Rapper Nas, Joe Cocker, Chris Cornell and The Doors' keyboard player Ray Manzarek have teamed up with guitar great Carlos Santana for his new album of classic rock anthems.

Nas performs AC/DC's "Back in Black" with Santana, while Cocker tackles Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" and Soundgarden frontman Cornell provides vocals on a rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love". Manzarek joins Santana for a new take on The Doors' "Riders on the Storm", and the guitarist insists the updated version of the song is "really far out and psychedelic".

Nick Jonas has signed up to appear on the West End stage for a three-week run in June, according to a revered London theater producer. The Jonas Brothers singer is already a Broadway stalwart, having performed in a range of productions on the New York stage as a child before embarking on a pop career with his siblings.

He previously appeared in "Les Miserables" in 2003, and is now set to return to the musical to play Marius in the British capital. Jonas will appear at the British capital's Queen's Theater from June 21 for a three week run, according to theater impresario Sir Cameron Mackintosh.

Leona Lewis' hopes of touring America have been given a boost. R&B star Toni Braxton is eager to embark on a trek with the British singer.

The "Bleeding Love" hitmaker had signed up to open for Christina Aguilera on her U.S. summer jaunt, but was left with a free schedule after the "Dirrty" hitmaker postponed the dates to afford her more rehearsal time.

A judge has refused to grant Mindy McCready's request for a court order to prevent her mother talking to the press. The star, who has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, was reportedly found unconscious at her mum's home in Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday morning, May 25.

Her mother, Gayle Inge, called for help, suggesting the singer had attempted to commit suicide. The singer's spokesman, Brent Young, has since played down the incident, revealing McCready simply experienced a bad reaction to the pain pills she had been prescribed after breaking her toe on Sunday, May 23.

British actor Dominic Cooper is putting off moving out of the home he shares with best pal James Corden, because he'll miss the funnyman when he lives on his own. The "Mamma Mia!" star has spent several years cohabiting with Corden, since the pair became close after landing roles in the original production of Alan Bennett's hit play "The History Boys" in 2004.

Cooper, who has reportedly split from girlfriend Amanda Seyfried, has now purchased his own house on the same street as Corden's pad in London. But he has so far refused to move into his new home, fearing he'll be too lonely without his friend.

Lindsay Lohan's embattled parents Michael Lohan and Dina Lohan have made amends by holding a meeting to discuss their troubled daughter. The former couple has been at loggerheads ever since Dina took Michael to court in 2009, accusing him of failing to keep up with his child support payments.

In recent months, Michael has been calling for Lindsay to be sent to rehab to overcome an alleged painkiller addiction and he has been demanding a meeting with Dina to discuss their troubled family situation. The pair has now met up, along with their attorneys, just days after their eldest daughter was confined to California and ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet in a probation hearing on Monday, May 24, stemming from a 2007 arrest.

"Scream 4" has cast a young star to play one of the major characters. Entertainment Weekly reports that Emma Roberts has signed on to portray Jill, one of the film's primary heroines. Her role is said to be similar to the one belongs to Neve Campbell in the previous "Scream" flicks.

"I'm so excited to be part of this ground-breaking franchise. It's the perfect opportunity for me to do something completely different than I've ever done before," Roberts says on her involvement in the upcoming project. Director Wes Craven adds, "Emma's talent, beauty, and range will add immensely to the sophistication, intensity, and fun of the 'Scream' franchise as it returns to the screen once more."

In a preview of "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami", the Kardashian sisters cause a scene during a photoshoot of their DASH boutique promo. Khloe Kardashian is pissed when Kourtney Kardashian tells her to pull it up together and be "professional" for five minutes.

Khloe who is visibly not happy since the make up was applied, snaps "Oh I forgot you're such a mom. Your life is so perfect, you've never been drunk. You used to be the party queen, so shut the f**k up, don't be a hypocrite." In a solo testimony Khloe explained her outburst, saying she was naked, pressed to girls she didn't even know and was irritated that her sister was yelling at her.

