Holiday season is just around the corner and what a better way to celebrate than going into the theaters and seeing what movies are coming out this December. Giving over 20 movies to choose, December 2008 slate has laid down quite a selection for movie lovers from heart-warming drama "Seven Pounds" to tickling comedy "Yes Man". Hence, in aiding you to choose which movies to watch in the month of festivity, AceShowbiz have compiled the nine movies not-to-be-missed-out this December.

The selection is made based on the films' potentiality of becoming a box office hit upon its release as well as the tender drama, the entertaining comedy or the mind-blowing special effects they promise to deliver. The list starts off with "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" as the #1 must-see movie this December, and is followed in respective order by "Seven Pounds", "The Day the Earth Stood Still", "Revolutionary Road" and "The Spirit". In the meantime, the remaining four slots are dedicated to the just-entertainment movies for the holiday, "Yes Man", "Bedtime Stories", "The Tale of Despereaux" and "Marley & Me".

A glance of "The Mentalist" episode 1.09 has been revealed through its preview below. The preview features some parts on the episode showing an intimate conversation between Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. It also shows a big fire on a house.

With the title "Flame Red", the episode revolves around Patrick and his team doing an investigation over a murder of three National Guard veterans. Moreover, Patrick goes undercover for the investigation as he suspects the only surviving member of the National Guard unit could be the one who has murdered his friends.

A video footage from the set of Beyonce Knowles' "Diva" music video has arrived. Sporting a black biker jacket and a unique pair of glasses, she is directed to lit a cigar and throw the lighter onto a car, resulting on a huge explosion.

In related news, Beyonce Knowles made a stop at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, November 25. She performed "Flaw and All" from the deluxe edition of her 2006 LP "B'Day" and "Single Ladies" off third solo studio album "I Am...Sasha Fierce", which has been dropped in the U.S. stores since November 18.

Sneak peek to the episode 1.10 of "Fringe" has been revealed through recently released preview. The preview features a man who is found trapped on a wall. It also shows more on Olivia Dunham's mind communication with John Scott.

Entitled "Safe", the episode revolves around FBI agent Olivia and her team when facing an extraordinary bank robberies. It shows how Olivia, Dr. Walter Bishop, and Peter are shocked to find one of the suspects inexplicably trapped inside a vault wall as if it is solidified around him. As the investigation goes further, the thieves ambush one of the trio.

Having been officially signed to once again star as Iron Man in "The Avengers", Robert Downey Jr. now opens up about the difficulties of making a film with multiple superheroes. To Splash Page MTV, the actor who plays Tony Stark in "Iron Man" expresses his concern stating, "If we don't get it right it's really, really going to suck."

Continuing his remark, he says, "It has to be the crowning blow of Marvel's best and brightest because it's the hardest thing to get right. It's tough to spin all the plates for one of these characters." On his part in the project, he explains, "I think its important that I do what I'm supposed to do which is keep my side of the street clean."

No Doubt have been confirmed to perform as a headlining act at Bamboozle Festival. They will be playing at the event taking place at Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New York on May 3, 2009.

In addition to No Doubt's live appearance, the Live Nation-promoted festival will also line up Fall Out Boy as another musical guest. The band, fronted by Patrick Stump, will perform on May 2, 2009, one day before No Doubt take the show's stage.

A preview of "House M.D." episode 5.10 has been released. The preview features Dr. Lisa Cuddy moving into Dr. Gregory House's office while her own office is being repaired.

In the episode entitled "Let Them Eat Cake", House and his team deal with a high-profile fitness trainer who collapses while shooting an infomercial. As the team tests her, the patient's condition continues to worsen. The team soon discovers that the patient has a slimming secret that may be contributing to her deteriorating condition.

Dita Von Teese is photographed showing off her cleavage in a see-through dress on the cover of the German edition of Playboy and bravely baring her naked breasts in some raunchy spreads inside the men's magazine. All the pictures are featured on the publication's December 2008 issue.

One of Dita's pics inside Playboy shows her exposing her naked breasts to the camera as she's sitting on a red couch, staring seductively at a black telephone that is placed right beside her. She is seen in the pic wearing back stockings and a pair of matching heels with both of her hands tied-up and placed between her legs.

Hypening up the promo for "Terminator Salvation", Sony Pictures have released a new full-motion poster for the action thriller. Highlighting on the transformation of Los Angeles in the next nine years, the poster shows the destruction progress of the city from 2009 to 2018.

