit, Michigan last week. A source tells Britain's The Sun, "Gaga wanted to give her something special. The whip was made out of hundreds of diamonds and leather."

Katy Perry is eyeing retirement in the English countryside, insisting it's the perfect place to raise a family with her British fiance Russell Brand. The American pop star recently announced plans to obtain dual citizenship in the U.K. and she admits she's already dreaming of buying a farm in England that she can share with the funnyman.

She tells Britain's The Sun, "I want to do something quintessentially British like buy a big farmhouse and have our children running around in the fresh air. I would want to do it properly though. I would expect Russell to be up milking the cows and collecting eggs from the chickens while I run the farm shop and bake pies."

Some new pictures from "Resident Evil: Afterlife" have been outed, giving a look at other actors from the movie. Unlike previous photos, posters as well as videos which expose Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller, the new ones highlight Spencer Locke and Boris Kodjoe.

The actress who portrays K-Mart is seen in one image, wearing a white ensemble in an all white room. Kodjoe, who just joins the cast of "Resident Evil" film franchise in the fourth installment as Luther West, is featured in three photos which show him in different actions.

British actor Martin Freeman has reportedly turned down a lead role in "The Hobbit" - so he can continue playing Sherlock Holmes' sidekick on U.K. TV.

The "Love Actually" star was approached to appear in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic novel but was forced to reject the offer because he is still under contract to play Dr Watson on the BBC's series Sherlock.

A never-before-heard track from Madonna has hit the web. Called "Broken", the leaked song reportedly comes from production hands of Paul Oakenfold who previously helped Madonna working on her latest Greatest Hits compilation "Celebration".

Words are, the song is taken from a studio session with the DJ back in 2009 and will be listed in his new album. "Don't you feel sorry for me/ 'Cause I'm right where the universe wants me to be/ A lesson that I needed to learn/ But that doesn't mean that it doesn't burn," part of the lyrics read.

Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene have bonded thanks to their upcoming movie "LOL: Laughing Out Loud". On Sunday night, September 5, the teen beauties were spotted clubbing together at hotspot VIP Room in Paris and rocking out to the beats of DJ Ruckus.

Both Miley and Ashley donned black ensembles for the night, although the "Hannah Montana" star opted a more-revealing lace top rather than the "Twilight" actress'. A source told Us Magazine that the two beauties were having a good time but didn't act "too crazy." Another eyewitness told the site, "She was with one bodyguard and two girlfriends."

"Cougar Town" has one tricky way to tease on Jennifer Aniston's upcoming appearance. Instead of giving the first look at Aniston as a shrink named Bonnie, the promos cut and mash up scenes where everybody is excited of the upcoming guest.

After successfully luring Lisa Kudrow to the show as her dermatologist, Courteney Cox finally secured a deal with her real-life BFF and "Friends" co-star Aniston to play a shrink to her character. "Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has," executive producer Bill Lawrence told EW.

British folk rocker Billy Bragg is to record a new album with country queen Rosanne Cash. Producer Joe Henry brought the "A New England" singer together with Cash at the Ludwigsburger Sclossfestspiele festival he recently oversaw in Germany, and the two singer/songwriters became fast friends.

Now Bragg has asked Henry to produce their first album together. He tells Billboard.com, "We had a great time singing together, and since then we've been plotting on trying to get into the studio together. We're all coming together in November."

Lady GaGa has made another daring pose. After going completely nude for the September issue of Vanity Fair magazine, the "Poker Face" hitmaker has now graced the cover of September issue of Vogue Hommes Japan in another wacky outfit of hers, a meat bikini.

In a red lipstick and short blonde hair, GaGa had not even one material covering her body except for the raw meats which were strategically placed to keep her nipples and lady part under wraps. GaGa admitted to the mag that she has "always been an outspoken and extreme dresser." The shot was taken by Terry Richardson.

Snoop Dogg has given an Aussie talent show winner a big career boost by including her on his next smash hit and flying her to Los Angeles for the video. "Australian Idol" winner Jessica Mauboy scored a break-out hit with "Running Back" after teaming up with Flo Rida and now another U.S. hip-hop superstar is set to collaborate with her.