Mischa Barton has accidentally flashed her pants while she was taking a break in Spain. Looking beautiful in her floral dress and pumps, the 24-year-old actress could only draw snappers' attention on her red polka-dot pants as a gust of wind left her exposed.

This wasn't Mischa's first faux pas. On May 20, while attending the 2010 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS benefit at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, in Cap d'Antibes, southern France, Mischa looked lovely in her ruffled white gown. However, the view from the rear left something to be desired.

Ashton Kutcher has taken aim at his pop idol Prince for replacing his hits with improvised jazz sessions at his concerts - because he just wants to hear the hitmaker perform "Purple Rain".

The actor was thrilled when he heard Prince would be performing at the recent Time magazine Most Influential People gala - but was disappointed when the superstar hit the stage. He says, "Prince makes me so mad. I like Prince but he does this thing, like, he doesn't wanna play any of his hits and so he does, like, these two-hour jazz interludes, where it's just the band and he, like, goes off to the side."

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has launched an organization to help protect endangered tigers. The "Titanic" star has joined forces with the World Wildlife Fund to create Save Tigers Now, with the aim of raising $20 million for the cause.

DiCaprio, who is currently in Asia learning about the declining number of the species, also hopes to double the population of the big cats by 2022. He says, "Tigers are endangered and critical to some of the world's most important ecosystems. Key conservation efforts can save the tiger species from extinction, protect some of the planet's last wild habitats and help sustain the local communities surrounding them."

Several official pictures from "Resident Evil: Afterlife" have been released, but none of them features Jill Valentine. Now, Shock Till You Drop (SYTD) has got its hand on the first look at the character played by Sienna Guillory through pictures of new footage shown during a presentation attended by director Paul W.S. Anderson.

"[The image is] from a conference thing that Anderson did (he's in the chair on the stage) showing new footage (I believe in Japan)," SYTD reader DJBlack claims as quoted by the site. "The woman on the screen is Sienna [Guillory] as JILL (as the "Birdlady"...notice the scarab control device on her chest!!)."

Actress Katherine Heigl is considering joining Nicole Kidman in Nashville, Tennessee to help her husband Josh Kelley launch a career as a country singer. The former "Grey's Anatomy" star has shot to fame since her breakthrough movie role in 2007 hit "Knocked Up", landing parts in romantic comedies including "The Ugly Truth", "27 Dresses" and new film "Killers".

Heigl admits she has her worries about moving states but insists it's all part of becoming a mature adult.

British actress Emma Watson is so devastated the "Harry Potter" franchise is ending, she feels like a friend is dying. The star, who has played Hermione Granger in all the wizard films since 2001, is currently shooting the franchise's final scenes, and Watson admits she'll feel lost when filming wraps.

She says, "None of us could say that we predicted this kind of love and recognition. It's just incredible. I'm just so unbelievably proud to have been part of this. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world."

"The Hobbit" will not be filmed any time soon. In contrary to previous reports which mention that the movie will commence production in November, Guillermo del Toro has just stated at a press conference for his latest production "Splice" that the upcoming adventure movie has not got a green light.

"It's not greenlit," helmer of "The Hobbit" admits. "That's categorical... We've been caught in a very tangled negotiation... There cannot be any start dates until the MGM situation gets resolved. They do hold a considerable portion of the rights."

The first of four videos that Lil Wayne is going to release this weekend has been premiered. Picked as the leader is "Da Da Da" which features Hip-Hop group iMayday!. It sees the rapper going up the roof and drawing attention from the street for his impromptu performance.

Directed by David Rousseau, the music video was shot in February at the Marlin Hotel in Miami during a filming marathon for a dozen of videos before Weezy went to jail for a weapon-possession charge. "...the point is to keep Wayne [visible] on TV and everything for whatever time he's in. There was a plan in action," Rousseau who foresees all the four videos said.

"Ghost Whisperer" is officially dead. Post canceled by CBS following a streak of mild rating, the show starring Jennifer Love Hewitt was said to be considered by ABC. However, the latest news revealed that even the Alphabet is not interested to keep the show in business.