Beginning with an overhead shot of normal Los Angeles in 2009, the poster slowly morphs into the face of a terminator, particularly the early T-model, following explosion, collapsing buildings, and fire. AceShowbiz.com catches up with one of the most talked-about music acts today, Lady GaGa, just a few hours before she goes on stage with New Kids On The Block in San Diego as part of their joint tour. Lady GaGa claims her fame with "Just Dance" that reaches #2 on both iTunes and U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Her debut album "The Fame" was released in U.S. on October 28.

During the phone interview, she reveals how it feels like to open for the reunited boy band, and how if she's branded the next dance queen after Madonna as well as what's ahead for her in music.

A short video footage, previewing a music video for the title track off Britney Spears' forthcoming LP "Circus", has been released by her camp. In addition to providing a snippet of the music video, the footage also reveals that the "Circus" music video will be premiered on December 5 on Entertainment Tonight.

In related news, Britney Spears is going to kick off a series of European mini concerts in Frankfurt, Germany. A video showing her arrival in German's airport has also been posted after the jump.

With Thanksgiving is nearing, Josh Duhamel has revealed his plan to take his singer girlfriend Stacy Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie to his hometown of Minot, North Dakota. "I'm taking her home to North Dakota for Thanksgiving," the reality TV star tells Entertainment Tonight Canada. "Her and her whole family, so they're going to get a taste of some cold weather."

Speaking of the Black Eyed Peas vocalist, Josh says she has just returned from Dubai and is taking time to do "some wedding stuff." He won't go into details though when asked about his and Fergie's upcoming wedding, simply stating the preparation "is all going well."

ABC's popular dancing competition, "Dancing with the Stars", finally gets its winner. On November 25, the hit dancing competition show has announced Brooke Burke and her professional dancer Derek Hough as the champion for season seven.

After the announcement, model-actress Burke shares her excitement, saying "Unbelievable!" The same expression also has been given by Hough, he says "I actually can't believe it, I really can't. I honestly can't. The journey's been so long. It's been tough. It's been wonderful. It's been everything I could ever hope for. Wow. I can't believe we actually did it, girl."

Rumor has it, Cam Gigandet already has girlfriend. His secret leading lady reportedly is actress Dominique Geisendorff. Star magazine breaks the report and claims the supposed lovers have been living together in Los Angeles.

"Dominique thinks that Cam is the one she's going to marry," Dominique's grandmother, Helen Feldman, tells Star. "And I believe Cam feels the same way about her. They're very serious."

A music video aimed to promote Leona Lewis' song "Run" has been debuted. Filmed in Cape Town, South Africa earlier this month, the music video is directed by Jake Nava, the same man who helped Beyonce Knowles making "Crazy in Love" music video.

On the video, Leona is captured walking through the African forest all alone while singing the song. "The feel for this video is kind of like an enchanted, haunted forest," Leona commented on the experience of filming the video.

Playing it coy when he was asked by E! News' Michael Yo to verify the extent of his relationship with rumored girlfriend Camilla Belle, Joe Jonas had a diplomatic answer to that question, simply stating, "She's a wonderful girl." He gave no further clue if he and the actress really are an item.

Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle first met on the set of the music video for Jonas Brothers' hit song "Lovebug," in which she has a starring role. Rumors on them secretly dating began to spark after People featured a story on its site as being informed by a source that the singer has begun seeing the 22-year-old actress quietly despite the fact that he has just split with then girlfriend Taylor Swift.

It is official, the first trailer of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" will be available in mid-December. Confirming the great news to IGN, the 20th Century Fox have revealed that they are setting the first real look into the "X-Men" spin-off to be seen in theaters on December 12, attached to "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

Coming out with the exciting announcement, a Fox spokesperson further commented, "We are so excited that fans will be experiencing it first on the big screen." The downside though while the trailer will be exclusively previewed on the big screen, it won't be making its rounds on the Internet or on television soon after.

Rumor has it, The Cheetah Girls may split. Noting that "The Cheetah Girls: One World" tour will be the band's last show, Kiely Williams, one of the Cheetah Girls' members, told In Touch Weekly as quoted by 4tnz!, "We always knew that this tour would probably be our last."

Furthermore, Kiely revealed that the break-up decision is resulted from the negative publications surrounding them in the media lately. "We were excited about going out on a high note, it's sad that this negative attention [Adrienne Bailon's nude photos] put a damper on that," she said.

