Universal to Bring Neil Armstrong to Big Screen

Latest reports have claimed that Universal Pictures have obtained the screen rights of "First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong". According to Variety, the studio is set to adapt the nonfiction tome and make it a feature film material.

Reportedly, the film will pick up the story of the first person to set foot on the moon. It will be written by co-scribbler of "Challenger" Nicole Perlman, while Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are set to produce the pic.

Spice Girls' Melanie C plans to have a baby soon. This thought was revealed to the press recently after the all-girls band finished their world tour. Mel C said the inspiration to have a baby came to her mind after spending time with her fellow band mates and their children on the tour.

The singer felt that watching her friends and their children made her believe that she could be a good mother. "Being backstage at the shows with the girls and all the kids made me think, Yeah I could be a good mum," she said.

Ben Stiller to Produce 'King Doug'

The comedian Ben Stiller is going to team up with DreamWorks SKG to bring "The Return of King Doug" to the big screen. Variety reported that the 42-year-old actor is going to produce the comedy fantasy film for the studio.

The star of "Night at the Museum" series will co-produce the film through his Red Hour Films. In producing the pic, he will be accompanied by his production house's partners Stuart Cornfeld and Jeremy Kramer as well as Closed on Mondays' Eric Gitter. Additionally, the husband of actress Christine Taylor may also appear in the movie as the star.

It appears that Kate Hudson is ready to take her romance with Owen Wilson to the next level, planning to move in with the actor. The movie beauty, according to the N.Y. Daily News' Gatecrasher column, is looking for a new apartment in N.Y.C. where she can live in "part time" with Owen.

"She is ready to nest and has even been talking about having more little ones," a friend of Kate tells the NY Daily News. "She is relieved to be more settled again. She really felt as if she were testing her limits going out while she and Owen were separated."

'Casablanca' Remake Not True?

Following the surfacing rumors stating that Madonna is planning to develop the modern version of classic film "Casablanca", latest reports claimed that the story is a false one. According to TMZ, the pop star legend and her camp have slammed down the speculations that the 49-year-old singer is going to do a remake of the romantic film.

The denial response came after it was reported earlier that the wife of acclaimed director Guy Richie reportedly wanted to resurrect her acting career by starring in the new version of the film that is considered to be one of the greatest films of all time. At the time, a source revealed, "She is still determined to make it in the movies. She and her representatives have been touting around a project which is a remake of Casablanca."

Madonna Opening Up All Girls' School in Malawi

Revealed that matter to Elle, the singing sensation told the publication that she's in the process of applying to find the educational establishment in Malawi, where she adopted son David Banda way back in 2006. "I'm buying land and getting permission to build a girl's school. The women will play a big role in the future and rebirth of Malawi," so she told the publication.

Michelle Williams' 'Unexpected' Release Date and Tracklisting Unveiled

In a press release issued today (April 2), it is revealed that Michelle Williams (II)'s "Unexpected" album will arrive in stores on August 12 with first single being "We Break the Dawn" that was already debuted late last month. The album is executive-produced by Beyonce Knowles' father Matthew and features an impressive list of other producers.

Those forming the producer panel are Stargate; Jim Jonsin (Jamie Foxx, Lil Wayne); Rico Love (Usher, Tiffany Evans); Wayne Wilkins (Pink, No Doubt); and Andrew Frampton (Natasha Bedingfield, Kylie Minogue). The last two producers in particular have produced "We Break the Dawn" which is co-written by Beyonce's singer sister Solange Knowles. The second single is slated to be the Stargate-produced track "We Stop This Car".

According to MTV Movies Blog, the returning of the teenage with a double life to her home in the yet-untitled film "Hannah Montana" has been revealed by the actress who popularized the character, Miley Cyrus.

To the music network site, Cyrus allegedly explained that though as a pop star, Hannah Montana has traveled across the country, there is still one place that she never been to, Nashville, Tennessee, and in the film, the teen pop sensation will go back to the country music town. "[She's] going to Nashville," said the 15-year-old actress/singer.

The husband of No Doubt's singer, Gwen Stefani, will soon drop his debut solo album and a lead single called "Love Remains the Same" has been released on iTunes, yesterday (April 1).