"After five wonderful seasons and over 100 episodes, we are disappointed to announce 'Ghost Whisperer' will not be returning for a sixth season," executive producers Kim Moses and Ian Sander said in a statement Thursday, May 27. "We've had an incredible experience and owe a debt of gratitude to everyone involved."

Crystal Bowersox's fans might be wondering why she wasn't accompanied by his boyfriend Tony during "American Idol" final show. And the talent search contestant has revealed why, saying that he split from him on the morning of the final performances.

Talking to Ryan Seacrest and Kara DioGuardi on his radio show, runner-up Crystal said, "He's driving somewhere. Big Tony... he went home. He wasn't cool with the lifestyle." The 24-year-old beauty further explained, "I didn't break up with him... it was a mutual thing."

Soul star Maxwell has been forced to delay the release of his new album - because 2009 "BLACKsummers'night" is still a big hit with fans. The singer's last release - his first in eight years - was critically acclaimed and was named Best R&B Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards.

The Simpsons' dumb dad Homer Simpson has topped a new list of the best TV and movie character of the last 20 years. The yellow cartoon character with a love of doughnuts beat out boy wizard Harry Potter and Sarah Michelle Gellar's TV vampire slayer Buffy to take the top spot on the new Entertainment Weekly magazine countdown.

Tony Soprano and "Batman" villain The Joker round out the top five, while Jennifer Aniston's "Friends" character Rachel Green, Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands, Hannibal Lecter, Carrie Bradshaw and Spongebob Squarepants made the top 10.

Lindsay Lohan must check in nightly with her probation officer to find out if she's required to undergo a drug test the following day. The "Mean Girls" star was ordered to abstain from alcohol and illegal substances for the foreseeable future, wear a drug and alcohol-detecting device and submit to random drug tests following a probation hearing on Monday, May 24.

Judge Marsha Revel also insisted Lohan stay in Los Angeles after the actress missed a mandatory court appearance on May 20 because she was stranded in Europe without a passport. The probation stems from a 2007 arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).

Funnyman Jonah Hill once mistook Casey Affleck for a drunken pal in a hotel restroom - and made the actor pee all over himself. The "Superbad" star was partying at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel years ago when he decided to play a trick on his friend Schmidt when he spotted him at a urinal during a trip to the toilet.

He says, "We used to play this game called earthquake, which is where you violently shake whoever is peeing at the urinal and scream out 'earthquake' as loud as you can." He then continues sharing, "So Schmidt's peeing there and I'm really drunk and I grabbed his shoulders... and I'm screaming, 'Earthquake, earthquake,' and pee is flying all over him and everything."

"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe fears he won't be the last kid to play the boy wizard. He has a sneaking suspicion the franchise will be re-imagined for a new generation when he's in his 50s. The young Brit worries that movie executives won't be able to resist remaking the Potter films as J.K. Rowling's hit books continue to top bestseller lists around the world.

He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "The books will be around for decades to come which makes me wonder if, in 30 years time, we will be seeing remakes of all these movies. I have a very dark suspicion that that will happen, although I don't particularly want it to."

Doug Reinhardt has surely gotten over his recent split from Paris Hilton. On Thursday, May 27, the 24-year-old actor was snapped shopping at the Fred Segal store with his new girlfriend. Eminem gives the rough idea of what his next album will be like in the revelation of the tracklisting. "Recovery" surprisingly only has one rapper in the guest list, Lil Wayne. Robert Pattinson has shown the world his artistic side. The 24-year-old heartthrob created his original art, which he added with his autograph, in a bid to save missing kids through PACT's [Parents and Abducted Children Together] auction.

Robert's original sketch for PACT's auction benefiting missing children is said receiving the most bids in the auction on the eBay page. His drawing shows scribbles inside the balloon outline, while the balloon itself has become the symbol of International Missing Children's Day, which was on Tuesday, May 25.

