Is a pop singer, Jesse McCartney can now add modeling into his ever growing career resume as he's been tapped to be the new face of Bongo jeans. He replaces socialite Kim Kardashian for the company's fall and winter 2008 and 2009 campaign, making him the first solo male spokesperson to appear in the brand's advertising campaign.

Jesse's Bongo ad sees him pictured alongside five female models, all of whom showcase Bongo's "Fab Five Fits" jeans. "There's nothing better than a girl in a t-shirt and jeans so the Bongo shoot was a dream come true for me!" so he said referring to his Bongo ad.

Although already gearing up to release a new album this year, R 'n' B singer Trey Songz is still keen on promoting his latest LP "Trey Day", dropped in 2007, by premiering a new music video on July 23 via his official MySpace page. The new clip was filmed for his latest album's single titled "Missin You".

The video starts with the scene where Trey was left by his girlfriend after she finds out that he was cheating on her. The story continues on at a club where the singer seems trying to have fun and forget his girl but instead he found his ex in the club getting cozy with another man. That fact left him devastated and started to remember the beautiful time they once had.

Having successfully delivered a slacker superhero "Hancock", filmmaker Peter Berg has been reported to be tackling another superhero flick. Still, unlike in Hancock where he directs a movie featuring a considerably new hero, in "Hercules: The Thracian Wars", he will be making a movie about the legendary Greek hero, Hercules.

Tackling the project which is based on Steve Moore's five-issue comic book series, the helmer of "The Kingdom" will be using the script that is going to be written by Ryan Condal. He will also serve as the film's producer along with Spyglass' Jonathan Glickman, Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber.

New speculation surfaced by the hour that Michelle Williams is dating film producer Spike Jonze. Rumors that the twosome are a couple quickly sparked after they were spotted together near his Manhattan apartment in recent weeks.

Williams and Jonze, the ex-husband of "Lost in Translation" director Sofia Coppola, first met in 2006 when she auditioned for his film adaptation of the classic children's story "Where the Wild Things Are," which is slated to be released next year. "We have Hendrix's 'All Along the Watchtower,' 'The Times They Are A-Changin' the Bob Dylan song, [Simon & Garfunkel's] 'The Sound of Silence'," he said in an interview with MTV. The rumors that said Lee Ryan dumped his pregnant fiancee Samantha Miller are not true. The singer has denied reports he has ditched her, insisting they are still engaged.

Star magazine reported earlier this week that Ryan ditched Samantha after a series of heated rows and he already moved in with Simon Webbe, his ex-bandmate of the boy band Blue. A source was quoted as saying that Samantha found the break up as a "complete shock" as "she thought everything was going really well."

Still promoting his latest LP "Trilla", Rick Ross has premiered a new music video on July 23 via Yahoo! Music. The new clip, which was shot to accompany Rick's latest single "This Is the Life", also features the appearance of Trey Songz.

It seems that the clip, which was shot in a white background, is showing the rapper's idea of a happy life. On the clip Rick was being pictured as a boss who has everything that he wants such as women, money, fancy cars and all luxurious stuffs.

Big news is coming to "Hairspray" fans. Considering that the 2007 musical film has become such a hit with its record opening sales of $27.5 million, the second highest opening sales for a musical after "Mamma Mia!", the Broadway musical adaptation is going to get a sequel treatment with "Hairspray 2".

The sequel report came out after New Line Cinema inked a deal with the film's creator John Waters signing him in to write down the script of the follow-up movie. The studio are also expecting director/choreographer Adam Shankman, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, and Tony-winning songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman to come back and work on their magic on the second movie.

Heather Locklear is out of treatment. Already completed her four-week stint at an Arizona rehab facility, she is back home and said to be in good spirits.

A close friend of her told People magazine, "Heather's feeling really great. And she looks beautiful, just radiant." Furthermore added that the actress' recovery is "a work in progress," the friend also revealed "She told a really funny story and she laughed from her core. That's when I knew she was going to be fine. I think that's the best part of all - it's so nice to hear her laugh."

Pink has just revealed new details about her upcoming album by announcing the official release date for her fifth studio set to the press. The pop singer stated that her yet-to-be-titled LP is being scheduled to hit the stores on October 28.

From the new LP, Pink will be dropping "So What" as the first single and it is being set to be released through radio airplay on August 18. The track itself was written by the pop star with the help from Max Martin and Dave Meyers.

Two days before "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" is debuting in the theaters across the U.S., the 20th Century Fox held a very special event celebrating the world premiere of the highly anticipated sci-fi movie of this summer. The first special screening event was held on Wednesday, July 23, at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The celebration which is open for all X-Philes saw some of its star cast ensemble grazing the red carpet, including Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Xzibit and Amanda Peet. After many speculations surface on the press recently about his new album, Dr. Dre has finally revealed the details regarding his long awaited LP confirming that it will be dropped this year. Although he hasn't set the exact release date yet, the rapper/producer told the press that he plans to drop "Detox" in November or December.

