Unlike the recent Primetime Emmy Awards which had its host Jimmy Fallon going "Glee" with a musical number, the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards will try something different. Claiming that the previous VMAs already had enough singing and dancing, host Chelsea Handler reasoned she doesn't have "the kind of ass that should be mooned."

Instead of exploring her singing and dancing skill, Handler will stick to what she is good at, comedy, in hopes to bring laughters to the Los Angeles' Nokia Theater. "I'm there to be funny, kind of, so hopefully I'll just kind of doing that," she said of what people should expect from her at the September 12 live ceremony.

Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick are hard at work filming "Gossip Girl" in the Upper East Side, Manhattan. Meester who plays Blair Waldorf was like a walking fashion for she went through several wardrobe changes during the Friday, September 3 filming.

The fourth season of "Gossip" however, will not take place in New York City. Some of the cast such as Westwick and Lively had spent several days in Paris, France to shoot for the first few episodes. "It's just such a beautiful, magical city and New York has that old European vibe already, it has that history, but it's still the States," Lively said, recalling the experience.

An international trailer for "Love and Other Drugs" has been made available for viewing pleasure, showing the real issue in the movie which is new lovebirds who are threatened to be separated by the woman's health scare. The sultry side of Jake Gyllenhaal's Jamie is additionally highlighted in the first few seconds of the trailer when he is seen hooking up with a number of different girls.

HBO, the home to Emmy Awards-winning telepics "Temple Grandin" and "You Don't Know Jack", will soon debut its latest project called "My Trip to Al-Qaeda". A combination of documentary and stage performance, "My Trip" chronicles Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Lawrence Wright's exploration of modern terrorism.

According to the press release, "My Trip" explores the moral dilemmas Wright encountered while researching his bestselling book "The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11." It will shed light into fundamentalist Islam's rise to power, as well as Wright's struggle to maintain objectivity as a journalist in the wake of 9/11.

Kanye West wished his fans a happy great weekend on G.O.O.D Fridays, September 3 by posting a brand new track on his official blog. It's titled "Devil in a New Dress" and instead of trading verses with A-list guests like he did in "Monster", the rapper rides solo in this fresh tune.

First official image of "Source Code" has come out via Empire Magazine and Wet Dark and Wild has posted the scan of the photo. It gives the first look at Jake Gyllenhaal's Colter, a military man who wakes up in the body of a civilian experiencing a terrorist bombing. He must live through repetitions of the event to find out who was responsible.

Before he could find an answer, "things change in such a dramatic way, he doesn't know whether the train's real or not," director Duncan Jones said in the magazine interview. The English filmmaker went on gushing, "When it was brought to me it was serious, quite cerebral, dark and depressing. My take was, 'This could actually be quite fun...' "

Former Guns N' Roses star Steven Adler has issued a challenge to fellow rocker Nikki Sixx - lose the gut with a diet plan. Adler claims the Motley Crue star has replaced his former drug addiction with a new love of food - and he thinks Sixx would be the perfect spokes model for Slim Fast.

The Gossip star Beth Ditto is planning to start a family with her girlfriend within the next year. The lesbian icon, 29, insists motherhood is the next thing on her priority list after she launches her new plus-size clothing line.

Moviemaker John Woo has picked up his second major film honor of the summer - the director was awarded a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival in Italy on Friday, September 3.

Woo, famous for his blockbuster actions films, was honored in his native Hong Kong for his contribution to the movie industry there in July. The "Face/Off" director received the Silver Bauhinia Star in recognition of his efforts to boost Chinese cinema.

The new "Dancing with the Stars" pairs put on their best poses in the dancing costumes for the promotional photos of season 11. Bristol Palin had said before that she would wear the most conservative costume in the show's history but the final result proved otherwise.

"We did our title shoot today so I got all glammed up and stuff, but I'm definitely excited to wear all those," the 19-year-old who is paired with Mark Ballas said in an interview with Us Magazine. "I know that mine will be the most conservative and I will be the most dressed. That's because that's how I am and that's how I want to dress. But it'll be good, all the rhinestones and spray tans, that will be fun."