20th Century Fox has shared other sneak peeks to "Knight & Day" by releasing a new international trailer and a clip. The trailer opens with scenes which have been previewed in the previously released sneak peek videos. During the second half of the video, however, many fresh footage set in Spain can be seen.

In the meantime, the clip which makes its way out via The Sun follows Tom Cruise who is involved in an action in a plane until he lands the aircraft on a farm. The video is then ended with a quick look at random scenes from the film.

Actor Terrence Howard's new wife is an old friend he reconnected and fell in love with after the death of his beloved mother in 2008. The "Iron Man" star, 40, recently let slip he's a married man after exchanging vows with Michelle Ghent in a small Los Angeles ceremony in January.

The news emerged just months after he split from his actress fiancee Zulay Henao, his co-star in 2009 movie "Fighting", and reports suggested his nuptials with Ghent occurred after a whirlwind romance. But Us Weekly magazine reports Howard has known Ghent for years - and he grew close to the 33-year-old while he was mourning the passing of his mum Anita.

Damon Albarn wants to recruit The Velvet Underground rocker Lou Reed to join him on the Glastonbury stage this summer. The Blur frontman is set to headline the famed U.K. festival with his band Gorillaz after U2 pulled out of the slot due to singer Bono's back surgery.

He's hoping to pull off his most impressive Gorillaz set to date - by drafting in some of the artists who appeared on their latest album, including Reed, to sing at Glastonbury. Albarn says, "I just hope we can convince Lou Reed and he grasps that it's a real privilege to get the chance to do it. Then we'd have a complete house and that really would be amazing."

A new single of Vampire Weekend which is entitled "Jonathan Low" has been made available for listening pleasure via Consequence of Sound. The song is included in "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" soundtrack album which will hit U.S. stores on June 8.

"Jonathan Low", which was recorded by Ezra Koenig and his bandmates in the end of 2009, is an elaborately orchestrated song with a surprisingly dominant 12-string guitar. The band describes the track "as a curve ball of sorts, a stark contrast from some of its other more recent material."

Rocker Sting is returning to Broadway, he's working on a musical for the New York stage. The former The Police's frontman, 58, has confirmed rumors he's teamed up with Tony Award-winning songwriter Brian Yorkie to pen his first Broadway project, but admits the final product is still a while away because they've yet to settle on one idea.

He tells People magazine, "We're in the very early stages of thinking about what a show could be like. I'm working with Brian Yorkie." Sting is no stranger to the Broadway stage, he starred in a production of "The Threepenny Opera" in the late 1980s.

The hotly-anticipated reunion of legendary 1970s band The Faces is set to be a star-studded affair, Slash, Noel Gallagher, and Chris Robinson want to join the group onstage. Guitarist Ronnie Wood announced this week that former Simply Red's frontman Mick Hucknall has agreed to step in to take Rod Stewart's place and join Wood, Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan to reunite the band for a gig in the U.K. in August.

The reformed "Stay With Me" hitmakers then plan to head out on a world tour in early 2011 and they are set to thrill fans by bringing in other famous rockers to perform with them. Wood says, "We've had Noel Gallagher, Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics, Chris Robinson from The Black Crows."

Mariah Carey's spokesperson has sparked further speculation she's pregnant, after confirming the star pulled out of a new film on doctor's orders. The singer surprised fans after mysteriously dropping out of Tyler Perry's next movie, but now her rep reveals the decision was based on medical reasons.

"She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to," her publicist tells UsMagazine. "More than that I cannot comment further."

Vanessa Redgrave has thanked fans for supporting her through her recent family tragedies, insisting "the letters and prayers from strangers" have helped her cope with her grief.

The British actress was rocked by the death of her daughter, Natasha Richardson, in 2009 after a skiing accident, and the sad loss was compounded by the death of her brother Corin, who passed away in April , and her sister Lynn, who lost her battle with breast cancer in early May.

ABC is still trying to compensate the end of "Lost" by replacing it with equally gripping shows. The closest the network gets at the moment are "V" and the newbie "No Ordinary Family". However, there's a report that the Alphabet is brewing a plan to bring back "Alias".