She'll shoot her part for Snoop Dogg's top secret new promo later this week - and the excited young star wants to make sure she looks her best. In a tweet to fans, she writes, "I need to get a pedicure."

Soon after rounding up the main cast, "X-Men: First Class" has entered production in England. XMF reported that the movie commenced the principal photography late August at Pinewood Studios and surrounding locales in the country.

The site further informed that the first scenes being filmed see [SPOILER ALERT!] "Charles Xavier attending Oxford University [and] debating the mutant phenomenon, and Erik Lensherr dealing with the horrifying events in Auschwitz via a flashback sequence."

Pop star Pink's record-breaking 2009 concert tour of Australia has been rewarded - the "Trouble" hitmaker landed a prestigious Helpmann Award for Best International Concert on Monday, September 6. Pink beat AC/DC, Beyonce Knowles and George Michael to take home the top honor at the Sydney Opera House gala.

Other winners at the event, held to salute live performance, included Wil Anderson (Best Comedy Performer), "Jersey Boys" (Best Musical) and actor Ewen Leslie for his portrayal of "Richard III" in a Melbourne Theater Company production.

Scandal-plagued socialite Paris Hilton has been voted the worst celebrity role model in a new online poll. Three summer drug arrests, in South Africa, France and Las Vegas, have dented the heiress' reputation - and prompted Internet users to flock to WENN.com and vote in their droves in a new rubbish role models survey.

Hilton landed a comprehensive 43 per cent of all votes, destroying the competition - which includes Lindsay Lohan, who has spent time behind bars and in rehab this summer. Lohan finished second with 23 per cent ahead of "Jersey Shore" reality TV star Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi. Chris Brown came in fourth, followed by incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne.

Lindsay Lohan has been out and about after serving 13 days of 90-day sentence in jail but she has not once spoken to the media about the experience. Rumor has it, NBC will provide the platform for her by inviting the starlet to do a TV interview on "Today".

Lohan actually had "multiple offers" for the interview, TMZ reported, but it is NBC which has a strong interest in the project and has been "actively" trying to sign her. In return, Lindsay reportedly is considering "Today" despite the fact that her mother Dina Lohan messed up her interview there last month.

Actress Vanessa Paradis is playing peacekeeper between feuding French stars Gerard Depardieu and Juliette Binoche, insisting the actor admires the Oscar winner no matter what he says about her. The "Green Card" star stunned movie fans last month when he lashed out at Binoche and her talents as an actress for no apparent reason.

He told Austrian magazine Profil, "I would really like to know why she has been so esteemed for so many years. She has nothing. Absolutely nothing! She is nothing." The stunned actress responded to his hurtful rant during a British radio interview, stating, "I don't know him and I don't know what I did to him."

Jesse McCartney's fresh dance track "Shake" has been out for fans' listening pleasure. It comes out via new iPhone game Tap Tap Revenge 3 and is slated to appear in his next studio installment. He wrote on Twitter soon after the song debut, "Everybody knows-- I got the MASTER Key to that girls heart."

"I met this girl down the block from me/ Used to tell myself she was too hot for me/ But then I saw her at the corner store/ So I ran on over just to grab the door/ I got her number we started chillin," he sings. "Now I, I'm the one she can't live without/ I bet that's her right now."

When Hollywood stars were taking a break on Labor Day, some British actors spent the day promoting their film. On Monday, September 6, the cast of "Tamara Drewe" attended the U.K. premiere of the movie at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London. To fit the set of the movie which is a countryside, red carpet rolled outside the building was placed among fake grass and cattle.

Gemma Arterton, who lures men in the film, was still charming in a different way that night. She ditched her make-up to show a natural look with a simple cream dress. On the red carpet, she talked about her title character who is described undergoing plastic surgery, explaining "She's a little bit saucy and a bit promiscuous, but it was fun playing her."

Pop star Jessica Simpson has urged fans to treasure their pets on America's Labor Day, September 6 to mark the first anniversary of her Daisy Mae tragedy. The pop star's beloved Maltese terrier was snatched by a coyote outside the Simpson compound in Hollywood a year ago and Simpson is still in mourning.

