Animal activists are urging singer Usher not to replace fur coats that were stolen from his vehicle during a Christmas shopping trip. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) bosses have written to the R&B star in a bid to persuade him to stop buying furs as gifts.

The coats were among items taken from the "Yeah!" singer's SUV while he and a pal shopped at a store in Atlanta, Georgia on December 14, 2009. In the letter, PETA official Michelle Cho writes, "When it comes to these coats, you're not the first victim. The animals who were beaten, electrocuted, or drowned for those coats - the original owners - are the real victims. Please pledge to be fur-free."

Susan Boyle sparked complaints from travelers on Tuesday, January 12 after she reportedly began singing into a mop in a bizarre scene at London's Heathrow Airport. The Scottish singing sensation was said to have stunned travelers by dancing and belting out songs into a mop head in a first-class lounge, while awaiting a British Airways (BA) flight to Chicago, Illinois to film a segment on "The Oprah Winfrey Show".

Airline crew later asked the star to quiet down after she began shouting obscenities, according to Britain's The Sun. A source tells the newspaper, "It was chaos. Susan was very restless and agitated from the minute she walked in and immediately started making a scene. She was singing and dancing around, shouting obscenities at full volume."

Keira Knightley has withdrawn from the race to win the lead role in the upcoming "My Fair Lady" remake after waiting more than two years for the movie to begin production. The actress read for the role in 2007 and was even said to have taken singing lessons in the hope of landing the part of Eliza Doolittle, made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1964 musical.

She said of the "My Fair Lady" remake last year 2009, "I auditioned for it about two years ago, and I think it's been a matter of trying to assemble the correct team to do it that is going to make as interesting a movie and as good a movie as possible. There are good whispers going around, you know, and hopefully they'll come to fruition."

Rapper Pras is considering reuniting The Fugees for a special benefit concert to raise money for earthquake-devastated Haiti. The star - who has Haitian roots - previously poured scorn on the chances of the "Killing Me Softly" hitmakers getting back together, insisting the group was "straight dead". But he's hoping to convince ex-bandmates Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill to put aside their differences for the one-off show in aid of those affected by the massive tremor. He says, "That's the only reason I would think about doing anything on that level."

Pras has also criticized the government officials in the poverty-stricken country for failing to take precautions before the disaster struck. He tells Yo! Raps, "There's no communication down there. My mother told me this morning that she still has her mother's brothers and sister, who I've never met, who are still down in Haiti."

There is a huge possibility that "Smallville" will not return on The CW as scheduled. The network reportedly will participate in a telethon of "Hope for Haiti", a concert/charity event aired in multiple networks to raise fund for the victims of Haiti earthquake.

"Smallville" was set to air the remaining episodes of season 9 starting January 22 but the sudden tragedy has drawn celebrities to conduct a speedy program on the same date. There is no official statement yet from The CW but should it really happen then the highly-anticipated special episode "Absolute Justice" will also be delayed. The episode which will be wrapped in a TV movie format was scheduled to air on February 5.

The first look at martial arts film "Tekken" has been shared through a brand new international trailer. Highlighting the action scenes from the movie, the video gives a preview to the story of a young man who enters the last and greatest sporting event of all time to avenge the death of his mother.

The club promoter reportedly assaulted by Lloyd Banks and his pals has blamed "peer pressure" for the alleged attack, insisting he did nothing to provoke a fight. The G-Unit star and three of his associates were taken into custody by police in Ontario, Canada on Saturday, January 9, on suspicion of beating up club promoter Chris Hines.

Hines claims Banks showed up 90 minutes late to play a gig at nightclub NV in Ontario on Friday, January 8, and was upset to discover many fans had already left. Banks is then believed to have cut his set short. According to MTV, there was a dispute over Banks' booking fee and Hines alleges he was later confronted by four men upon returning to his hotel room.

Hitmaker M.I.A. has blasted the New York Times over an article about Sri Lanka. The "Paper Planes" star has posted the video for Space Odyssey on her Twitter.com site as an angry response to a Times story, which listed Sri Lanka as the top holiday destination for Americans in 2010.

M.I.A., whose family hails from the war-torn country, countered the newspaper's photographs of "scenic" Sri Lanka with stark images of the country's civil war between the Tamil and the Sinhalese government. The singer-songwriter's publicist tells Fader magazine, "The song and video were made Monday night for $100, after the New York Times - as she (M.I.A.) says 'f**ked up so hard'."

In anticipation of the TV premiere of its eighth season, "24" organized a party which was attended by both the stars and the crew. From Kiefer Sutherland who plays the centric character Jack Bauer, the event also witnessed the arrival of episodic writer Howard Gordon.