E! Online reported that a "reliable insider" informed them about a talk in ABC where the award-winning series will get a "reboot". It should be noted that nothing is official yet because it is only a "very initial talk at this point".

Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up a release date for "Sherlock Holmes 2". At a presentation for their investors held on Thursday, May 27, the studio announced that "Sherlock Holmes" sequel will arrive in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2011.

Recently, producer Joel Silver confirmed that, not only Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, but also Rachel McAdams will return to the second film. However, she will not be the leading lady in the upcoming movie. The filmmaker additionally informed that shooting will start this fall and Moriarty is confirmed as the villain.

Rick Ross debuts a relatively short music video for "Money Maker", a track which was included in his "Albert Anastasia" EP. Like most of his other videos, the rapper takes viewers for a ride around the town, this time exploring Barbados' landscape.

The EP will be released next week as the precursor of Ross' fourth studio album "Teflon Don". "Anastasia" is named after an Italian mafia who lived as a barber and died on a barber chair. He was assigned as the barber in the Death House by Warden Lewis Lawes, giving 46 men and one woman their final hair cuts. But he ironically died while having his hair cut when two men shot him repeatedly.

Husband of late Brittany Murphy, Simon Monjack, has been laid to rest next to the actress at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles on Thursday, May 27. Monjack was eulogized in the Chapel of the Hills, the same memorial chapel where Murphy was also honored for the last time in December 2009.

During the funeral, around eighty friends and family members gathered for a private orthodox Jewish service. Family spokesman Roger Neal described the memorial, which was presided over by Rabbi David Baron, as "celebratory and healing." Neal said, "It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her."

It has been previously reported that Lindsay Lohan will play the major character in "Inferno". Now, several promo pictures from the movie have come out, revealing how the actress will be seen when playing porn star Linda Lovelace.

In an image which uses a plain yellow background, Lohan is seen stripping down to her underwear while lying on the ground. The other shot, meanwhile, captures her sitting on a bed with several men, whose faces are unseen, standing behind her. The 23-year-old star sports the same curly hair in both photos.

Simon Cowell's fiancee is set to tell all about the music mogul and their romance in a new autobiography, according to a U.K. report. Mezhgan Hussainy is putting pen to paper to write her life story, which will detail her childhood in Afghanistan as well as her family's escape from the country.

The 36 year old will also tell of her experiences as a make-up artist on "American Idol", where she met future husband Cowell. And reports suggest Hussainy is prepared to divulge plenty of personal information about the notoriously private businessman.

Late Boyzone singer Stephen Gately's husband is to receive almost $1.5 million from the star's estate, according to reports. The 33 year old was found dead in October at the home he shared with partner Andrew Cowles in Majorca, Spain.

Gately did not leave a will, but the details of his wealth have now been revealed - the Irish singer had amassed a $4.9 million fortune, according to the U.K.'s Probate Registry. The star owed $3 million in debts and taxes, leaving just under $2.3 million. Cowles will reportedly be handed $675,000 in cash, as well as half of the rest of Gately's estate - which amounts to $779,865.

A British teen drama which helped launch the careers of Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel is set to be transformed for the big screen. Patel landed his role in Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire" after director Danny Boyle's daughter pointed out his performance in "Skins", a series focusing on the debauched lives of a group of students in Bristol, England.

Hoult went on to land movie roles in "A Single Man" and "Clash of the Titans" following his stint in the racy drama. Now "Skins" bosses are hoping to copy their former employees' success at the box office with a full-length feature film next year.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles have dropped an assault case against KISS star Gene Simmons citing lack of evidence, after a couple alleged the rocker attacked them on a shopping trip last year.

Nathan Marlowe and his wife Cynthia Manzo claim Simmons assaulted them and took their video camera after he spotted them filming him at L.A. mall The Grove in December. The couple subsequently filed for a restraining order against the rocker, but that request was thrown out by a judge, and they are currently pursuing a civil claim through the courts, suing the bass player for assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress.