In a tweet to fans, she writes, "This day last year my life changed because I lost my baby Daisy Mae - the best pup of all time... Give your dog some extra love today!" The pet was never found, despite an extensive hunt through the neighborhood. Simpson believes the coyote, which ran off with the pooch in its mouth, killed and ate it.

Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has joined the Christmas list - he's recording an album of traditional festive tunes. The rocker admits he was inspired to record an album of tinsel tunes after his version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was warmly received by fans and critics in 2009 - and now that track and others, including a reggae version of "Little Drummer Boy", will appear on a new record.

He says, "It'll be very traditional - strings, upright bass, jazz horns, piano, and guitar. I'm sort of picking various versions of these songs... my favorite versions, with a little twist."

Justin Timberlake has reopened his eco-friendly golf resort in Tennessee after spending a fortune to make it an all-green haven. The pop star closed down the luxury Mirimichi retreat in his native Memphis in January and set about improving the course's greens, bunkers and irrigation systems, and expanding the area's wetlands, wildflowers and native grasses. He relaunched the venue on Monday, September 6.

Taking to his Twitter blog, he writes, "Just cut the ribbon for the new Mirimichi Performance Center! It looks incredible... ." And Timberlake has his honor from the Gold Environment Organization (GEO) proudly on display after Mirimichi was recognized as the first green golf course in the Americas in April. He adds, "Also, just received the GEO Award for 1st certified 'green' golf course! Pretty damn cool."

Former Guns N' Roses star Duff McKagan has quit Jane's Addiction after just five months and three shows. McKagan stepped in to replace co-founder Eric Avery following his departure from the band in March and he hit the studio with new bandmates Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins to record fresh material for the reunited rockers' first album in seven years.

But the musical union didn't work out and the band has confirmed that McKagan is no longer part of their line-up. A statement from Farrell, Navarro and Perkins reads, "We wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record. We love the songs we worked on with him - and the gigs were a blast - but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best."

Actress Naomi Watts has mixed feelings when she meets up with her rock godfathers Pink Floyd because the bandmates remind her of the father she lost when she was seven. Her dad Peter was the band's road manager and sound engineer and his old pals always have new stories about his wild days whenever they meet up with Watts - but the tall tales are always tinged with sadness.

She explains, "I get a little emotional every time I see one of them (Pink Floyd bandmates), because it's like, 'Will there be another story?' I don't have that many memories of my father and I'm always sort of longing for a little anecdote relating to him. Maybe in the hope that it will tell me something about how he felt about me."

Movie icon Jean-Luc Godard has refused to travel to the U.S. for a prestigious honor from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences because he doesn't need "a bit of metal". The French film auteur was selected to receive an honorary Academy Award at the 2010 Governors Awards in November, but his wife insists the 79-year-old "Breathless" director would not be attending the prestigious event in Los Angeles.

Godard's wife Anne-Marie Mieville tells The Australian, "He just told me, 'It's not the Oscars'. At first he thought it was going to be part of the same ceremony, then he realized it was a separate thing in November. Jean-Luc won't go to America, he's getting old for that kind of thing. Would you go all that way just for a bit of metal?"

Ciara is going to perform at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles this coming Sunday, September 12 for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The R&B performer herself confirmed the news on Twitter, writing "Club Mansion was so much fun, my night couldn't have eneded (sic) any sweeter! Off 2 LA to shoot Gimmie Dat, Speechless, and Perform on the VMA's!"

The other musical guests at the upcoming event include Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, Justin Bieber, B.o.B, Usher and Paramore. Nicki Minaj will also perform, but she is tapped to sing at the pre-show.

In order to quench "Chuck" fans' thirst for the series which only returns on September 20, the producers are launching a series of webisodes that begins September 7. The title, "Chuck Presents - Buy Hard: The Jeff and Lester Story", suggestively says that the special featurettes will focus on Buy More's wacky duo.

According to IGN, the storyline is still tied to the series. In the last season finale Jeff and Lester were forced to go on the run, and the snippet for the first webisode reveals that they are still on the lam, presumably wanted by authorities. Although made fugitives, Jeffster can't distract themselves from their main mission which is to "track down a copy of a new game you just might have heard a little bit about - Halo: Reach."