A source said, "Leona had been locked in her car by her security team and had to watch as her manager Nicola Carson was thrown on to the floor. They were both shaken. Jay-Z defends fellow rapper Kanye West for storming the stage of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and interrupting Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech. In an interview featured in the February issue of Interview magazine, he said, "I like that, man! I really do. I mean, no one's walking around here perfect. Everyone's gonna make mistakes. A leading Israeli army general has declared war on supermodel Bar Refaeli after learning she applied to be registered as a non-Israeli resident to avoid paying tax in her homeland. Through a press release, TV Land announced that it has appointed Brooke Burke to be the new host of "She's Got the Look". The former champion of "Dancing with the Stars" will be officially on board the modeling competition show in the third season. There is no aimed date yet for the premiere of the new season.

Production is set to begin next week in Los Angeles, CA. Along with Burke, model and TV reporter Roshumba Williams is joining the series as a judge. She will assist celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and Wilhelmina president Sean Patterson.

R&B star Kelis has slammed animal rights organization People for the Ethical treatment of Animals (PETA), defending her use of fur and dubbing founder Ingrid Newkirk a "batty" hypocrite. Kelis has made her feelings clear in an open letter after receiving a PETA missive asking her to stop wearing fur.

Addressing her fondness for animal coats, Kelis writes, "It's not just the look of fur. It's warm as hell and feels glorious, ever rubbed faux fur on your body? Nothing luxurious about that. If I started wearing endangered animals like polar bear or orangutan then talk to me. But the minks and chinchilla, that quite honestly are rodents and if weren't in the form of a coat I would demand they be put to death anyway (sic), are not an issue to me."

Matthew Morrison has inked a record deal with Mercury Records. The Will Schuester of hit TV series "Glee" will soon enter recording booth to start working on his debut album which is slated to come out later this fall.

Other details about the forthcoming release are yet to be disclosed. Back in October 2009, he told Access Hollywood about what he wants to record for an album. "I would consider it a classier Justin Timberlake album. It's going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats," he said.

As the team gets to work, their findings lead them to suspect they are investigating one of the most famous presidential assassinations in history.

Disgraced golfer Tiger Woods is set to rescue his good name by donating $3 million to Wyclef Jean's Yele foundation in an effort to create a mobile hospital in Haiti, according to rap mogul Russell Simmons. The Def Jam co-founder tells the New York Daily News Woods is considering the weighty donation that would help send doctors and supplies to Haiti to deal with the aftermath of a 7.3 earthquake which hit the nation on Tuesday, January 12.

The rap icon says, "Tiger Woods is working on sending a mobile hospital with 50 EMTs to go set up a triage." Simmons has called on all celebrities to join the relief effort.

Vanity Fair magazine has taken some shots of the cast for "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" to highlight "The Return of Gordon Gekko" on its February issue. Beside featuring the film's stars, Josh Brolin, Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, and Carey Mulligan, one of the images also includes director Oliver Stone.

Additionally, the magazine has also released a behind the scenes footage of the photo session which was held on November 22 in New York City. The clip shows Annie Leibovitz taking the photos of Douglas and LaBeouf on a street.

From sharing the screen with two other Playboy bunnies, Holly Madison gets her big break by securing a deal to have her solo show. E! Entertainment Television announced that it has ordered eight half-hour episodes of a docusoap that follows the former "Girls Next Door" star.

Madison is currently working and playing in Las Vegas, and the show which will be called "Holly's World" will capture her both on-stage and off-. "Audiences fell in love with Holly on E! and fans are eager to follow her next chapter," Lisa Berger, Executive VP Entertainment Programming, said. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is reportedly in talks for a top job in the fashion industry - as the creative director for American design house Halston Heritage. Another preview to R-rated movie "I Love You Phillip Morris" has been shared through a new trailer. Opened with a narration by Jim Carrey's Steve Russell who introduces himself, the video first highlights how he becomes a con artist and impostor which leads him meeting the love of his life.

Russell is a local Texas policeman turns to cons and fraud to allow him to change his lifestyle. His actions land himself in Texas' prison, where he meets and falls in love with fellow inmate Ewan McGregor's Phillip Morris. After Morris is released from prison, Russell escapes from prison four times doing whatever he can like faking his own death only to meet his lover.

U.K. boyband JLS have premiered a music video in companion to their latest single called "One Shot". Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan "JB" Gill and Oritse Williams are seen dancing, singing and dropping low to the ground in this video.

"One Shot" is the third single taken from the boys' self-titled first studio album "JLS". The track is expected to be made available for digital purchase on February 22 in coincidence with the end of their first U.K. headlining tour, which will be kicked off on date 1 at Ipswich Regent.