Oprah Winfrey has scrapped her Angel Network charity as she prepares to step down as America's most powerful TV talk show host next year. The media mogul announced last year that she is quitting her hit "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 2011 to set up her own cable network, after 25 years at the top of the U.S. daytime ratings.

And Winfrey has begun to cut ties with the show already - the charitable fund which she set up during an episode in 1997 has been closed down. The Angel Network was founded to help organizations across the world, and has donated $80 million in 13 years, including helping to build 55 schools in 12 countries and helping families in New Orleans, Louisiana to rebuild their lives after Hurricane Katrina.

A representative for Meg Ryan has dismissed rumors the actress has embarked on a romance with newly-single Tim Robbins - insisting the stars are just "great friends".

Robbins split from his longterm partner, Susan Sarandon, in 2009 after 23 years together. The actress has since been linked to her ping-pong club business partner, Jonathan Bricklin, although she denied they are romantically involved.

50 Cent has been back to his healthy shape. The "In da Club" rapper, whose pictures showing him losing a dramatic amount of weight for a movie hit the internet, was snapped walking into the Edgefield County Archives in South Carolina on Wednesday, May 26, with a much fuller figure.

Aiken Standard, which provided photo of 50 appearing in a good health, reported that the artist had a lunch at the Old Edgefield Grill accompanied by his aunt Gladys Simpkins. Mary Turner, front of the house manager at the Grill, shared that 50 ordered a cheeseburger all the way and french fries for lunch.

A representative for Kirsten Dunst has spoken out after a lawyer for the man accused of stealing her purse alleged there were drugs in the actress' hotel room - branding the comments "false and clearly a desperate ploy".

James Jimenez stood trial last year after he allegedly stole a designer bag from Dunst's suite at the SoHo Grand Hotel in New York in 2007. Jimenez was convicted on a misdemeanour count of criminal trespass in October, but members of the jury failed to reach a verdict on charges of felony burglary.

20th Century Fox has begun filling the empty slots in "X-Men: First Class". The studio has announced on Thursday, May 27 that James McAvoy has signed on to take one of the lead roles in the film, playing young Charles Xavier, aka Professor X.

Bald-headed, wheelchair-bound telepath Xavier was played by Patrick Stewart in the original "X-Men" trilogy. It has not been explained whether or not McAvoy will sport a follicle-free pate to portray the character. Beside the 31-year-old actor, no one has been announced as the cast for the upcoming film.

The CW has been generous in sharing the sneak peek to two of their new series. "Nikita" and "Hellcats" are the freshly-picked up series which will join the other shows this Fall. "Nikita" which is targeting older audience is set to replace "Melrose Place" while "Hellcats" which is about high schoolers replaces the short-lived "The Beautiful Life: TBL".

Viewers are given the background story of how Nikita became an assassin in the first place and what motivated her to bring down the division. DeWyze, the winner, is signed to 19 Recordings Limited and RCA Records, joining DAUGHTRY and Adam Lambert. His first single would be U2's "Beautiful Day" which he sung during the Tuesday final performance night.

Gary Coleman has been hospitalized in Provo, Utah hospital and he is now in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery, CNN reports. "I can confirm Mr. Coleman is a patient here at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He's listed in critical condition," hospital spokeswoman Janet Frank confirms the report.

Janet refuses to further explain what Gary is treated for, saying "We are not confirming what department he's in or any further details." However, the 42-year-old actor's brother-in-law tells TMZ that Gary was admitted to hospital on Wednesday, May 26 at around 12:50 P.M. after suffering a head injury during a fall.

Alicia Keys will add two new roles in her life, to be a wife and a mother. A rep for the 29-year-old singer and her producer boyfriend Swizz Beatz has confirmed to People that the couple is engaged and expecting their first child together.

Keys and Beatz "are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year," the rep revealed. The announcement came after the musicians attended Black Ball in London, which benefits Keys' Keep a Child Alive charity, on Thursday night, May 27.