The widow of TV mogul Aaron Spelling has won a restraining order against a man she has accused of stalking her at her multimillion dollar Los Angeles mega-mansion. Candy Spelling, mother of reality TV star Tori Spelling, was awarded the protection order on Thursday, September 2 after her lawyer filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming Diyahmi Farrakhan Muhammad had been caught trespassing on the Holmby Hills estate at least nine times in recent months.

The 38 year old was most recently found on the grounds of the Beverly Hills home on Tuesday, August 31 and taken into custody by police. He has since been placed on psychiatric hold, reports TMZ. According to the legal papers, Spelling alleges Muhammad "delusionally believes he personally knows and communicates with the Spellings" and insists the late Aaron contacted him "through the television" and invited him to live at the property.

The man who sparked a panic at Paris Hilton's home in Hollywood last week by attempting to break-in while the socialite was sleeping has pleaded not guilty to a felony burglary charge. Nathan Lee Parada entered his plea in Los Angeles on Friday, August 3 and is now scheduled to return to court on September 15 for a preliminary hearing. He is expected to remain behind bars until then.

Parada was arrested by police outside Hilton's home on August 24. She tweeted about the incident, writing "So scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes."

U.S. funnyman Jason Sudeikis has confirmed he's dating "Mad Men" pin-up January Jones, insisting the pretty blonde is a "great" girlfriend. The two 30-somethings have been coy about their relationship and she recently denied his claims that he had seen her naked.

The "Saturday Night Live" regular, who was previously linked romantically to Jennifer Aniston, says, "We're dating, she's great. I'm very happy with everything."

Mariah Carey set the record straight on "Merry Christmas II You" which was widely believed as the name of her upcoming studio album. The rumored title was first spread by Rap-Up and quickly picked up by music bloggers, including her husband Nick Cannon who posted it on his Twitter.

Taylor Lautner found victory over his legal battle against California-based McMahon's RV. The Jacob Black of "Twilight" movie series settled his lawsuit as the company was willing to pay the actor $40,000 for failing to deliver his trailer on time.

However, Lautner wouldn't use the money for his own because he was determined to give it all for charity. His attorney, Robert Barta, told Us Magazine, "McMahon's RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon's RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children's charity with which he has a long-standing relationship."

Tattoo artist-to-the-stars Kat Von D has fallen head over heels for TV mechanic Jesse James, confessing she's already "in love" with Sandra Bullock's cheating ex after just weeks of dating. The inked-up couple was first romantically linked in August when revelers spotted the pair enjoying a night out in Las Vegas.

Von D confirmed the news of the romance in a post on her Twitter.com page, telling her followers, "Yes, Jesse and I are dating", before deleting the message soon afterwards. "Gone with the Wind" child star Cammie King Conlon has lost her battle with lung cancer at the age of 76. The former actress, born Eleanore Cammack King, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 1 at her home in Fort Bragg, California.

Conlon landed the tragic role of Bonnie Blue Butler - the daughter of the 1939 film's lead characters Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara - at the age of four. She went on to voice characters in Disney's 1942 film "Bambi", but her career ended almost as soon as it had begun after her mother pulled her out of Hollywood.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt is calling on controversial German anatomist Gunther von Hagens to immortalize the ailing actress' body after she dies. The ageing star, 93, has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip at the couple's Beverly Hills home in July and friends, fans and family members fear she is facing her final days.

But Gabor's legacy will live on, if von Anhalt gets his way - he wants her remains to be preserved by plastination, according to Germany's Bild newspaper. And he wants von Hagens, the man behind the controversial Body Worlds exhibitions, to perform the preservation procedure.

"American Pie" actor Chris Klein pleaded no contest to DUI during a court hearing in a Van Nuys, California court on Friday morning, September 3. People reported that Klein was sentenced to four days in prison which he had already served, and also a four-year probation. Besides, he was also ordered to complete 18-month alcohol education class and to pay fines.

During the sentencing, Klein apologized for his second DUI in five years. The 31-year-old actor told Judge David B. Gelfound, "I apologize for my wrongdoing and I really appreciate that the court gave me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this."

The first promo of "Grey's Anatomy" for the seventh season has been aired on ABC but it contains no footage from the new season. Instead, it recaps what happened to several relationships between the Seattle Grace docs in the sixth season and how they have changed their lives.