One-woman act Marina and the Diamonds is inspired by Michael Jackson in "Shampain" music video. During a boozy night, the 24-year-old Welsh singer/songwriter has a weird dream of wandering around the park with female zombies following her. At one point, they even break into a dance sequence seen in the late King of Pop's legendary "Thriller" music video.

Filmed in London, the clip is directed by Kim Gehri who has directed videos for Goldfrapp, Chase & Status, and Wiley featuring Mark Ronson. "Thank you, London, for your clear sky & full moon. We made you something special," so she tweeted last month after the filming was wrapped.

Rocker Phil Collins insists he's still best friends with his ex-wife Orianne Cevey, and still doesn't know why the pair divorced. The three-times divorced former Genesis star and his Swiss ex ended their marriage in 2007, with Cevey landing staggering $37.5 million split settlement - one of showbusiness' biggest divorce payouts.

But the drummer insists there are no hard feelings between the pair and admits he still loves his former partner, who he regularly introduces as his closest pal. He even offers her advice on her problems with her new husband.

Rockers Metallica are refusing to let New Zealand's recent earthquakes stop them from performing for fans there. Devotees feared three big quakes over the past five days, including a 7.1-magnitude one that hit the country's South Island, would prompt Metallica to postpone two sold-out shows set for Christchurch later this month.

But the band insists the shows at the CBS Canterbury Arena - close to the epicenter of the earthquakes - will go ahead as planned on September 21 and 22. Engineers are currently assessing the 9,000-capacity venue for damage, but bosses insist it doesn't appear the arena has been damaged at all.

Universal Music executives are facing a multi-million dollar pay out to Eminem's former publishing company after losing an appeal in a long-running dispute over royalties. In 2009, FBT Productions bosses claimed Universal owed the "Stan" hitmaker $1.47 million in damages because executives had failed to pay the star for music downloads.

The case was heard in a California court in March 2009, but a judge dismissed FBT's argument and ruled in favor of Universal. The publishing firm's owners appealed the decision and, on Friday, September 3, Central District of California court Judge Silverman reversed the previous ruling, declaring Universal bosses will have to pay FBT a substantial amount in compensation, although the exact amount had not been revealed as WENN went to press.

Bob Dylan has failed to win over art critics in Denmark after a series of his paintings went on display at a museum in Copenhagen - one expert has dismissed the singer as an "amateur". The Brazil Series exhibition, which features 40 of Dylan's specially created acrylic paintings, opened at the National Gallery on Friday, September 3 but the 69-year-old star's efforts have been panned in the local press.

One Berlingske Tidende critic writes, "When we talk about music, Bob Dylan is one of the great Picassos of the 20th century, but this is not the case for his painting." Meanwhile, art history professor Peter Brix Soendergaard tells the Information paper, "Bob Dylan paints like any other amateur, using a rather oafish figurative style. He is what we used to call a Sunday painter."

Actor Balthazar Getty helped newlywed pal James Van Der Beek celebrate his recent nuptials and impending fatherhood on Sunday, September 5 by throwing a special dinner party at his Hollywood Hills mansion. The former "Dawson's Creek" star wed Kimberly Brook in a private ceremony in Tel Aviv, Israel in August, and the couple decided to share its joy with close pals at a second celebration in Los Angeles at the weekend.

"Brothers & Sisters" star Getty and his wife Rosetta stepped in to act as hosts and they opened their home to Van Der Beek and Brook's family and friends, including Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Guests at the low-key event were treated to sushi, mini burgers and salad. A source tells People.com, "The party was very small and intimate... James and Kim were glowing. Despite being about to burst, Kim looked amazing."

Director Terry Gilliam has opened up about the extent of the "financial hiccup" which has threatened to derail plans for his troubled Don Quixote movie, confessing the investment completely "collapsed" earlier this summer. The filmmaker has spent more than a decade trying to get the picture into production but the project has been dogged by disasters from the outset.

He revived the movie, originally titled "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote", earlier this year, casting "Star Wars" actor Ewan McGregor to take over from first choice Johnny Depp, who was forced to quit the job due to scheduling conflicts after the initial string of delays. Robert Duvall is set to replace French star Jean Rochefort as Quixote.