The single is a ballad that is taken as the first single lifted from Rossdale's upcoming album titled "Wanderlust". Reports said that the album will be released later this June, allegedly on date 3. On the concept of the album, the former frontman of Bush and Institute said, "It's really kind of atmospheric and good. And I'm really excited about it."

'Heroes' Star Hayden Panettiere Joining 'No Kiss List'

Television beauty Hayden Panettiere is going to appear in a new feature film for Fox Atomic entitled "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List". The actress who stars as indestructible teenage cheerleader in the hit television series "Heroes" has been reported by Variety to be tapped to star in the drama film.

Adapted from Rachel Cohn and David Levithan's novel under the same title, "Kiss List" follows the story of Naomi and her gay best friend Ely, who make a 'no kiss' list to keep their friendship unbroken. However, the friendship is put into a jeopardy as Ely kisses Naomi's boyfriend. The film is set in Manhattan and it is expected to be released in 2010.

'Forgive Me', New Pop/R'n'B Track From Leona Lewis

With the U.S. version of "Spirit" ready to be released next week, a new track from Leona Lewis called "Forgive Me" has surfaced on-line. This would be one of the two the joints that is added to the original version so that it can appeal to American fans.

"Forgive Me" is produced by Akon and has the Pop/R 'n' B vibe that is not the major sound of the original U.K. version. Another track called "Misses Glass" has also been prepared to support the release. It is a piece produced by Madd Scientist and Rock City who was also contacted by Lewis' producer Clive Davis to revamp the album.

Country Singer Trace Adkins Becoming Grim Reaper in 'American Carol'

The country star Trace Adkins is going to be a ghost in "An American Carol", the satire comedy version of Charles Dickens' classic novel "A Christmas Carol". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 46-year-old singer is going to portray the Spirit of Christmas Future, who is also known as the Grim Reaper.

By playing the Reaper, Adkins will be starring opposite the film's star Kelsey Grammer in the David Zucker's film. His character has been described as the one who help Grammer's character in avoiding a tragic end by using his musical talent. Aside from sharing the screen with Grammer, the "You're Gonna Miss This" hitmaker will also join Jon Voight, Leslie Nielsen and Dennis Hopper, who are set to make cameo appearance in the film.

Both the artists also dance in front of a large digital clock that counts down 4 minutes. Weezer's Another Self-Titled Album Release Date Set

Previously thought only a hoax in celebration of April Fool's day (April 1), Weezer confirms that their new album will be titled "Weezer" for the third time. To differentiate the new set with the two others, this forthcoming release will be referred to as "Weezer (Red Album)".

The publicist also confirmed that the Geffen album will be released on June 17. The first single, according to a report on RollingStone.com, is in most probability "Pork and Beans", a title that is not in match with frontman River Cuomo's description. He wrote on the band's website that the single is "one word, starts with a T, ends with an R and contains twelve letters."

Superheroes Creator Stan Lee Teaming Up With Disney for Three Pics

Following the signing of exclusive deal between the creator of comic book superheroes Stan Lee and Walt Disney Pictures, it is now reported that Lee and Disney have set up three feature film projects. Variety reported Lee and his POW! Entertainment's partner Gill Champion will be the executive producers of the three films entitled "Nick Ratchet", "Blaze" and "Tigress".

Though keeping the storyline of the three movies under tight wraps, it is explained that "Ratchet" will be based on a screenplay written by "P.S., I Love You" helmer and scribbler Richard LaGravenese, while "Blaze" is set to be written by Robert Goldman and "Tigress" will be penned by Zoe Green. Further, "Rachet" will be directed by LaGravenese. It should be noted also that "Tigress" is not the same movie project as the previous film of the same name which is also developed by Lee. The earlier announced film project which has Michelle Rodriguez attached as the star is based on a "Conan the Barbarian" villainess.

Previously only giving a hint, Slash finally reveals that his Velvet Revolver bandmate, Scott Weiland is officially off the group. The guitarist blamed the decision to boot off Weiland on "erratic behavior".

The Hollywood rumor mill went into overdrive again as new report surfaced by the hour that Beyonce Knowles and her longtime boyfriend Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license. Both music superstars obtained a wedding license in Scarsdale, New York Tuesday morning, April 1, according to People.