As Shonda Rhimes has hinted before, the new season will be kicked off with a happy storyline as a redemption for last season's finale where people die in a hostage situation. "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" sticks to its September 24 U.S. release schedule amid the health issue of its lead actor Michael Douglas. Now a sneak peek to the film has been provided in a new clip which is debuted via Yahoo! Movies and sees a scene set at what looks like a gala dinner.

Emma Watson has sunk her teeth into the "Twilight" movies - insisting the final "Harry Potter" films will not be "selling sex" like the vampire franchise. After rolling through a stop sign once she got her driving license back following her jail and rehab stint, Lindsay Lohan caused another trouble on the street. Eyewitnesses told Radar Online that they saw the troubled actress accidentally hit a woman pushing a stroller with the baby in it before deciding to flee.

More and more scenes from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" have been previewed in pictures to tease fans. One of the new images gives a look at Harry, Hermione and Ron on the road. Another one shows the title character looking at his reflection in a mirror, while the other photo sees him walking through the darkness with a light from his wand.

Serving as the latest installment of "Harry Potter" film franchise, "Deathly Hallows" will be split into two parts. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" is due November 19 in both the U.S. and U.K., while "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" is set for July 15, 2011 release.

Amid the reports that Jennifer Lopez has been sealed as the new "American Idol" judge, Kara DioGuardi announced that she's leaving the post. In an official statement released on Friday, September 3, DioGuardi did not give any reason why she is leaving and preferred to take something positive out of it by hinting that it was her choice.

She left the company in 2007 to sign another multi-million agreement with Island Records, which came to an abrupt end a year later after the release of just one disc.

Jackson is taking time away from the music scene to concentrate on her movie career, but when she returns, the singer is open to taking complete control of her musical releases - despite interest from the industry's major players.

Supermodel Bridget Hall has denied she was caught drunk behind the wheel of her car - insisting a breath-test machine used by cops was faulty. The catwalk beauty was driving through East Hampton, New York in the early hours of Sunday morning, August 29 when her vehicle was stopped by officers.

She was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and is due to appear in court on September 30. But Hall is adamant she had not touched a drop of alcohol before driving - and insists a breathalyser machine used by police must have been broken. I did not drink - I would never drink and drive, God forbid that I would ever hurt anybody. I respect the law. I was tired and that was it."

Michael Lohan is determined to see some good come from his daughter Lindsay Lohan's personal problems - she's inspired him to open a rehabilitation center. The "Mean Girls" actress completed a court-ordered stint in rehab last month after she was jailed for 90 days in July for violating her probation over a 2007 DUI arrest.

Her father has frequently spoken out about his daughter's troubles, insisting receiving professional help is the only way to beat her demons. Now he wants to help others in a similar situation - by launching a rehab clinic specializing in "spiritual" healing rather than medical treatment.

Paul Hogan has worked out a deal with Australian tax authorities allowing him to return to his home in Los Angeles. The "Crocodile Dundee" star had been barred from leaving the country over an unpaid multi-million dollar tax bill. He was served with an Australian Taxation Office order last month after jetting back to Sydney to attend his mother's funeral.

He was accused of using offshore bank accounts to conceal his earnings and was said to owe $32.1 million. The 70 year old's attorney reveals Hogan has since reached an agreement with officials during a "cordial and co-operative" meeting.

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has officially ended her marriage to England footballer husband Ashley Cole. Associated Press reported that London's High Court Family Division granted Cheryl a divorce on Friday, September 3.

Both Cheryl and Ashley didn't attend the London court hearing where District Judge Christopher Simmonds granted the then-couple a decree nisi. Cheryl and Ashley must now wait six weeks before a decree absolute is issued, officially ending their union.

"Transformers 3" has wrapped the production in Chicago earlier. The movie was scheduled to shoot the final scenes at Millennium Park on Thursday, September 2, but it was postponed due to an accident involving an extra on Wednesday. Now, it has been reported that the plan is canceled after all.

" 'Transformers [3]' has completed their filming in Chicago," Richard Moskal, director of the Chicago Film Office in the Mayor's Office of Special Events, says as quoted by Los Angeles Times. "The filming that was canceled [Thursday] was not rescheduled."

Selena Gomez goes to the desert in a music video for her latest single "A Year Without Rain". It kicks off with her driving in a convertible with her band The Scene. The sun is blazing hot as she climbs out the car and sings her heart out about missing the person she loves.
