Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes' Cell Phone Recycling PSAs

Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes are giving their celebrity status a whole new meaning by taking part in social cause to promote cell phone recycling. The movie stars are raising awareness for people to start recycling their used cell phones in a bid to lessen CO2 emissions by limiting the energy needed to create new phones.

The Environmental Media Association (EMA) and Lionsgate studio are the two parties behind the public service announcements (PSAs) that feature both actresses. The magazine ads reportedly will start appearing on People magazine this Friday, September 19.

Lily Allen Confirms 'Stuck on the Naughty Step' Release Date

Lily Allen recently announces that she will launch her sophomore major studio effort next year on February 9. "My new album will be released on the 9th of Feb 2009. I know it's a while away, but there will be bits and bobs flying around before then," the singer wrote on her MySpace page.

Speaking of the materials from her next installment "Stuck on the Naughty Step", the "Smile" singer explains that she struggles to get all the things in the right place as she doesn't want to make a sub-standard record. "I am trying really hard to do this album with integrity," the singer added. "I just don't want to put out sub standard stuff . I always thought an album was a body of work in itself. you take it or leave it."

Nicole Kidman Globe-Trotting for 'The Eighth Wonder'

"Australia" star Nicole Kidman is moving on with a new film project, "The Eighth Wonder (2010)". The 41-year-old has been reported to be attached to star as well as produce the action adventure movie from "Mr and Mrs Smith" screenwriter Simon Kinberg. Still, what character Kidman will be portraying is yet to be shared out.

Though much details of the storyline is closely guarded, it is said that the story will resolve around an archaeological discovery that sets off a globe-spanning race. Kinberg who is also touted to direct the movie is said to pen the script in fall. On the film itself, The Hollywood Reporter (THR) described that the film produced also by Laurence Mark is aimed to be "a character-driven, treasure-hunting thriller".

Amidst his band's hectic schedule, Kevin Jonas still has time to channel his interest on posh car. The eldest of the Jonas Brothers was seen taking a white Lamborghini on a test drive in Los Angeles on Monday, September 15.

Kevin was seen wearing black t-shirt under his gray coat. He was also spotted wearing a watch, necklace and bracelet. He had what appeared to be sunglasses on his hands. No sign of the presence of his brothers Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. A peek of Kevin's Lamborghini test drive can be seen on The Sun.

2008 BET Hip Hop Awards Nominations Announced

This year, the nominee list at BET Hip Hop Awards is dominated by Lil Wayne as he grabs 12 nominations, including Best Live Performer. Besides that, the rapper is also listed in Video of the Year, thanks to his Gil Green-directed "Lollipop" music video.

Another artist who dominates the awards nomination is Kanye West. This year, he scores seven nominations, one of which is to compete with Lil Wayne, Nas, Jay-Z, and T.I. in Lyricist of the Year. Other nominees include Busta Rhymes, Flo Rida, T.I., and more.

Two brand new photos from the upcoming Presidential biopic drama from Oliver Stone, "W", has been outed by The Playlist. The scanned Vanity Fair's pictures uncover the first look into the complete cabinet of the 43rd and current President of the United States George W. Bush around 2003 from former Secretary of State General Colin Powell to White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer.

The first image posted at the news' photos displays Jeffrey Wright as former Secretary of State General Colin Powell, Toby Jones as then-Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, Dennis Boutsikaris as ex-Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Dreyfuss as Vice President Dick Cheney and Josh Brolin as Bush.

Preview of 'House M.D.' Episode 5.02: Not Cancer

The September 23 episode of "House M.D." has been given a preview. "Not Cancer" will be the second episode of the series which has just entered its fifth season with an episode called "Dying Changes Everything" where Dr. Wilson announces his departure from the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.

In "Not Cancer", House will hire a private investigator to spy on his team's move as well as Wilson's. The leading medical case this time is when a donor's organs cause several deaths of their recipients. In the last attempts to save the remaining organs receivers, House has to work with the team against time.

Serena Williams' 'Inspiring' Memoir Set for Fall 2009 Release

Dubbed as the world's top female tennis player, Serena Williams is penning a memoir with the intention it could help inspiring others. An editor for Grand Central Publishing announced Tuesday, September 16 that they will, in fall 2009, publish Serena's memoir of her rise to tennis glory.

Karen Kosztolnyik, a senior editor who acquired the book for Grand Central Publishing after a bidding battle, said "Serena Williams is one of the world's most remarkable athletes. We've watched her rise to No. 1 despite physical and emotional setbacks, and her hard work and determination have inspired legions of fans young and old." Karen added, "Serena will give her memoir a strong motivational slant."

'Trick 'r Treat' to Open 2008 Screamfest

"Trick 'r Treat" has been given the honor to be the opening movie for 2008 Screamfest Horror Film Festival. The Michael Dougherty's directorial feature film debut will be kicking off the U.S. largest horror film festival on October 10 with its screening at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood followed by a Q&A session with Dougherty.

Produced by Bryan Singer, Alex Garcia and Dan Harris, the flick starring Anna Paquin, Brian Cox and Leslie Bibb among others highlights on the scary consequences of dismissing a tradition. The anthology movie follows a suburban couple, a principal with a serial killer attitude, a young woman dressed as little red riding hood, a group of pranksters and a cantankerous old hermit when they each experience how scary a Halloween can be.

Reportedly, this movie project which plot is kept under wraps is aimed to aid Miley in her transition to an older role like what "A Walk to Remember" has done to pop singer-turned-actress Mandy Moore in 2002. A slight hint to the possible new form of Megatron in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" has been let out through a leaked image. Shared out by 2005 Boards Member S250, the new robot mode of the Decepticon's once fallen leader sports what looks like to be an advance canon on his right arm and tank treads for his boots.

Though it is still unclear whether this concept art is a fan-made or the original one, it seems to enforce the previous rumor that Megatron may be taking a tank alternate mode observing from the tank treads. Painted in silver, the pic also exposes that the baddie's left arm is badly damaged. The image of possible new Megatron can be seen via TFW2005.

'Role Models' Gets Its Red Band Trailer

Universal Pictures have presented movie lovers with a brand new red band trailer of "Role Models". Unlike its trailer which focuses on introducing the two main characters as individuals, this restricted video previews Danny and Wheeler as friends stuck in the same situation and must rely on each other to get past the mentorship program given to them as punishment for their ill behavior.

Danny and Wheeler are energy drink company representatives. While sarcastic Danny works as the company spokesman, charming Wheeler takes the inspirational mascot part. Having a bad day with their job, they top it off by crashing a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender causing them to choose either to go to jail or do 150 service hours of a mentorship program. Taking on what they believe to be the easiest way out from jail, they choose the latter and take on the 'Sturdy Wings' program to much of their surprise.

Shortly after stating that they have no problems having fans as their girlfriends, Jonas Brothers reveal their confidence that one day they would have their biggest fans as life partners. Reaching out to their fans through a post, titled "Ask Us Anything" on their their MySpace blog, the band answer questions about dating and touring that are asked more than others.

Responding to the question of "Would you ever date a fan? OR Have you ever dated someone who is not famous?", the brothers wrote "The answer is YES." They continued revealing, "We have already dated fans or girls that are not celebrities. In fact, we really like to believe that the girl we will spend our lives with will be our biggest 'fan.'"
