"Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" star and TV talk show host Mo'Nique is mourning the death of a staff member who was allegedly killed by her husband. The "Mo'Nique Show" set decorator Maureen Allaben was found dead in her husband Dennis Allaben's truck and police in Clayton County, Georgia have confirmed that he turned himself in.

DeKalb County Police Chief William O'Brien tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Allaben "just showed up at (Clayton County) police headquarters and said he'd killed his wife." Mo'Nique says in a statement, "We are all saddened by Maureen's passing but we also rejoice in having had the opportunity to know her sweet, soulful spirit. Live each day to the fullest."

Dixie Chicks' Erwin sisters have temporarily split from singer Natalie Maines to record a new family album. Martie Maguire and Emily Robison, who were both born Erwins, are working on a new project without Maines.

But the singer's father Lloyd, who co-produced the trio's 2002 album, "Home", insists the split is temporary and the girls are already thinking about their plans for the future. He tells CMT.com, "They were all here at my house for Christmas. Everybody seemed happy and healthy. And they were back here on New Year's Eve with their families."

While recent reports suggest that "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" will be happening soon, the plan to make the film could face a trouble. E! Online has just reported that there has not been a decision whether it will be made into one movie or two. Therefore, Summit Entertainment has not picked any director.

Believing that double the work means double the money, Summit wants to split "Breaking Dawn" into two parts. Meanwhile, author of "Twilight Saga" novels Stephenie Meyer, who is said having a different agenda, reportedly does not give her consent to the studio's plan.

Simon Cowell decided to quit "American Idol" just 30 minutes before he held a press conference to discuss his future on Monday, January 11. At the media gathering, the music mogul confirmed he'd be leaving the hit talent show when his contract expires at the end of the ninth season, which begins in America on Tuesday night.

A source tells Britain's The Sun, "Russ and Katy had a wander around Hampstead. They visited children's shoe shop Cubs and had a lot of fun checking out all the little bootees."

A representative for Taylor Lautner has dismissed internet speculation the "Twilight" hunk died after an alleged overdose.

Reports suggesting the 17-year-old star had died began circulating widely on Monday, January 11 after it was reported on a number of internet blogs and by users on social networking site Twitter.com. The bogus rumours alleged Lautner died at a Hollywood party after accidentally overdosing on cocaine.

50 Cent is eyeing a business collaboration with Vinnie Jones - he wants to launch a chain of traditional U.K. pubs in America with the Brit's help. The rapper, who has launched his own fashion range and fragrance, wants to expand his business empire by bringing pub-style diners to the U.S. - and he's begging the Snatch star to lend his expertise to the venture.

50 Cent explains, "I love the British pub. I have spent enough time in London and there is nobody who does a pub quite like England. Many people have tried to replicate the British pub theme over here in the States, but it just doesn't work, it's not genuine."

Sir Paul McCartney is preparing to walk down the aisle for the third time next year, according to reports. The Beatles legend is said to be planning to marry New York socialite Nancy Shevell, whom he has been dating since 2007, in a low-key ceremony to minimise press coverage.

A source tells Britain's Daily Express, "Paul and Nancy's relationship is rock solid and there's no mad hurry for a wedding. Canadian actor Dean McDermott's arm is in a cast after he suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, January 9. The speed enthusiast, who is married to Tori Spelling, was racing around the track at California's Auto Club Speedway when he lost control and smashed his bike, hurting his left arm in the accident.

Toni Braxton announced that she planned to retire from music industry and quit singing for the sake of her health in 2008. Wu-Tang Clan rappers Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon are appealing to fans to help them come up with a name for their new hip-hop supergroup. The trio, all founding members of the Gravel Pit band, has been busy in the studio working on their first album together.

"Iron Man" star Terrence Howard has split from his actress fiancee Zulay Henao. The 40-year-old actor began dating the Colombian beauty - his co-star in 2009 movie "Fighting" - in 2007 and proposed to Henao in May 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The couple has never confirmed its relationship until now, but Howard reveals he's no longer with the 30 year old. When asked if he's set to wed Henao, he tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "No, that didn't work out." Howard broke the news of his engagement to WENN in a Prague bar.