Socialite Casey Johnson's death has brought former best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie closer - they've bonded over the tragedy. Britney Spears' representatives have been quick to slam a report alleging the singer is heading for another meltdown, branding it "untrue". The National Enquirer published an article this week headlined "Britney headed back to psych ward", which claimed the "Toxic" hitmaker is "seriously depressed" and has been engaging in a "frightening display of tantrums and cries for help."

But a representative for Spears has taken to the star's official website to post a large "Bulls**t" sign over a copy of the National Enquirer's article to dismiss the report. Meanwhile, a source close to Spears tells GossipCop.com the story is "untrue".

Lady GaGa was forced to call off her concert at the Elliott Hall of Music of Purdue University due to a sudden illness. Following the cancellation, it was announced that the gig will be rescheduled later this month on January 26.

The Purdue concert started at around 7:30 P.M. on January 14. Opening acts Jason Derulo and Semi Precious Weapons performed on the stage before Purdue Convocations director Todd Wetzel came up with the shocking announcement.

British funnyman Ricky Gervais has quit Twitter after less than a month online - calling the social networking site "undignified" and "pointless."

The comic opened an account on December 14, 2009, because bosses at the Golden Globes wanted him to make a running commentary via Twitter as he hosts the awards ceremony on January 17, 2010. But Gervais ditched the site last week January 9, insisting the new phenomenon should only be used by teenagers. And he's unimpressed with other celebrities who use the device to "show off."

Finally, the identity of the producer that got Rozlyn Papa and himself in the hot water against the crew of "The Bachelor" has been revealed. Us Magazine obtained the picture of him wearing a kimono in what looks like a Japanese style place. His name is Ryan Callahan and he has been fired from the show since the scandal broke out last week.

Rozlyn was accused of having "inappropriate relationship" with Ryan when she had a meltdown for not being allowed to talk to her young son everyday. Rozlyn had denied that it was anything sexual, saying "If I had known that I was going to get accused of it, maybe I would have gone for it!" She was booted out of the show although she got a rose during a group date, allowing the chance for another girl to take her place.

Shakira, Oprah Winfrey and Chris Martin are the latest celebrities to plead for help in raising funds for the Haitian earthquake relief effort. The stars have joined Ben Stiller, Jessica Alba, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Wyclef Jean in calling for people to lend their support to those left homeless after the disaster, which rocked the poverty-stricken island nation on Tuesday, January 12.

Sheen was back to work at the comedy show last Monday, January 4, and shot his first episode on Friday, January 8, - just days after he was arrested and jailed following a heated fight with his wife Brooke Mueller. The "Resistance" music video take Muse's fans to one of the band's concerts during their 2009 tour. Directed by Wayne Isham, it documents the time concertgoers were lining up to get tickets and be the first to get inside the concert venue. Then, it rolls the footage of the band's live performance.

"Resistance" comes from Muse's latest studio installment of the same title, "The Resistance" which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200. A traveling show in support of the album has been launched across the globe since 2009 and is yet to be wrapped.

Lady GaGa, an advocate of LGBT community, will host an event that supports same-sex marriage to be legalized in the United States. The "Just Dance" singer will be on hand to lead Hands Up for Marriage Equality that takes place this Saturday, January 16 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

"I am honored to be able to continue to raise awareness and money for this cause and these outstanding organizations," GaGa said in a statement. "Organizations like these are in the trenches every day working on behalf of all of us whether you are LGBT or straight. Equal and full civil rights are supposed to be for all of us."

A representative for pop newcomer Ke$ha has denied the singer is dating a New York DJ, after the pair was spotted enjoying a night out in the Big Apple. The "TiK ToK" star, who is celebrating sitting atop the U.S. album charts following the success of her debut single, was allegedly seen getting intimate with club DJ Skeet Skeet at the city's trendy Greenhouse nightspot on Tuesday, January 12.

Reality TV star Heidi Montag is so intent on becoming the next Britney Spears she almost bankrupted herself producing her debut album.

"The Hills" personality is desperate to make it as a pop star, and recently underwent a staggering 10 operations to enhance her image, including breast augmentation, liposuction and work on her butt. Montag insists she put herself through the pain of cosmetic surgery to give her a chance of competing against the likes of the "Toxic" hitmaker. When the show visited Atlanta for season 9's audition, producers found General Larry Platt who impressed the judge with his self-penned song "Pants on the Ground" and a dance that a 62-year-old would not typically do.

The man is now going to make his first major TV interview. ABC's "The View" will have him performing the song and sitting down between the ladies to talk about himself on Monday, January 18 at 11 A.M. "Idol" judge Simon Cowell said that he had a feeling that "Pants" would be a hit.