Kourtney Kardashian has spoken out about swirling rumor suggesting her relationship with boyfriend Scott Disick was on the rocks. During a party for her swimwear line, Beach Bunny Swimwear, in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 5, the reality TV star told People, "It's ridiculous."

"All the [rumors] you just have to laugh at," Kourtney added during the Hard Rock Hotel event. "We've been working on our relationship and we're doing the best that we can. We're in a really good place right now and taking it day by day and it's good."

Miranda Cosgrove spent the recent Labor Day on September 6 by taking the stage of Rockefeller Center for summer concert series of "Today" show. The "iCarly" star wore black outfit and rocked her songs such as "Kissin' U" and "BAM".

A day before performing, Cosgrove did rehearsal with her band. She wrote on Twitter, "Last day before the concert on the Today Show tomorrow! If only I could learn to breakdance before tomorrow..." On early Monday, she added, "It's insanely early but I'm so pumped! Can't wait to perform today. Thanks for all the nice messages about the Today Show this morning! Means so much to me."

There's a word buzzing around out there that Robert Pattinson is a guest star on the season finale of "Entourage". The "Big Easy" actor became hooked on cocaine in the 1970s and ended up in California's St John's hospital for several weeks in a bid to conquer his demons.

And Quaid considers himself a trailblazer as he was "one of the first" to seek help at a dedicated treatment facility after experiencing an out-of-body experience. He tells Britain's The Times, "St John's hospital. I was in there for 28 days - one of the first people ever to go into rehab. Before they advertised it, before people did it to be chic."

Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has set up her own record label so she can release her debut solo album. The singer has been working on her own material since her bandmates - Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - agreed to go on hiatus last year.

Coyle has signed a deal to stock her record "Insatiable" exclusively in U.K. supermarket chain Tesco, and will be putting the disc out through her own label - Black Pen Records - in November. Jerry Hall has opened up about her troubled marriage to Sir Mick Jagger in her new book, blaming The Rolling Stones singer's affairs for their woes. John Travolta has decided to drop charges against a former paramedic and his attorney who were accused of trying to extort $25 million from the actor following his son's death in January 2009 in the Bahamas, People reported. British rocker Pete Doherty is facing fresh calls for cops to re-open a probe into the death of a man who plunged from a balcony minutes after a bust-up with the star. Police investigated after actor Mark Blanco toppled from the railings of an apartment block in east London in December 2006 after he was thrown out of a bash attended by The Libertines frontman Doherty.

Officers eventually ruled out suspicious circumstances, insisting Mr Blanco had either committed suicide or plunged to his death as he tried to jump on to a nearby lamp-post. But the man's mother Sheila Blanco is now pressing cops to re-open their probe, claiming medical records prove her son was unconscious when he toppled from the ledge.

Ridley Scott is apparently looking for a female star for its upcoming project "Alien". In an interview with Sunday Times, Gemma Arterton says that the helmer wants to have a meeting with her for the prequel to the 1979 film.

"Ridley Scott saw '[The Disappearance of] Alice Creed' and loved it. He wants me to meet for 'Aliens: The Remake', or something," the actress states. Since this casting is still in very early stage, there has been no further detail on the role that may be tackled by Arterton.

We the Kings are kidnapped by their obsessed fan in a music video for their latest single "Promise the Stars". The fan played by comedian Casey Webb first abducts the frontman Travis Clark before then taking the rest members of the band to his basement.

"Promise the Stars" is lifted from We the Kings' second studio effort "Smile Kid" which has been in stores since December last year. The album has Demi Lovato as the only featured guest in "We'll Be a Dream" and is led by single "Heaven Can Wait" which hit over 30 Top 40 stations in the first two weeks of release.

Famed wrestler Hulk Hogan was rushed to hospital on Monday, September 6 after allegedly experiencing "excruciating back pain". The 57-year-old former reality TV star was hospitalized at local hospital in Clearwater, Florida, TMZ reported.

According to the site, Hulk's girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, was the one who called the ambulance after learning that the wrestler wasn't able to get out of bed. Sources said that Hulk is still currently in hospital to undergo tests.