CBS' police procedural series, "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service", may get a spin-off treatment. It has been reported by reliable sources to EW's Michael Ausiello that the CBS network is in talk to produce a spin-off for "NCIS" series.

Further information on the spin-off adds that a "new crop" of naval detectives will likely be introduced through one of the episode of "NCIS" later this season. Moreover, the same sources also say that "NCIS" spin-off is possibly to be premiered as early as next fall. In addition, Ausiello noted that this CBS' new project will probably put on hold the network's "Criminal Minds" spin-off.

About a month away from its theatrical release in December, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" has brought forward few of its stills to attention. The pictures present Benjamin Button in different life phases from his baby to his old age in which he turns younger.

One of the photos shows him interacting with his love interest in a dance studio. Another picture displays him sitting on the deck of a ship reading a letter, while the other one presents a lot younger looking Button playing chest game. The remaining two images let out him being cradled and him sitting on a wheelchair as a seven years old boy in an 80-something years old body.

Movie heartthrob Robert Pattinson openly reveals that he's been forced to fix his teeth before starring in the box office hit "Twilight". According to him, producers of the action-thriller-romance flick were unimpressed with his smile and thus asked him to have some major dental work before shooting was begun.

"They wanted me to have the perfect smile. I never thought anything was wrong with my teeth," Robert said. "But the producers still wanted me to wear a brace."

An Internet-only-version trailer of "Star Trek" has been let out exclusively by AICN and it brings a nice surprise to the sneak preview. While most of the footage shown are similar to the theatrical trailer, this new trailer also gives out the first look into the older Spock portrayed by Leonard Nimoy.

The footage of Nimoy's Spock will be seen when the trailer hits the 2:14 mark, after the destructive attack to U.S.S. Kelvin. Though short, the snippet of the older Spock sees him saying, "Live long and prosper."

Ne-Yo premieres a music video for his third single "Mad" off newly-released third studio LP "Year of the Gentleman". On the video, he is seen fighting with her woman. "You don't trust me. I don't need this...," he shouts before walking out of his house.

On the next scene, Ne-Yo tries to save a child from getting hit by a speeding car, instead he gets himself killed for doing so. Invincibly appearing beside her lover, who cries over his death, he sings, "We don't even remember why we're fighting."

New father Pete Wentz had an interview with Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday, November 25, detailing on his newborn son's name, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, and recalling the day his wife Ashlee Simpson delivered the infant. He, moreover, also talked about him changing "quite a few" diapers.

Asked by Ryan how he and Ashlee came up with the idea of naming their son Bronx Mowgli Wentz, which people would refer to as BMW, Pete explained, "We came up with the idea Bronx. We've been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while. It's kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you're like, you know what: I don't think anyone really has the real story." As for the word 'Mowgli', the Fall Out Boy bassist revealed, "The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It's a cool name." He, furthermore, insisted the name isn't a joke just like what people might think, claiming "it definitely is his name, but I don't think anybody knows what the real story is of why or how."

During an interview at one of the fundraiser events in the Big Apple, Swizz Beatz revealed that he has submitted five songs to Eminem for his sixth major studio album "Relapse". Noting that one of them is a track which features 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, Swizz refused to share further. "I don't know the title yet, but it's classic. It's sounding big," he told MTV.

However, in a further statement, Swizz managed to give a peek at another song that he worked on. "You know how 'Stan' ... was the big [song]?" he asked, referring to Dido-featuring single from Eminem's 2000 "The Marshall Mathers LP". "So I worked on part 2, and I think it was, like, totally genius."

Becoming famous as one piece of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas has been included in Details magazine's annual list of "The Power 40." The 16-year-old boy, who serves as singer and guitarist of the boy band that he established alongside his brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas, is ranked 24th in the prestigious list.

Also making the list, which comprises of everyone from soldier to actor to pastor, is Lil Wayne. He secures the 29th spot in the list. Details calls the rap artist "Crossover Kid" and credits the success of his sixth studio album "Tha Carter III", which sold more than 1 million copies in its first week on the market.

A music video in support of Pink's new song "Sober" has been released. Starting with a capture of her lying on the bed, the video continues rolling with a scene where she is seen partying with several guys. Another scene shows her in the bathroom, throwing up.

"Sober" is a self-written single taken from Pink's fifth studio album "Funhouse", which has hit the market since late October. It mainly talks about a party hosted at her house, where all the guests were drunk except her.