Former Skid Row rocker Sebastian Bach has lashed out at his first record label boss - insisting he's outraged a track he recorded with Axl Rose was passed over in favor of an unknown band. Bach confesses he started his own label, Get Off My Bach, because the music industry is so unstable even for the largest of rock icons.

And he has blasted former Atlantic Records artists and repertoire (A&R) man Jason Flom for snubbing a collaboration with the Guns N' Roses frontman - more than 20 years after Bach signed with the label. He says, "We live in a world (where) Van Halen doesn't have a record deal. I mean, Eddie Van Halen doesn't have a f**king record deal."

Two young singers, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, are scheduled to perform on the last day of this year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The two are going to take the mic for live concert on Sunday, March 21.

Prior to Justin and Selena's performance, Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will be visiting the show on March 7. There also be the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, Mary J. Blige, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts coming to the event.

"Friday Night Lights" is losing a hunk factor with the departure of Taylor Kitsch. When the show returns for the fifth season later this year, fans would not spot the depicter of Tim Riggins as much as before. Exec Producer Jason Katims said the exit was prompted by Kitsch's heavy schedule.

In an interview with E! Online, Katims said, "Taylor is shooting a movie [John Carter of Mars] and it doesn't work out with his schedule to have him on as a series regular for FNL next season." However, Katims said it is not the end of Riggins. "We are planning to have him come back toward the end of the season, and possibly do a couple along the way if we can work it out with production," he added.

Actor Thomas Dekker has avoided jail time following his drink driving arrest in October 2009 - he has been sentenced to two years of informal probation. On October 14, 2009, Dekker, who played John Connor in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", was arrested on two counts of felony driving under the influence (DUI) after allegedly running over a 17-year-old cyclist in California's San Fernando Valley.

The victim suffered minor injuries while Dekker was taken to a prison in Van Nuys. He was placed on $100,000 bail and charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI. According to TMZ.com, prosecutors have learned the bicyclist was at fault, by riding without reflectors the wrong way on a freeway on-ramp.

As promised by host Chris Harrison last week, the scandal in the 14th season of "The Bachelor" was laid out bare on the Monday, January 11 episode. Contestant Rozlyn Papa was yanked out of the show after Chris gave her the knowledge that they are in the know about her forbidden affair with one of the "staffers".

In an interview with the March issue of Slam Magazine, Dr. Dre revealed that his new album "Detox" will not arrive this year. "Well, I'm working on it, but also I've been working on other people's projects; you'll probably hear something in a year or so," he said.

Movie executives behind Denzel Washington's new movie "The Book of Eli" had reservations about casting the Oscar winner in the lead role - because they feared the African-American star was not bankable enough across the globe. Filmmaker Allen Hughes and his brother Albert direct Washington in the post-apocalyptic action film, but Allen reveals they had to fight to have the "Training Day" star cast as Eli.

He tells the New York Post, "I'm not gonna front - Denzel's black. His numbers are great, but internationally, does black travel? That's what really was going on. (The studio) was crunching the numbers."

Lady GaGa's foul mouth has landed her in trouble with broadcasting watchdogs - bosses at MTV have been forced to apologize after one of the singer's tirades was aired in Britain.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker was on stage at the U.K.'s Isle of MTV music festival last year when she peppered her performance with swear words. The U.K. broadcast aired on MTV, which went out in the middle of the afternoon, but bosses failed to cut the offensive words and incurred the wrath of executives at Britain's broadcast regulator Ofcom.

Mark Wahlberg has another daughter as his model wife Rhea Durham gave birth to a baby girl at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday night, January 11 at 6:35 P.M. They named the newborn baby Margaret Grace.

"Mark was in the delivery room with Rhea," a source informed Star Magazine. "And he cheered her on all the way. Rhea was a real trouper, and now they can't wait to get home and be a big happy family with their four kids."

Former "ER" actress Maura Tierney is "doing well" as she battles her way through breast cancer treatment, according to a producer on her previous TV show "Parenthood". The star was forced to halt production on the new TV project after she was diagnosed with the disease in July 2009.

However, after undergoing a "medical evaluation," the actress decided to take time out to beat the cancer and the role was re-cast. But "Parenthood" producer Jason Katims has kept in contact with Tierney as she undergoes treatment, and is hopeful the actress will make a full recovery.

Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards will return for its 45th annual celebration in 2010 with Reba McEntire tapped as the host. The multiple-award winning singer will host the annual event on April 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"No one does it better than Reba McEntire," Orly Adelson, president of dick clark productions and executive producer of the show, said in a statement. "She always brings spunk and personality to the show and we are honored to have the queen of country music back to host the awards for the 12th time."

The nominations for 2010 Writers Guild Awards have been unveiled on Monday, January 11. "Spider-Man" star Tobey Maguire regularly slips into his superhero outfit away from the cameras to entertain young fans at children's parties. Timbaland is stepping outside the studio to get down to the road for a tour supporting the second installment of his "Shock Value" album series. He will be kicking off the traveling show on January 15 in Virginia.

Josh Brolin is heading back to "Jonah Hex" after movie bosses ordered a series of re-shoots on the upcoming blockbuster. The "Milk" actor plays disfigured bounty hunter Hex in the Western, a big screen adaptation of the popular comic books, alongside Megan Fox and John Malkovich.

Shooting on the big budget production wrapped in 2009, but the stars are heading back to the set at the end of the month, January 2010 to film additional action scenes, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The move is the latest in a series of setbacks for the film, including the loss of directing duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who wrote the script but allegedly left the project following creative differences with Brolin.

A 30-second snippet of Muse's "Resistance" music video has been unleashed by MTV. The clip shows that the Wayne Isham-directed video focuses on the footage of the band's live performance on one of their concerts.

"Resistance" comes from Muse's latest studio installment of the same title, "The Resistance" which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200. Its accompanying music video will be made available for full viewing pleasure this coming Thursday, January 14.

Following problems on the script of "Spider-Man 4", Sony Pictures has scrapped the upcoming project. The studio is now planning to make a reboot of its "Spider-Man" film franchise, which will follow Spider-Man's alter ego Peter Parker during his high school age.

Adam Lambert may not be in "Glee" future, but Olivia Newton-John is. The veteran actress who claimed worldwide fame through "Grease" will guest star in a Spring episode of the new FOX series, sharing screen with the depicter of Sue Sylvester, Jane Lynch.

"Glee" star Jane Lynch has hit out at U.S. President Barack Obama for not making gay marriages legal across America - branding the country's leader "a huge disappointment". The openly gay actress, who has won rave reviews for her turn as tough cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in the hit show, insists the decision to ban gay marriage in California in 2008 shouldn't have taken place - because the majority don't have the right to vote on the lives the minority.

And Lynch is angry Obama hasn't stepped up to allow gay marriage across the U.S. - comparing the ongoing battle to the civil rights movement in '60s America. She tells Britain's Guardian newspaper, "Shouldn't there be safeguards against the majority voting on the rights of a minority?"

A woman who alleges she had an affair with shamed golf star Tiger Woods is extending her 15 minutes of fame - by teaming up with another self-proclaimed "mistress" for a new TV project. Jamie Jungers came forward last year 2009 with allegations the sports star seduced her at a party in 2005 and subsequently struck up an illicit 18-month affair with her.

She is now said to be making plans with Sarah Symonds, who went public with her own claims of an affair with British TV chef Gordon Ramsay last year, for a TV project to help women stuck in "bad relationships with married men." Symonds, who runs a support group for needy women, wants to film a TV special with Jungers to help raise awareness of the issue.

Supermodel Sophie Dahl and musician Jamie Cullum are now man and wife following a white winter wedding in the English countryside on Saturday, January 9.

The couple, who became engaged last year, tied the knot in a civil ceremony at the picturesque Lime Wood Hotel, in Hampshire, England surrounded by close friends and family. Dahl, granddaughter of late famed author Roald Dahl, was walked down the aisle by her actor father Julian Holloway.

Simon Cowell has announced he's quitting talent show "American Idol" when the new season ends in May (2010). Speculation about the music mogul's future on the show has been rife for months, with his brother Tony revealing a statement would be made in the early part of 2010 a month ago (December 2009).

He said, "A press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of (U.K. talent show) "The X Factor" to U.S. TV in 2011." And now Cowell has confirmed the news of his departure on the eve of the ninth series, which starts on Tuesday (January 12, 2009) in America.