Confirming about the time he will release his new record, Dre told USA Today, "In a perfect world, I'm shooting for a November or December release." He also believes that his new record would be a hit saying, "I'm just now-over the last couple of months-starting to feel that it's going to be right and it's something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it."

Nas' new album's success in leading the U.S. Albums chart this week becomes the fifth time for the rapper until this year. His latest LP that managed to top the Billboard Hot 200 was "Hip Hop Is Dead" in 2006.

For quite sometime, many have been enlightened with the reports that Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra's comic book series "Y: The Last Man" will be adapted into a trilogy movie with "Disturbia" director D.J. Caruso to helm. The question left to be answered now is when the first film is actually ready to make its debut in the big screen.

Giving an update about it, Caruso suggested that "Y" is most possibly coming out in 2010. When asked by Superhero Hype about the rumor of the movie being released in summer of 2010, the 43-year-old set the record straight saying, "2010. That's what I've been hearing. Don't mess with the Jolie-Pitt. Musical duo Gnarls Barkley have just premiered a new music video on July 23 through MTV. The clip which, was directed by renown director Chris Milk, was made to accompany the group's latest single "Who's Gonna Save My Soul".

The clip starts with the scene of two people talking seriously in a diner. The man then stabs his heart and takes it out only to let it speaks by itself. The duo only appear towards the end of the video with them portraying the cook of the diner.

It seems that teenage sensation Miley Cyrus is up for another round of controversy. After the 15-year-old generated much debate when her topless photo for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine's June issue hit the stands, the "Hannah Montana" star is reportedly looking forward to be baring more skins for an adult role in a new movie entitled "Undiscovered Gyrl".

Report regarding the role claimed that if the Disney's starlet is indeed cast, she will definitely expose more than what she has shared with the Vanity Fair's photos. According to MSNBC, an insider revealed, "If she does get the part, you will be seeing a lot more of her than you did in the Vanity Fair photos - there would definitely be nude scenes." As for comment from Miley's camp regarding this rumor, there are none offered so far.

Is having his movie, "The Dark Knight", scores the number one spot on the weekend box office with $158 million while at the same time also wows movie critics who give it positive reviews, Christian Bale is the other one that keeps the public talking during the week with him being arrested on assault allegations filed by his own mother and sister. Bale's arrest occurred just hours after he attended the European premiere of his new Batman movie in London's Leicester Square on Monday, July 21 alongside co-stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Michael Caine. The 34-year-old actor was arrested over allegations that he attacked his mother Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, at London's Dorchester Hotel on Sunday night, July 20.

Authorities reportedly didn't immediately arrest the actor following the star-studded event soon after his mother and sister filed their suit as they believed he would not flee the country to resist arrest, adding that the lack of severity in the case made it impossible for them to make an immediate response. The authorities thus arrested him on Tuesday, before later that day released him on bail after a session of questioning by London police. He spent more than four hours talking with authorities but was not charged with any offense.

The new music video from Plies, that was shot to accompany his new single "Please Excuse My Hands" has just been premiered on July 23 via BET 106 & Park. The clip was co-directed by Zipper On Butta Fly Leather and the rapper himself and it also features the appearance of Jamie Foxx & The-Dream.

The scenes from the clip start with Plies making an appointment with Jamie to go the the actor/singer's lounge, where they were partying with lots of beautiful girls there. After that, the rapper continued his trip to meet The-Dream before heading to a club and partying again.

The rumors are true that Matthew McConaughey sells the first pictures of his son to OK! magazine though the amount of money he receives from the deal remains undisclosed. Confirming the talk of the town, the official website of the publication has on Wednesday, July 23 made public the first ever pic of the actor alongside his model partner Camila Alves and their boy Levi Alves McConaughey.

"Yes Man", the latest upcoming feature film starring funny man Jim Carrey has unveiled the first look into the comedy movie to movie lovers through its teaser trailer. Released by Warner Bros. Pictures, the video footage helps viewers get a better understanding of the tidbit's core story as well as the tickling sequences.

Ethan Hawke is a father for one more time, making it his third, when his wife Ryan Shawhughes gave birth to a baby girl in New York City last Friday, July 18. The newborn baby is named Clementine Jane Hawke. No further details are made public about the baby though.

No words from the couple or their people about the good news. A close family member, meanwhile, was quoted as telling People magazine on Wednesday, July 23, "I expect that they should be very good parents. They both love children, and they love each other ... I know they are thrilled."
